Update on Kelly....

Hallo my friends. You were all so supportive with your prayers for Kelly, that I thought I would give you an update.

The disease has spread to the bones of her pelvis, spine and chest. She will be starting a mild form of chemo within the next two weeks and the view is that if the chemo works to reduce the tumours everywhere else, then it will zap those ones too. View of life expectancy is now months, rather than weeks, as previously thought.  Dear of her, she is still so positive and enjoying life to the full.  Her workmates held a fundraising event for her last evening and raised £3, 000. Kelly and her husband are going to take their little girl to EuroDisney.  My daughter took the following photo when they were down in Cornwall on Monday for the brought forward hen night.

Kelly is the third from the right.  Doesn't she look fabulous?  It's all so surreal, really.

My dear friends, may I please ask you to continue to hold Kelly in your prayers.  You never know, that miracle just might happen.

I won't have any Sunday Snaps tomorrow, but I wish you all a very happy St Patrick's Day.  It's not something we  celebrate very much here in England - unless you're Irish of course!!

I will see you again soon.  Take care until then.

We celebrated the 18th birthday of a young Bahamian man tonight. He is so sweet and didn't expect to have ANY notice of his special day. All the cruisers put on a pot-luck dinner in his honour and showered him with love. Such a simple thing, but it has great meaning to those who receive it.

Blessings on Kelly. She does look gorgeous! May the months ahead be as pain-free as possible, memory-making for Kelly's little girl and a peaceful goodbye near the very end.

I do believe in miracles. My friend had brain cancer 25 years ago and she has made medical histoy, as all others with her type of cancer have survived mere months.
Blessings to Kelly and prayers expressed.

I'm getting here late due to family obligations, dear Thisisme. I am convinced that if Kelly can turn weeks into months she can turn months into years. She can do it by continuing to enjoy life to the fullest, staying too busy and having too much fun to give in to the disease. I will continue to pray for her. God bless!

Lovely to be here and to meet your sweet friend Kelly, how very sad for her. I don't like Chemo. I feel that if it was me with cancer I would go with the Vitamin C, I.V.therapy. This is not advocated by doctors, they are always so slow to advocate something new especially when the drug companies don't push it as a money maker. Perhaps Kelly would consider it, you could look up who does it in your vicinity.
This is what I wrote about this on my Health Blog. Blessings sent. Sr Crystal Mary, Registered Nurse.
