Sunday Snaps!

My dear bloggy friends,

Can you believe that another week has just whizzed by in the blink of an eye?! I'd love to tell you that we are now right bang in the middle of the warmest and pleasantest (is that such a word!!) sunshine that I have ever known, but, of course, I would be telling porky pies (lies), so I won't even say anything more about the weather, apart from the fact that my wellie boots have become permanently attached to my legs!

Well, here is my first Sunday Snap for you today.  It was taken when Eli and Ruby's mummy and daddy were enjoying their honeymoon in the Dominican Republic earlier this year.

When daughter number 2 saw this photo, she said "why is Eli wearing Ruby's pink   pyjamas?!".  I thought they were a bit small, but Eli assured us that they were his pyjamas.  Mmmm, should we be worried, do you think?!

This second photo was taken this week (facebook friends, please look away now, as you have already seen this one!) and I just think it is such a happy photo.  Even hubby is smiling!!  Apparently, I was looking really silly trying to hold a large golfing umbrella (which was almost as big as me) and trying to take the photo at the same time.

Actually, there is a very interesting story about this tank which I think, certainly, my American friends will be interested in, so I will probably tell you about that in a future post.

I'm delighted to say that I have booked a holiday at the end of October for Eleanor and I, and we are going to Puerto Mogan, which, apparently, is the prettiest resort in the Gran Canaria.  Can't wait!  The hotel looks gorgeous as well.  Hubby did blanch a bit when I showed him the brochure, but I just played on the sympathy bit, and said that I did deserve something a bit special this year.  Hee Hee! I can be a cunning little mynx when I want to.  Here is a photo of the Hotel and a view of the resort.

This last one is for Shady, as he has mentioned that he hasn't seen Alfred for some time now.  This was taken last year when the sun was shining!

I will finish  with an Apache Blessing for all my bloggy friends today, to thank you for your friendship and your love.

Hi Diane

Enjoyed your pictures, hope you have a great holiday. Know what you mean about the wellies, umbrellas and raincoats.

Sun is shining here this morning, but promise of rain later, so raincoat and umbrella must travel with me.

Hallo, dear Thisisme! Thank you for blessing us with another delightful edition of Sunday Snaps! Now I know why you are getting so much rain. It was sent to wash away your worries. I truly hope it has.

Dear friend, that picture of beautiful you and handsome Alfred is one of the finest you ever posted. It is suitable for framing. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face first thing this morning!

I share your excitement as you and Eleanor plan your holiday in Puerto Mogan, Gran Canaria. It's a dream getaway that will no doubt make Gawgus Things green with envy. The resort looks like paradise. I did some research of my own and found that Gran Canaria is nicknamed The Small Continent because of its extremely varied landscapes. In close proximity are mountains, deserts and tropical forests. It also boasts long, wide sandy beaches where you can enjoy the rare experience of lazing in the sun while gazing at snow capped mountain peaks. Best of all, Puerto Mogan offers year 'round sunshine, a fact that I'm sure did not escape you. I am overjoyed to find you happy, healthy and filled with giddy anticipation, dear friend Thisisme. Have a wonderful Sunday and a safe and serene week ahead!

A happy post to wake up to on this beautiful Sunday morning. It's beautiful because we woke up, didn't we? No matter what the weather. I won't even tell you what our weather is today - you may be envious. We could use a little of your rain though - just not that extreme! Have a wonderful day my friend!

Even if your weather isn't sull of sunchine, your post and pictures are! I had to laugh about Eli wearing Ruby's pajamas. That is something that will probably embarrass him later!

Your holiday with your grandaughter sounds like it is going to be heavenly!

And I will try to remember the next time I step outdoors into our rainless, scorching atmosphere that there are people who want that for a spell and I will try to be appreciative of it!

Anyway, your post today is full of delight♡♡♡ Lovely pictures and my favorite is mummy kissing Eli(♥˘◡˘♥) Of course, you look always fabulous with Alfred, my friend. And your smiling husband is really cool (sorry if this word is only for American people.)
I can guess how much you are looking forward to that trip to the heavenly place with your granddaughter♡♡♡
Take care of yourself and night, night from Japan!

It is so good to see you posting again. I won't comment on the weather, but I will say that you do always seem to find humor in things. This is a good trait.

Is it Monday at your house now? I have to start by saying that's the sweetest photo of you and Alfred...you're both adorable! We had some rain today, happily! And, I've seen on the news that you are still getting more rain than needed, but, they anticipate it will subside in time for the Olympics. They're really working hard to get ready for it-so exciting, and I love the opening ceremonies.

I did see the photo of your hubby and granddaughter on facebook, and, you're so right! What wonderful smiles and laughter! Your photos of the hotel for your trip are enchanting, you shall enjoy! This is a lovely and uplifting post...I saw sunshine here! Hugs to you Thisisme!♥

G'Day Diane, Eli looks great wearing Ruby's pink pj's. My son loves the colour pink. Boy or girl, blue or pink, it really doesn't matter, but peer pressure can be a horrid thing. We have apple juice poppers that come in pink packaging. My son asked me one day not to give him those one's for school because of the other kids. I can only imagine what the rougher boys would say. Sad hey. By the way, are you looking forward to the Olympics? Hope you have a good week. Blessings, Kerrie
