Sunday Snaps!

This coming Thursday, the 8th December, my number one granddaughter will be fourteen years old, so today I thought I would share a few snaps of Eleanor growing up.  As you can see, unlike little Ruby Violet, Eleanor was born with a full head of hair, plus two teeth!!

I look at these photos and I am so proud of the young lady that she is becoming, and I realize how blessed I am to have such a lovely girl in my life!

Thank you for featuring your wonderful granddaughter Eleanor in this week's Snaps, Thisisme. We don't see or hear very much about her. I join the others in wishing Eleanor a happy birthday. It promises to be a very exciting year in her life. My own granddaughter is 14. Eleanor surely has blossomed into a tall and beautiful young woman and I can tell how proud you are of her. I remember that marvelous picture of her walking Alfred from a previous post. I wish you and yours a peaceful Sunday, dear friend!

Wonderful to have happy grandchildren in our lives, isn't it? It makes getting older easier to handle when there are joys like these to keep us on our toes.

EVERYONE - Thank you for your sweet and lovely comments about Eleanor. I do appreciate them, and certainly, getting older is so much easier when we have lovely grandchildren to watch grow and develop! I was speaking to Eleanor on the phone to France just now, and she was reading all these comments out to me!! Thank you again my friends for always taking the trouble to pop across to see me x

Sweet Thang, the world knows quite well how proud you are of that very pretty teenager and I love seeing how close you two are. I know she must be getting so excited about the trip you two will be taking before too long on vacation. The pictures of her growing up were adorable. Thanks for letting us share in your joy.
Hugs,
Odie

Odie - sweet thang! I like that! She really is such a sweet girl, that I just can't help be so proud of her.

Happy Sunday! And Happy Birthday to Eleanor! I can see the family resemblance-and, yes, blessed with long legs. She's a beauty and looks to be a very happy girl (guess I shouldn't say child anymore, huh?) Have a fun week!

She is a beauty like all your grandkids. Has to be the genes. I knew we had I lot in common, my oldest grandson (Bobby) was 14 in June, his brother (Duncan) was 9 in August and Jack was 3 in June.

MAKE IT A GREAT WEEKEND. LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

Desiree said...

Happy Birthday, Eleanor! You were a gorgeous baby and you've grown into a beautiful young lady!

Desiree said...

Oops! Popping back to tell you there won't be any contest over at Shady's dell. I have sorted it all out in a dignified manner!

Thisisme. said...

kneesandpaws - thank you so much Jenny! I'm a very luck grandma!

Gawgus things - Yes, couldn't agree more, it's all down to the genes!! Hee Hee! Wish I had her long legs though! x

Susan - thank you for that nice comment, and she is certainly not a child any longer! Thank you for always popping over to see me. Hope you've had a good weekend.

rainbow - I hope that you get to see Bobby and Duncan, because I know that you must miss little Jack now that he is in England. I hope that they are settling in okay over here.

Desiree - thank you my friend! I will now pop over to see what you have been up to over at Shady's blog!! Hugs to you.

Oh yes, you should be proud.Isn't she beautiful.I know that's not what makes you proud though.Their sweet goodness inside is what makes all Grandma's proud. My oldest Granddaughter is now 19,so good and smart. That moon was on line.My camera is not that good,I've tried to take photos of the moon-they don't come out.It was that windy though and we have a lot of palm trees.Last night it sounded like the ocean was right outside my door.It felt fantastic outside for a few min.Enjoy your day. Denise

Denise - how lovely to see you over here today. You are right, it's the goodness that's inside our granddaughters that is really important. I'm glad in a way that you didn't actually take that photo of the moon!! I also have tried, but without much success. I will try after Christmas and see what results I get with my new camera.

They grow so fast don't they, my first born grandson Blain will be 6yrs old on the 12th and it feels like only yesterday he was born, one day I worry he will out grow his nanny.......now I feel sad thinking about it bugga........

I do love the photos you have shared with us she has grown into a beautiful young lady, I remember when I had nice shapely legs like hers......

Eleanor did arrive looking older than she was, she looks absolutely adorable in her baby photos. She doesn't look like a newborn! What a lovely girl; it was nice seeing how she has grown through the pics. Happy Birthday to Eleanor!

Bouncin' Barb said...

She is a beauty! And the apple of Grandma's eye too. She hasn't changed a bit since she was a baby either. Beautiful pictures and thanks for sharing them with us. Happy Birthday to your darling girl! Hugs!

My apologies for yet another intrusion. I just thought you ought to know that, whilst you and I have been getting our beauty sleep, Shady has been cogitating again. He apparently now envisages a brand new wrestling idea. Vanilla pudding, of all things! Also, TDT & TDD have apparently eloped! I received a calling card from the former informing all three of us. The shenanigans occurring in Blog Land of late are becoming more and more bizarre and the fault appears to lie squarely on the shoulders of our absent friend, 50 Something, whose Book Launch Party triggered all manner of silliness. I think The Real Mrs Grundy may have been right about that Mini Skirt Contest. I do hope everyone arrives with their best going-out manners at her soon to be held Christmas Party! Wishing you a Marvellous Monday, Diane! We have woken up to a fine day here at the tip of Africa. Big hug xoxo

I won't leave a facetious comment today or a witty one because this is a wonderful post - she is very lucky to have so much love in her life and you are justifiably proud of an extremely lovely young lady.
Happy Birthday to Eleanor!

Jo-Anne Rambling - they grow away far too quickly for my liking, and I know what you mean about them being too old for their grandmas (nana's). I keep thinking that about my dear 14 year old granddaughter, but she suggested that we both went on holiday together next year, which I was thrilled about! Soon boyfriends will start to appear, and grandma won't get a look in! LOL!!

Belle - hallo dear friend. Thank you for your lovely comments. Eleanor didn't look like a new born because of all that hair. She had it in bunches by the time she was six months old!! Poor little Ruby is almost 2 and still hasn't got that much, but hers is going to be curly, and there's the difference.

Bouncin'Barb - good to see you my awesome friend! Yes, she certainly is the apple of grandma's eye, as, of course, are your two beautiful girls, Destini and Kali :) Hugs to you.

Stella - thank you so much for coming across to leave your comment. It's always lovely to see you here.

Marsha@Spotsand Wrinkles - Thank you so much! (I love the name of your blog by the way!). I agree, Eleanor is a lovely name. Fancy it being your mum's name as well. It is a very old name, I believe. Sending you warmest Christmas wishes to you and your family as well.

chambanachik - thank you so much!!

Desiree - Eeek! you're here again my friend. It would seem that we've seen the end of those usurpers, TDD and TDT. (I told Shady that there are far too many T's here. It is totally confusing for an old, confused woman!!!). I have left a comment over at Shady's place, but I have ignored the request about the vanilla puddings. I did say that we should be acting with some decorum at our age!!! I totally agree with you that this is all that Carol's fault. Ever since her party, people seem to think that they can behave outrageously, and it just isn't on!! Blimey, I'll be worse that that Mrs Grundy at this rate!! Very cold over here today. It's a bit of a shock to the system! Hugs to you.

Facing50 - Eeek! I just published my comment, and you popped up! How wonderful of you to grace my humble little blog today my leetle friend. Aaaw, I'm missing your wittiness at the moment!! Take care.
