How Are You All? ....

Hallo little bloggy friends. First of all I must make an apology,as I haven't been visiting you for quite a while now. Truth is, I just haven't felt up to it since returning from my holiday in Gran Canaria.

Both my granddaughter and I returned home feeling quite poorly and have both been on antibiotics for the past week.  Myself for an ear infection, and Eleanor had tonsilitis.  If I'm honest, I'm still feeling pretty cheesed off and I don't have any motivation for very much at all.  You will know that this is not really like me, as I always try to be upbeat, but I just wanted to explain why I haven't been around very much lately.

My facebook friends will already know that the holiday itself was a washout, as we had heavy rain most days.  I think we had a day and a half where we could sit by the pool, so you can probably imagine that it was rather disappointing!  People who have been going there for fifteen years, said that they just never have rain at this particular time of year.

Anyway, enough of that - onwards and upwards!! I think I need a big hug from all of you - I'm sure that will raise my spirits!

I'm afraid that the camera didn't come out very often, but here are just a few snaps I managed to take when the sun was actually out!

I will now try to get my act together and start to pop over to see you, so that I see what you have been up to.  Oh!  On Sunday, I have a new feature, which I will run for a few weeks.

Sending blessings your way.

Thisisme, I never stopped thinking about you all this time, I assure you. I sensed that something wasn't right but was afraid to pry. It's doubly bad news that your holiday was a washout and that you both came home feeling "under the weather." I can't tell you how sorry I am on both counts. I never heard of such bad luck before! The pictures you took reveal a vacationers paradise and I so wish it would have turned out that way for you. Please focus only on getting well. That's our main concern. "Onward and upward" indeed, my dear friend!

Virtual hugs coming your way, I know we have been in touch via other methods but I was wondering if you had decided to take an extended blogging break.

Oh, sweet friend, I hope you will be feeling in top form very soon.

You know, it seems rain accompanies you, and that is not a bad thing here in Texas where we've had drought for so long. In fact, I'm sure those in the agriculture dept. could arrange an all expense paid trip here for a portion of your rain!

I'm sure, though, like anything else, it's no fun when there's too much of it. Eleanor is beautiful- and we know she gets it from her grandma!

I am so sorry about that dratted rain for days and days.

Hope you and Eleanor had some good chats and laughs despite the awful weather.

Hope you will soon be feeling well.

Oh Thisisme! You do need a hug! What a disappointment...the rain just seems to be a your back door frequently, no matter where you go. Well, you're giving it your all-you made a showing with some beautiful pictures! So, it wasn't a total loss. Hugs from Texas, USA! I know you will be UPWARD soon!♥

So glad that at least you had one day of sunshine. Just try to remember that one day - and that sweet smile on your granddaughter's face as she lounges by the pool. She seems to be a good sport about it all. Hugs to you and hope you will be feeling back to normal soon!

It is annoying when a holiday is planned, looked forward too and then disappoints...but your photos belie this and really give off a wonderful vibe.

Hopefully you can extract the good, leave the bad at the curb and know that you are being tightly hugged.

This too shall pass...I know, sounds corny, but, it is true.
Onward, Upward, ever Forward,
Jenny

You sound like you could use one big hug...after another. Here's one from me! How terribly disappointing to make a big investment of time, effort and $$$ for a holiday and then have it go bust. And to get sick to boot!!! Hoping you are right as rain (haha...poor choice of words) before too long and back to your smiley self.
Blessings,
Rosemary

That's a shame about your wet holiday and it's aftermath. There's just no predicting what the weather will do - it's been so temperamental lately everywhere.

Your granddaughter is beautiful. You have such a lovely relationship with her. You even get sick together! Hope you're both properly on the mend now and you're back to normal in no time.

Looking forward to your new Sunday feature.

First- here's a great big hug for you---{{{{{{GREATBIGHIG}}}}}. Second, I'm so sorry the rain followed you on vacation. But I'm glad you got at least a couple of days filled with sunshine! And that you had time with your lovely granddaughter!

I'm so, so sorry that you had such a dreary vacation. That just breaks my heart. I love seeing those photos of those precious few moments in the sun.

It is like adding insult to injury to have you come home from the vacation sick!

I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Sending warm (sunny even) greetings your way. XX
