Sunday Snaps!

Hi there all my little bloggy friends.  Forgive me if I haven't been around quite so much over this past week, but the weather has been so glorious here in Devon that I have been taking advantage of the hot sunny weather and spending lots of time outside, and I'm so glad that I did, because the temperature has dropped ten degrees again now.

This weather is almost unheard of here in England in MARCH! It has been absolutely glorious, and my Sunday Snaps this week record a walk I had with a friend during this past week.  We really couldn't believe just how blue the sea and the sky was.  I only took my little camera with me, and I have to apologize for a slight haze on the left hand side near the top.  It wasn't misty outside, but, obviously, my camera lens needs a little attention.  So here we set off on this delightful coastal walk, and you will notice the little thatched cottages which are so much a part of the scenery here in this beautiful part of Devon.

“Our memories of the ocean will linger on, long after our footprints in the sand are gone.”

“Don't grow up too quickly, lest you forget how much you love the beach.”
-- Michelle Held

Who does not love the sea? The beach is a place of healing and joy. The salt cleanses us and the sun embraces us in its warmth. The ocean heals the heart, mind, and soul.

I'll finish off my Sunday Snaps post today with a photo of a new little sign that I have bought for the house.  I just adore little signs like this and have them all over.

Have a lovely week out there.  I know that many of my friends are embarking on their first day of the A = Z Challenge today, and I've really enjoyed reading my first batch.  Good  luck everyone!

Hi Diane, first of all I love your Holy Week header photo. You live in one of the most beautiful spots on earth and I enjoyed the photos so much! The blue sea with thatched roof cottages is my kind of place. Thank you and have a blessed week.

Hi, Thisisme! You're on a weather winning streak, dear friend! I can hardly believe your luck. It seems as if you enjoyed more warm sunny days by the end of March than you experienced all of last year. I hope Emma's getting her share in France as well. These are wonderful pictures of your walking tour of Devon's coastline. I hope Desiree stops by for a look. It does my heart good to know that you're getting outside in the fresh air and sunshine. Have a wonderful week ahead, dear friend Thisisme, and be sure to enter my first ever blog giveaway today. The fix is on and you're a shoo-in to win!

As Cindy mentioned I also wanted to start and tell you that your header looks great.

As for your walk, it looks like you had a great time, and I can relate to your statement about the weather, same here in Germany!

The pictures are breathtaking. It is such a lovely part of the world to live. And the thatched roofs are too neat!

You already heard from me about the first pic' - heehee- but know I meant every word. :)

I sgree with the others. Your header is great. Very peaceful. But I may need to add GBs to my computer if they get any larger b/c it doesn't want to load it & your sidebars. Dang old computer. :)

I do hope the weather continues you to bless you. The sun sure does do a good job of picking the right people to share it's warmth & light, doesn't it? :D

Isn't this weather just glorious - we've had a couple of grey days in between but the sun is back today. Love your photos, such a lovely part of the country ... :0)

As always you receive an "A" for your wonderful header my dear. I am constantly amazed at the beauty of your web page from start to finish. There was no need to apologize for your camera sweetie since all the photos were awesome. You could publish post cards with those scenes making everyone want to be there too. Duncan did a fantastic job on the A-Z as he is the first one I've seen. Have a fabulous rest of your Sunday as it should be noon time there. Only 6 AM here. Hugs

Hi Diane, What a beautiful header photo :) really like it. Oh, these snaps are gorgeous, the sea and beach looks really inviting. Yep, you're right - there's something about the sea/beach - can sit there forever and just BE - feeling every trouble just wash away!
It has gotten slightly colder over here, but it's still very nice not having to wear the bulky winter clothes. Have a fantastic Sunday my friend! Big hugs to you x

Hi Thisisme! What beautiful photos. Great phone booth, and I love your new sign. Aren't signs great? I like to collect them too, but don't always have a spot in mind when I pick one up.

Your beach and cottage pics are fabulous...in my dreams! Have another beautiful week, my friend!

Simply lovely scenery. One day my daughter and I were out and we saw an open house sign, so we went in just to see the house and they had a phone booth just like the red one pictured in your blog. We thought it was amazing to see one in a home. Glad my blog brought you memories also. Happy Palm Sunday...Lu

You live in such a glorious place! I'm glad the weather has been so lovely. It is good to get out when it is nice. I love the thatched roofs. The only time I saw anything close to that here was a guy who grew grass on his roof and let his goat eat up there! Love and hugs to you, Diane.

You have reminded me why we should have retired to Devon and not on a windy hillside in Staffordshire. I wish I'd seen these photos before I agreed to moving here.
Fabuloous pictures of a lovely lady and I think your header is fantastic too.
My leetle friend I am back and so happy to be here again. Just look at what I have been missing out on.
