This is probably the dark side of thisisme as well! It gave me a smile to start the week off with, and I hope it will do the same for you.
The Dark Side Of Women...
A woman was in town on a shopping trip. She began her day finding the most perfect shoes in the first shop and a beautiful dress on sale in the second. In the third, everything had just been reduced by 50 percent, when her mobile phone rang.
It was a female doctor notifying her that her husband had just been in a terrible car accident and was in critical condition and in the ICU.
The woman told the doctor to inform her husband where she was and that she'd be there as soon as possible. As she hung up she realized she was leaving what was shaping up to be her best day ever in the boutiques... She decided to get in a couple of more shops before heading to the hospital.
She ended up shopping the rest of the morning, finishing her trip with a cup of coffee and a beautiful chocolate cake slice, compliments of the last shop.
She was jubilant.
Then she remembered her husband. Feeling guilty, she dashed to the hospital.
She saw the doctor in the corridor and asked about her husband's condition. The lady doctor glared at her and shouted, "You went ahead and finished your shopping trip didn't you! I hope you're proud of yourself!
While you were out for the past four hours enjoying yourself in town, your husband has been languishing in the Intensive Care Unit! It's just as well you went ahead and finished, because it will more than likely be the last shopping trip you ever take! For the rest of his life he will require round-the-clock care. And he will now be your new career!"
The woman was feeling so guilty she broke down and sobbed.
The lady doctor then chuckled and said, "I'm just pulling your leg.
He's dead. Now show me what you bought!"
Have a good week y'all!

The Dark Side Of Women!
Thursday 23 February 2012
After three weeks of messing around with my current Internet Provider, I have now changed to another one, but it will still be another two weeks before I am up and running again. Anyway, onwards and upwards!
I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to all those of you who are still taking the time to come over to see me and leave a comment, even though I have not been able to leave so many comments on your blogs as usual - your friendship really is appreciated.
Images courtesy of Pinterest.
I missed going to see the film "The Help" when it first came out at the end of last year, as I was in the middle of reading the book for our monthly Book Club read. Anyway, it has been showing in our local cinema for two days only, so my friend and I went to see it last evening. All I can say, is "brilliant". I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Sunday Snaps
Well, despite all my talk of positivity at the beginning of the year, I'm finding it hard to keep it going, if I'm honest.
Without whining on, the old skin problems are pretty bad at the moment, and, of course, I'm still without any Internet connection.
I feel that I'm missing out on all you've been getting up to, and I'm only sorry that I can't visit you as much as you know I want to!
I have taken a couple of photos with my mobile phone this week, so I am still able to post my Sunday Snaps.
This one is of Eli and Ruby when we were out for a walk in the week.
As you can see, they decided to paint themselves whilst doing some creative art work! Ruby looks as if she's in her own little dream world.
Have a good week everyone.

Happy Valentines Day Little Bloggies!

Sunday Snaps
Happy Sunday everyone! Something different for my Sunday Snaps today, as I am still unable to use my laptop (Grrrrrr and Eeeek!!), so I cannot actually access any photos.
BUT, this gives me an excuse to stay on the 'love' theme! For all you non-romantics out there, bear with me, as there are only a couple more days to go- then I will be back to normal!!
By now, most of my Followers will know that hubby isn't very outwardly romantic, but he has always sent Valentines Cards to our daughters since they were quite young, and he continues to do so now, even though they are married! He also sends cards to our two granddaughters. All together now - Aaaaah!!
My Sunday Snap this week is actually an oil painting by Frank Bernard Dicksee (who, I confess, I have never heard of). It was painted in 1884 and, apparently, it remains popular because we all still crave 'passion and faithfulness'.
The painting is of a stolen kiss between the most famous star-crossed lovers of them all, and it has been voted the most romantic artwork in Britain.
I absolutely love it! It shows the Shakespearean couple sharing a kiss after their wedding night, not realising it will be their last. Oh, the tragedy of it all!!
For those of you who are interested, Rodin's The Kiss was the runner-up.
I hope my lovely bloggy friends have a week filled with love and hugs. Dont forget, I have been talking of romantic love, but other things are just as important, such as faithfulness and constancy, being there for us, in sickness and in health, to name but a few.

Vintage Valentine Cards
Hallo little bloggies . Well, I'm still without an Internet connection and have to admit that I'm missing all my little bloggy friends very much!
I'm having a go at typing this post on my iPhone, so goodness knows how it will all turn out.
As we get closer to Valentines Day, I thought you might like to take a peep at some vintage Valentine cards, all of which I came across on Pinterest.
I'll try to visit you if I can, but it is so slow using my phone! Anyway, I hope you're all being good in my absence!
Sending hugs your way.

With Love From Me To You....
I would just like to add a little something to this post , and that is to let you know that I have been without an Internet connection on my laptop since Sunday afternoon, which means that I'm not able to come along and visit your blogs or leave comments :(
I have tried blogging with my iPhone, but it just takes so long!I do hope that normal service will be resumed as soon as possible. Take care my little bloggies.

I love you so deeply,
I love you so much,
I love the sound of your voice
And the way that we touch.
I love your warm smile
And your kind, thoughtful way,
The joy that you bring
To my life every day.
I love you today
As I have from the start,
And I'll love you forever
With all of my heart.
For smiling once again,
You've filled my life with peaceful dreams
and you've become my closest friend.
You've shared your heartfelt secrets
And your trust you've given me,
You showed me how to feel again
To laugh, and love, and see.
If life should end tomorrow
And from this world I part,
I know I shall be forever young
For you have touched my heart.
