Sunday Snaps!

Happy Sunday to all my little bloggy friends!

I am delighted to say that we are now getting the second flush of roses in the garden, which is bringing a welcome touch of colour.  I took a couple of photos earlier in the week to share with you.

I have been making fresh tomato sauce like nobody's business over the past couple of weeks, and have plenty in the freezer to have in the Autumn/Winter, but, as you can see, there are still plenty of tomatoes left, so I think I will be freezing a lot more before they come to an end!

I came across these photos the other day.  Gosh, look at my huge specs, but I hasten to add that they were very fashionable at the time!!  I think I would have been about 44 and hubby 47, which would make the girls 20 and 13.  How time flies!

I went on holiday with the two girls once, to Crete (loved it!) and the local people just would not believe that they were both my daughters.  They kept saying that one was so fair, and the other so dark!!  But I assure you that they are both very much mine, and I love them dearly.

Here is a photo of the two sisters which was taken during that holiday in Crete.

I hope you all have a good week ahead.  See you again soon!

Oh how I wish I could travel the world. I dreamed last night that I was on a cruise ship...the wrong one, headed for Canada instead of Mexico. Your daughters are lovely.

I love the retro pictures of you and your beautiful family. What a dream to travel to Crete! I would love to visit it. Did you explore the Minoan ruins? I once studied the paintings for a class and wished I could see the island and the murals.

Your roses and tomatoes are spectacular!

Hallo, dear Thisisme! You continue to amaze me with frequent changes to your header collage. This new one is my favorite thus far. It looks like everything's coming up roses in your garden and your new greenhouse will surely be put to the test during the upcoming autumn and winter seasons. We're still hitting 90F or higher in my corner of the world. I am so happy to see these pictures of you and the girls taken at an earlier stage of life. I love each and every member of your family. Please have a wonderful Sunday, dear Thisisme, and a splendid week ahead. Cheers!

Your roses are gorgeous! My grandmother would have loved them! She had a lovely yard filled with flowers when she was still with us. I remember my mother and grandmother having those big specs back in the day too. And they were, indeed, quite in fashion! :)

I love the garden view with the fir trees in the background. Such a gorgeous sight! I know it keeps you busy...hope you can harvest all of your tomatoes, while you stop to smell the roses! See you soon, my friend!♥

Oh, I forgot to tell you, I FINALLY grabbed your blog button! I have tried a couple of times, but not in a while. You know how you get better as time goes on? LOL! Well, I was able to grab it today. I would like to have a blog button. I made my own last year, but don't like it. Will have to try again! Hugs!
