And now my two favourite, black & white tearjerkers, which are about as romantic as you can get!

Hallo, dear Thisisme, and happy February to you! I look forward to your salute to love and romance leading up to V-Day. When you revealed your favorite tearjerkers I was reminded of Scottish actress Deborah Kerr's 1957 film with Cary Grant entitled An Affair to Remember. The movie had everybody weeping and it's the ultimate in screen romance pictures, IMO. Of course there's also An Office and a Gentleman. Although Debra Winger and Richard Gere reportedly hated working together, they made their love story believable. That, in turn, reminds me of the 1970 movie Love Story starring Ally MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal, another romantic tearjerker. A romantic film that I enjoyed about a year ago was the Amanda Seyfried vehicle Letters to Juliet. Happy Wednesday to you, dear friend Thisisme!

Dear Thisisme, this is a wonderful list. My absolute favorite is Shakespeare in Love. I could watch it over and over but I'm afraid to wear it out.

I love your list, too :) My favorite is The English Patient. You've had a lot of fun putting this together and getting your blog to sport the romantic theme for February. Well done :)

First I am in love already with your beautiful background. I really need to learn how to do that. As for the movies, you have some of my favorites listed. Ghost was what hubby and I saw on our second date. I squirmed through that pottery scene. I know because he told me later. Can you believe I've never seen that version of Titanic? Only saw the original. Happy February to you!

I adore "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and have seen it probably six times. "The English Patient" nearly did me in but was lovely and I just read the book. There are many more but I am not awake yet and have coffee to consume......

Hi there! Your entire blog template and header is just lovely! Sure makes me feel all "Valentiney" inside!
I also love An Affair to Remember. And oh....here's a B&W tearjerker....My Foolish Heart, with Dana Andrews and Susan Hayward. Get those tissues out! Oh, and The Best Years of our Lives! Three different love stories in one movie!! Okay, I'll quit now! Have a beautiful day!

Dear Diane,
What a lovely and loving post. I love the new look of your blog ^_^ Happy February to you, it's amazing how quick the days pass by, the Spring is inching closer by the day. Even if it's cold out, it's getting brighter each day. I love your list of movies!

Have a fantastic evening my friend!
Big hugs

OMG my friend, I had seen a few of them but most of them I had never even heard of. Guess I need to do some catching up if they are still available.
So far you are doing a super job of getting the romantic mood set so I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.
Have a wonderful rest of the week. I go in for carpel tunnel surgery on my right hand in the morning so that may slow me up a tab bit.
Hugs,
Odie

What a sweet header to put us all in the mood. Now I have to hunt up all those movies and maybe have a girls night in with some romantic tear jerkers.

The only movie on your list I haven't seen is Camille. I loved all of these movies. I watched Now Voyager with my husband this year and he had never seen it. He thought it was fantastic. I like the movies Shady added, but I think my favorite romantic movie is 'Notorious' with Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman.

This is a great idea to have love and romance until Valentine's Day!

Love the new header, but you should've left your eldest granddaughter up there - she looks gorgeous in her red dress. :)

Funny thing about Valentine's Day and the whole month of romance. We don't celebrate it. We figure any/every day is a good day to say "I love you" or surprise someone with flowers, candy or heart shaped trinket [or pizza - yes, we did that] so we don't need a specific day/month to do so. It works out well - and we like it so much better.

Although it won't stop me from getting a heart shaped doughnut from our local shop. They only come out once a year. So yummy!

Dearest Diane,
Wow, I LOVE your Valentine header♡♡♡ We can survive in this trying world with LOVE, can't we!!! What a sweet post, my dear friend.
Well, except a couple of ones, I've seen these movies and the one most impressive was the Casablanca♬♬♬ I fell in love with "Bogie" when young. I must say you and I have the same wonderful and sweet tastes.

PS> I've just visited Belle's post and found that we have been married same years. It has been 35 years this Sep. for us as well(*^_^*) Happy coincidences!

Blessing to you, xoxo Miyako*

Hi my friend here I am at last catching up with your blogging, at least I was able to stay in touch a little bit while we were away via FB. I have had a lovely browse through your posts, favourite has to be the one about appreciating what we have, aka a lovely husband.

Oooh it's gone all romantic and lovely over here! Love your Valentine header! There are some movies here I haven't seen. I really do love a good tear-jerker, but I also love romantic comedy, and 'Something's gotta Give' and 'It's Complicated'would be two of my faves.
Thankyou for your lovely words and hugs yesterday. All is forgotten, as there has been a party invitation issued for Saturday, and recognition from teacher for good work! The resilience of children!
Wishing you a lovely evening, love Linda x

I LOVE your header photo! You have really gotten us into the Valentine spirit. Great choice in movies. I think it would be fun to sit down and watch them all this month.

My personal favorite of all those films is Wuthering Heights. Oh the drama of the romance. So sad. A true tearjerker. Love your new pics on your header and your enthusiasm for Valentines Day. I have none of that any more. But that's ok my awesome friend! Hugs.
