WHY?!

Why, whenever I go out, do I worry if I'm going to get a parking space?

Why do I think that the garden should look perfect all the tim e?

Why do I want to please everyone all of the time?

Why can't I say "no"?

Why do I always think that everyone else is better than me?

Why do I always think that I'm not very clever?

Why do I feel guilty if I sit down during the day to just read a book?

Why can't I have lovely, straight hair?

Why can't I be more patient?

Why can't I think of something more exciting to post about?!

Answers please, on a postcard, to .... (Hee Hee!)

Why, indeed, dear Thisisme? We all ask ourselves questions like these. When I awake each morning it takes only a couple of seconds before the same familiar doubts, fears and negative thoughts start running through my mind. We fill our days with "what if?" and "woulda, shoulda, coulda" Why do we do this to ourselves? Why? Why? Why? Please know this. People around the world ask themselves "Why can't I be more like Thisisme?" I'm one of them! Have a splendid day, dear friend!

I have, as I have grown older, somehow learned to embrace imperfection. It has made my life easier. I wish that for you my friend. Living in a tumble down house with a completely wonderful man helped a lot towards that end.

WHY did someone kidnap Diane? Who wrote this post? Bring her back right now!!!
Why..can't I be as handsome as Diane is cute. Why..can't I have a classy looking blog like Diane. Why..can't I take perfect photographs like Diane.
Maybe she had a lapse in memory and needs to be reminded. OK
Diane you are so "pretty, talented, smart, creative, compassionate and loved". Oh and I think your hair looks awesome just the way it is. Feel better, Sweet Thang?
Hugs,
Odie

Diane, now I'm convinced we are twins separated at birth and carted off to different parts of the world. I have every one of those worries except for wishing I ha curly hair versus straight. I suppose I would rather live with my insecurities though than be cocky and obnoxious. You are wonderful just the way you are.

Oh dear Thisisme, I have missed you so much! :) I haven't been coming around as usual, and this is the very first post I see! :( Sorry you are feeling this way - you are fabulous!! Always remember you are perfectly YOU - and it's YOU that I've missed! :)

Why indeed? I ask myself all those questions, too, except for the one about straight hair. Instead,I ask myself why I don't have cute curly hair! I am agreeing with everyone else that you are indeed fabulous, and you have a great blog! I love your photos.

Haha - I ask the same questions that you do! And I still don't know why either! sandie

Why do I not know where I put the postcards I found while looking for something else?

Why am I now worrying that our garden isn't perfect; I am not clever; I should be doing something productive (not reading or playing online); and upset that I have nothing to write about either?

Why did I read your post today??

Oh yeah, 'cause I like you! I like your blog! And it beats washing the windows that are begging to be cleaned. ;-)

Are you sure we weren't twins who were separated at birth? I can't answer these questions because I HAVE THE SAME QUESTIONS. Really, I am just like you. I can check off every questions and say, "This is me."

We all love you. I hope you are getting some answers on your health and are greatly improved by now. XX

Some questions don't have answers - it's enough to be self-aware enough to ask them. Take care.

I guess we all have thoughts like these. I am learning to say to myself, "I may not be able to do this, but I can do that." You have so many wonderful attributes - your kindness and thoughtfulness is one of them. Remember to give yourself the same kindness you would give to others, dear Diane.

I love Belle's response. I plan to use it from now on! Take care Diane. Be gentle with yourself, because you are loved and considered the best of the best. I know that my life has been enriched by your friendship and kindness...and I am not the only one!
