Just For The Birds

I am very fortunate to have plenty of wildlife here in my garden in heavenly Devon, and I try to capture photos whenever I can. The woodpecker is the most difficult one to capture with the camera, because he is off at the slightest movement or noise. I shall have to sit myself on a chair and learn to be patient - and very quiet! I did manage to take this one shot, although the quality isn't really very good.

There is a quotation that says "you are nearer to God in a garden, than anywhere else on earth".

I'm also over on Pinterest, where I have a Board entitled Bird Houses. I have picked out a few of the prettiest ones to show here, and I do hope you will enjoy looking at them.

See you again next time round.

This next one would look delightful hanging beside my little caravan!

Hello Diane. A very cheery post on what is a dismal day (here anyway). So many Bird Houses to see. Love the colours and the "caravan".

Birds can be difficult to photograph , as you say especially the Woodpecker. Keep going , you will get there. Take Care Anne

Love these! I've been trying to capture pretty shots of birds over the years. Some have turned out well, but most of them are fuzzy because as soon as the bird hears the "click" of the camera, he's off and flying.
Such sweet birdhouses!

Hi Anne. Oh yes, such a dark, dreary day here in Devon as well. We've had about a week of it now. I like nag for some brightness! Yes, I will keep trying to get that special shot of the birds! You take such lovely photos, that it's always nice when you like mine!! Thank you .

Hi Glenda. A pleasure to see you here today! You're right, the click of the camera can make them fly away so quickly. I shall carry on persevering! I'll have to try to use my larger zoom lens, so that I can be further away, and try to trick them!

So lovely! I do indeed feel so connected to the spirit when I'm out in nature. Capturing photos of birds is very challenging!

Hi Jenny. I know that you and your family love to be outside. It does something for the soul, doesn't it? Thank you for coming over to see me.

I love watching the birds who visit my garden feeders. However rarely able to get a camera/phone quick enough, (let alone click it) to take pictures.

Hi Nita I thought I had replied to your comment yesterday! Lovely to see you over here. I usually always have my iPhone on me, so that I am always ready for a photo opportunity!
