At The Bottom Of The Garden Is Where I Am!

Hallo little bloggy friends.  Thanks to my wonderful son-in-law who lives in Paris, I am now able to take my laptop right down to the very bottom of the garden, so that's where I have escaped to at the moment!

I'm typing this on the verandah of the summer house.  The sun is shining and the air is full of the scent of roses.  I have never seen so many butterflies in the garden, so I'm hoping that this is a sign that we will be blessed with a halcyon summer this year.

This is the view I have as I type ...

Well, tomorrow it will be one week exactly until the wedding!  The weather is absolutely glorious at the moment, so I do hope that it will be kind to us on the day.  Still, there is nothing we can do about that, so we will just have to make the best of it, but I want you to all have your positive hats on this week and send lots of sunshiny thoughts to our little part of England.

Hubby had his hair cut this morning and I didn't even have to nag him about it!  On Wednesday, I will drive to the local airport to collect the family from Paris, so I'm looking forward to that.  The Hen Night is on Thursday evening and I know that my other daughter has lots of things planned for that.  (The mind boggles!  I shall be keeping a low profile, and just let the youngsters get on with it.  I shall be in bed by 8.30 p.m. with a hot chocolate gearing myself up for the big day! Hee Hee).

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.  I wish you days filled with  good things, which is nothing less than you all deserve for being such lovely friends.  I have gained a few new Followers in the past couple of weeks and I would just like to welcome them on board.  I hope you will visit often and I look forward to getting to know you all as well.

Wow, that looks a great place to sit, blog, drink tea and relax, which is just what you need to do before the big day next weekend. We have a small conservatory that we use in the Summer, no good in the Winter as it is only single glazed. It gives some protection for my husband who had a malignant melanoma two years ago so has to be very careful. In fact we were all in it on Monday when my 3 week old grandson came with mum and dad. (We had the wedding last year)

Have a great weekend, and lets hope the weather is like this for a few more weeks, we are off on holiday soon!! Take care, nice to meet you, I am a new follower from Surrey, Jackie.

Your garden always inspires me, Thisisme. It is absolutely beautiful and I can almost smell those roses in bloom. I will indeed send you some Florida sunshine next Saturday if you will send me some English rain in return. I'm just wondering what that G-T lady has up her sleeve for the hen party! Goodness knows! I have nothing but an abundance of love and respect for you, dear Thisisme! Have a fine weekend!

What a nice retreat! I need a little house like that. What a great inspiration for stories with a view like that. Sending prayers your way for sunshine on the big day. Run over to my blog for a second to see a quick peak at your adopted chick. It's short but sweet.

Dittos for the great weekend!

SkippyMom = yes, I am very lucky to have such a peaceful spot, I must admit. Thank you for all your good thoughts for good weather my friend. Have a lovely weekend, and I'm sorry that you will be on your own this evening :(

Bethe = thank you so much for your prayers my friend, and for remembering the cream tea!

vintch - yes, it is the perfect spot, and I really am trying to be a bit chilled this weekend before the big day!

Jackie - thank you so much for popping by and becoming one of my faithful Followers. You have joined a very special group of people here!! It must be very exciting for you at the moment, with the new grandson on the scene. They really are such a blessing.

Claudia = Eeek! I hope that I will be able to get some good photos. You know what it's like, with so much happening at a wedding!

Shady = hallo my dear friend. The garden is lovely and peaceful, and quite large, so it does take a lot of work to keep it looking good! As you say, goodness knows what that G=T has up her sleeve. There have been parcels arriving for her by post on a daily basis since last week! It's a deal, you'll send us the Floridian (is there such a word. It sounds good!!) sunshine, and we'll send you some cool, English rain. Have a lovely weekend and take care.

I think we are "all" a little jealous over your summer house. It's beautiful and so welcoming. Have a great weekend yourself and say hi to your hubby for me. I will be getting my ears lowered too as the saying goes here in NC.

