Hi there all my little bloggy friends.  Hopefully all is well with you in your little corner of the world.

I'm feeling pretty excited at the moment, because this afternoon my daughter and granddaughter will be arriving from France, and staying until the 2nd March. Yay! It will be so good to see them again.  They always make me feel brighter when they're here.

After three weeks of messing around with my current Internet Provider, I have now changed to another one, but it will still be another two weeks before I am up and running again.  Anyway, onwards and upwards!

I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to all those of you who are still taking the time to come over to see me and leave a comment, even though I have not been able to leave so many comments on your blogs as usual - your friendship really is appreciated.

Best Friends

I missed going to see the film "The Help" when it first came out at the end of last year, as I was in the middle of reading the book for our monthly Book Club read.  Anyway, it has been showing in our local cinema for two days only, so my friend and I went to see it last evening.  All I can say, is "brilliant".  I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Sending big hugs your way.

What a wonderful blessing to have daughter and family come and stay for a visit. I'm so excited for you. As you know I miss mine so much. It doesn't look like a visit is forth coming in the near future darn!
So do please enjoy for me as well.
I know you will!
Love all the little saying you have posted.
Yes! The Help was excellent. I had to buy the DVD it was so good.
So glad to hear you will be up and running soon.
It is so hard when our providers don't meet our needs.
Many blessings

I have been having issues with leaving comments on several blogs, but have been visiting you, Diane. I was planning to send you a quickie email today, but seeing your latest post has obviated this need for now. Just so good to hear from you and know that things are looking up and now you'll have two of your most favourite people in all the world keeping you company. I hope that rash has cleared by now? Big, big hug! Enjoy every moment of your time together and forget about us, please! We'll be here to welcome you back warm heartedly when you're just Derby & Joan again, OK? xxx

Dear Thisisme,

I feel like it's been too long since I've stopped by and taken in your beautiful flowers - the ones currently in your header are stunning - I found myself leaning in and wanting to inhale deeply. Such beauty!

I'm thrilled for you and the two lovelies that are visiting you; I wish all of you the best of times. Enjoy and make some wonderful memories.

Think of you and sending you all Happy Thoughts!

how wonderful to have your family visit and I am glad you are finally getting your internet fixed.
So frustrating when you are used to doing so much online

I am so glad your internet woes will soon be coming to an end. What a wonderful visit you will be having with your daughter and grandaughter, and I'm sure they are just as excited about it as you are!

Loved all your quotes, and The Help was truly amazing to me, both the book and the movie. I was gone most of last week and so it is good to pop in here and say, have a wonderful day, my friend!

Hello, dear Thisisme! I didn't realize that the Parisian contingent was on its way to see you again. I hope it includes your dear grand-dog Alfred. When he arrives please give him a pat and a biscuit for me (right after his potty break). I very much agree with the wisdom dispensed by Mark Twain. Small people try to make you feel small. Great ones lift you up and get you in touch with your own greatness. Young people, in fact all people, should be careful of the company they keep. You've been doing an excellent job of staying in touch and working through your internet difficulties. I hope the worst is over. If we're ever out of touch with each other we will keep the faith that our friendship is still there as sure as the stars above. I'm so glad to know you watched The Help and enjoyed it. For those who aren't aware of it, Bryce Dallas Howard, the actress who played the small minded, chocolate pie eating Hilly, is the daughter of director Ron Howard. Bryce gave birth to a baby girl a month ago. Have a wonderful visit with your loved ones today, dear Thisisme!

Still can't understand how you could have so much trouble, with an internet provider. -sigh-

Best of luck.

SOOO good to read your post. Having your granddaughter and daughter there for a visit will really make life great for you. Enjoy and treasure your time together.

I loved reading "The Help" and enjoyed the movie. It was well done. I just always wish that movies captured more of the book.

Here's to hoping the new internet provider works better for you. You have been more patient that I would have been through this time of having no service.

Please know my experience in the deep South in the 60's was nothing like "The Help" although I liked the book-all maids I knew were treated very well. I have been missing you and glad you are getting it sorted out, olive.

The girls photos are simply beautiful. You will have a wonderful time when they come to visit. Is Alfred coming too? So glad to see you today. I love your Mark Twain quote!!! I know that is so true...positive re-inforcement is what we all need most of the time. There's positive in all of us, although, sometimes I've had to drag it out of a friend! Love your post...hope you're arms are calm for now. Take care, hugs to you my friend.♥ Oh, and a dear heart too!

Loved the pictures!

And I did not know that the phrase "hang out" was in use when Mark Twain was writing. So I learned something! :)

Have a fun-filled visit with your daughter and granddaughter.

I have not been to see it or read the book yet. I get so angry about racial issues. But I've heard nothing but fantastic things about both! Hope you are enjoying your visitors to the fullest!
