He's such a handful, and hubby Karo has been sick with a horrible cold and cough.

What a wonderful post...how did you remember all that info to relay to us? Love the Ruby cats, and she's such a doll, little girls love to ballet!

And, you should be ashamed to have so many beautiful daffodils! I had cut a few of ours, and, they actually have a fragrance. Little Shawn wanted to smell them, and they smell rather nice.

I wish the best for your daughter's friend Kelly. I just cannot imagine being in her position with children, and trying to keep a positive attitude. I'm trying to be stronger for others too! They need our strength to keep theirs up.

Love your photo...you do good work! And, Alfred is looking good! See you again tomorrow!♥ Suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12383039383765299104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-884235015796031442.post-89290411173805820472013-02-20T19:23:34.245+00:002013-02-20T19:23:34.245+00:00That wasn't a ramble, that a lovely meander.

No one should have such a malady and worries, and especially not little ones or the parents of little ones.

I am definitely happy to see the days getting longer. He is doing very well fighting cancer.

I'm happy for your friend Sue. I've been to Orlando and Kennedy Space Center - wonderful places to see!

Oh how I wish we had daffodils right now. There is still a little snow on the ground and lots in the mountains around us. Daffodils make me sneeze, but I love them.

I love hearing about Ruby and Eli. I'm so glad she likes her dance class and Eli likes martial arts. Shady is right, these kinds of activities are important for children. Stunning. I could never do it justice with words, but for a simple farm girl she could cultivate and grow roses like no one I have met then or now.
When she was alive she would never cut them to bring them in the house to enjoy. She wasn't one for frivolity or non purposeful adornment in the home. She was a farmer and rose grew outside and that is where they stayed.
Still? I KNEW she wanted some in the house. She wanted to bring the beauty that she tended so well inside by here, but she wouldn't do it.
When she succumbed to Alzheimers in her late 60s and I was taking care of her I would cut a few roses and put them on the table for her. She didn't argue because she had forgotten that she didn't bring roses inside. Diane the delight on my Grandmother's face to see those flowers perched next to her chair still shines in my memory as one of the best ever. It was tho' Christmas came early everytime I brought one or two inside. I was damned if I was going to wait and put roses on her casket when she passed like everyone was planning. Why? She couldn't see those AND she didn't grow them.
So the whole point of this story is - who cares what others think about YOU picking YOUR flowers. Life is short - pick 'em and enjoy - they'll be back next year, as well you will be too. Proven fact that fresh flowers INSIDE the home makes people happier. Happier people live longer and blah, blah, blah.
Pick the POSIES! ::grinning:: Long live the daffodils [in a vase in your home].
You're the best, my friend. The stories of your grandkids always bring a smile to my face.
Please know we are saying our prayers too. She will beat it.
Love to whole gang over there. Enjoy your Monday. I was planning to mention Kelly in my comment today because she, her family, Emma and you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. If Kelly maintains a positive attitude and a determination to survive, then half the battle is already won.

Sue Lavender got married just down the road from Shady. I could have tossed a handful of rice out my window and I'm sure some of it would have landed on the happy couple.

The first flowers of spring always lift our spirits and your daffodils are lovely! I hope the English weather takes the hint.

I am delighted to see this new picture of Ruby Violet with glee written on her face. It's good to know she is involved in dance and that Eli is taking part in a martial arts program. Activities like these help children to build strength and confidence and develop social skills. Eleanor has seen some of the most beautiful spots on earth. It will do her good to participate in charitable work in India. She has a good heart and I can see her involved in philanthropic causes the rest of her life. My old buddy Alfred looks much happier in this picture than he did standing outside shivering in the snow and ice. Thank you for posting a pic of my favorite blog dog!

I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday, dear friend Thisisme, and that you will enjoy a safe and happy week ahead!Shady Del Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03839935472941264414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-884235015796031442.post-73060980766878908352013-02-17T13:42:58.397+00:002013-02-17T13:42:58.397+00:00Diane, you have a full life...so much going on.
