The Magic Of Italy ......

Ciao, amica mia!
Italian

Venice...

Hallo again my friends.  Lovely to be visiting with you once again.  Blogging, really, is just like having penfriends all over the world, which is rather wonderful.  I love writing, and I used to really enjoy writing letters to friends and to receive one from them in the post.  Sadly, that art has almost died out now, with all this modern technology, which is rather a shame in a way.

Most of my 'older' Followers know just how much I adore Italy, and Venice in particular.  The following popped up on my facebook page - gosh, how I would love to go on that trip and see Venice behind the scenes!

I hope you don't mind today if I share some beautiful images of Italy with you.  I have been there quite a few times and visited Tuscany, San Gimignano, watched the magic of the opera at Verona in the ancient amphitheatre, Rome, Florence, Lake Garda, and Sicily (which is absolutely beautiful).  I would love to visit Lake Como (where George Clooney has a home!) or Lake Maggiore.

I hope that I have given you a flavour of this beautiful country.  I love the romance of the Italian language, their food, and, oh, Italian men are quite dishy too!

My daughter's dream is to go to Italy. I shall give her a virtual tour via your blog post. Thank you. My grandfather came from Italy, so this was a treat for me as well.

Hallo, dear Thisisme! Why settle for those dull, drab Italian men when you could have Shadykins? (LOL)

Venice is breathtaking in its beauty and charm and a holiday in that enchanted paradise is high on my bucket list. I especially like the idea posed by the Titan Tours advert - that of venturing off the beaten path and seeing the real Venice rather than the tourist version. It's exciting to know that Titan offers a worldwide brochure. I plan to obtain one and show it to Mrs Shady because we both love to explore and mix with the locals in our travels.

Just yesterday my blog friend in Italy posted pictures of her recent stay in Stresa, a beautiful spot steeped in history located on the shores of Lago Maggiore. I'm sure you would enjoy the scenery and the architecture there.

What a marvelous header, Thisisme! I wish our friend Desiree was here to appreciate it. I surely did.

Thank you for a wonderful post, dear friend, and enjoy the rest of your week!

A fabulous post , and as you know I adore Italy too. George Clooney's Italian home was in Laglio ,not sure if he still has it or not. We stayed at Lake Como for 10days a few years ago , and were pretty close to it . Every view we had from our rented apartment looked over the lake , it was fantastic, I must go back to Italy soon. xo

Oooooo, Diane, You gave me shivers. I love Italy more than any other country I have visited. I've been there 4 or 5 times (can't remember) and had the best time always. yes, the food, the scenery, the history, the crazy, exciting people! My dream is to live in Rome on the Piazza Nuevo for 6 months minimum, work in a gellato shop and write a novel. hmmmmmm.............

Hi Thisisme. I'm sorry to be running late, we had to replace the modem for our computers. I've had off and on computer problems all week. We finally got a new modem, and I seem to be up and running.

This is beautiful...love your Venice photos. And the balconies with the florals are outstandng-such gorgeous color! Hope you are doing well. I saw your fig chutney recipe on facebook. My parents used to make mango chutney, and, we kids loved it!

Have a great week-see you soon! Hugs to a fun pen-friend! ♥