Beautiful spot you have there and if your roses are anything like mine this year, there is plenty of scent in the air!

Have a great weekend ... :0)

Your son-in-law *did* this summer house for you?!? Simply lovely!

And even nicer, since I don't think you have flying, biting mosquitoes in the UK. In Ireland they are not be-deviled by such pests, so guess you don't have them either.

Here, any sitting outside, in un-screened-in places, insures that I am a target for mosquitoes. And the "keep-'em-off sprays" are so stinky. -sigh- I basically do not even try to sit on our front or our back patios. -pout-

You are sooooooo lucky to have this summer house. Good for you! Enjoy!~

Shirl - hi there! Yes, the roses are certainly stunning this year. Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for popping over to leave a comment!

I love your summerhouse Diane. Fingers crossed the weather will stay good, I think you may just be lucky. I can just imagine what it will be like in that lovely garden of yours, butterflies and roses, champagne and children, sheer bliss. Enjoy it all. Thanks for your comments, yes I am very relieved and thank God for medical advancements. God Bless, love Linda x

Glenda - thank you. I'm coming right over to see you when I've finished these comments!

Aunt Amelia's Attic - NO! My son in law didn't do the summer house. He fixed up my computer so that I could use it a long way from the house! Fortunately, we do NOT get those horrible flying mosquitoes! So we can quite pleasantly sit outside in the warmer weather.

Belle - No! I can't believe that the wedding is almost here either. The time has gone by just so unbelievably quickly.

EvaMarie - yes, the weather has been quite wonderful today. Thank you for all your good thoughts for the wedding.

Anna - thank you so much for all your good thoughts for the wedding! i really do appreciate them all.

flowers on my table - Hi Linda. Yes, the summerhouse is lovely. We are going to put lots of toys in there next Saturday, so it will be something else to hopefully keep the children entertained! I didn't expect you to be back blogging quite so quickly, so it's lovely to see you here!

lyndylou - yes, summer seemed to arrive yesterday, and it's gorgeous out there today. I shall have everything crossed for this time next week.

Bouncin,Barb - Hey! How lovely to have you back here again. You've certainly been missed my friend. If BB says it will be sunny, then I've got nothing to worry about ! :) You're right, there's nothing you can do without income. Just how much longer are the Authorities going to drag this situation out for you. It really is bad. Sending big hugs right back at ya!!

LV - it is rather lovely down there in the summer house, I must admit. I shall be using it a lot now that the weather has improved.

Linda - it would be a lovely place for you to do your writing, wouldn't it?! Thank you SO much for your sunny thoughts my friend.

Orchid - Oh, I am so happy for you that it worked, and you can now leave comments again!! It has been a very frustrating time, hasn't it?! Why on earth doing what we did made it work, I have no idea! Nice to know that I'm good for something! Hee Hee!! Thank you for always popping across and leaving a comment. I really do appreciate it. Your English is excellent by the way!

Chatty - yes, ONE WEEK exactly now! Eeek! You prayers would be appreciated my friend. It's such a gorgeous day out there today, but you can just never tell with the weather here in England. It can change so drastically from one day to the next.

Jo-Anne Ramblings - I'm like that when my grandchildren are visiting, although it's either Thomas the Tank or Toy Story (which I really like!!).

Teresa - yes, it really is such a relaxing spot, and I know that you would love it! Have a lovely weekend my friend.

Susan - how lovely to see you here today, and thank you for your kind comment about my blog! Yes, I think 'anxious' is a good word for me right now! Hee Hee! But mostly about the weather. If that turns out okay, I know everything will be perfect.

Sush - Beautimous, I love it!! No,I'm not a list maker, but you are right, this weekend I really must make one, so that no little last minute thing gets overlooked. My daughter has been brilliant and has been working through her list since planning started. I just can't believe how quickly it has come around. Thank you so so much for all those loving thoughts coming across for the big day my friend.
