As you lovely grandchildren growing up, here must be some feeling of wishing them cute and little foreever♡♡♡ But happy that you have yor own interest♬♬♬
Oh, I got the January blues: most of it from the flu and because of that I hadn't seen my father at the care-center. Finally have a new laptop and am able to read without squinting at the iPhone and visit all the lovely blogs in our blogland!
I am sure it is a bit of a tug at the heartstrings to cut those apron strings. But you are so right those moments fly by and we must let them grow their wings. I've been wanting to take a water color class myself. I've a few almost Paint By Numbers sets I purchased and am feeling almost brave enough to attempt a class. I hope your January Blues go away soon, and the sun comes out. We've had dreary weather here now for over a week, and it doesn't help if you're already sick.

Pardon me for being so late. All things are possible. I also have a serious mood change when things are dreary and the light is weak. It would almost be better if it were pitch black night with glowing candle light or strings of Christmas lights. I kept up one strand in the house and turn them on every night before dinner. Wow, Ruby Violet will have long days at school. I bet that leaves you a little bit bereft. I know that feeling and don't like it at all. I often think of adopting new children after the young ones grow up. Richard doesn't think we'll be doing that but I'm totally open to the idea!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16456360103620523621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-884235015796031442.post-38679334946837279142013-01-09T07:39:26.385+00:002013-01-09T07:39:26.385+00:00Hi Diane,

I can't imagine having January blues like that. When we lived in Utah, we had such dreary, cold, bad air quality winters that I would get so depressed. My two oldest children live there now and they are really dealing with breathing issues due to the air quality, smog, and cold weather. I just hate to see you all that have those conditions suffer so.

I am glad you have that time with your daughter and the children. You are so fortunate there.

We are starting up a Pilates class. I am also working on a presentation for a professional organization. Then, next week, the best excitement for me is that I will start a photography class. Hubby is actually going to take the class with me. I am really looking forward to it.
Sally Wesselyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06470453773515491625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-884235015796031442.post-72340019984247765672013-01-09T01:18:46.322+00:002013-01-09T01:18:46.322+00:00Hugs back to you, Diane. This too will pass, and we will have the sun again before long. If you are still in the dark, I am sending some Florida sunshine your way, even though it has been raining here for the past four days. You know when you spend time with your eldest grandaughter, what I am trying to say :-)

So long as you do a class , water colours , italian .. you will be fine. Change is always difficult for me and there have been quite a few. I do echo what you say to young mothers, I am always saying it also, time passes so quickly. It is good to not get caught up too much on the computer, I am trying to do the same. BTW, blogger is not letting me post photos from my computer. I said yesterday I was going to check Facebook only twice a day, I mostly want to keep up with family on there. A class would be a wonderful thing for you, A watercolor class would be great and you could show and tell us all about it ... oops, there goes more time on the computer. :-) There is a bittersweet sadness when our children and grandchildren seem to grow up too fast and seem to need us less. My grandson called me the other day for the first time and it blew me away to hear his voice and know he made the call by himself. In Florida it happens when we're trapped indoors during all the unbearably hot summer months. I hope your weather soon begins to cooperate because dreary days always bring us down. I know you miss the old days and do not look forward to changes within the family but it is inevitable. As you reminded us we must all make the most of every minute. At least you still have Ruby Tuesdays. If you find time heavy on your hands you can always write to dear old Shady because I love to hear from you.
