Macaroons

The snow has melted very quickly and we were left with a damp, dreary day today.

We decided to pay a visit to Ladurée, on the Champs Elysées, which some consider to be the most beautiful Avenue in the world.  Each and every day, Ladurée creates macaroons, sweets, pastries and other desserts, to tempt Parisiens and tourists alike.  They are most famous for their macaroons and I have bought some virtual ones for all of you!

Tomorrow I shall be travelling home again and looking forward to catching up with all your Blogs.

At least they don't make you fat from a picture! They look delicious.

Macaroons are my favorite cookie. Can I say that I am so jealous you were in Paris. That's one place on my "wish list" to visit someday. I was in England many years ago and fell in love with it. I just love places that have so much history, unlike the United States. I saw many houses with those thatched roofs and beautiful gardens. Las Vegas is so "brown,"

Thanks Becky. I prefer the pale yellow to the blue I had before, so glad you like it too! I will do a post about the thatched cottages.

I have read about Laduree in blogland before, seems to be everyone's Parisian favourite! I had never even seen these coloured Macaroons before that.
