Just Had To Share This Post With You

Isn't this a gorgeous Buddha!  My friend Duncan takes some wonderful photos and he has written a post about The Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall.  I thought this was such an interesting place that I asked Duncan if I could share it with you.  Duncan writes about life in Kuantan, Malaysia, where he lives with his beautiful wife and two young daughters.

Please go over and enjoy his wonderful photos - I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I will now share with you a few quotes from Buddha -

"Do not overrate what you have received, nor envy others.  He who envies others does not obtain peace of mind."

"You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger."

"Peace comes from within.  Do not seek it without."

"Have compassion for all beings, rich and poor alike, each has their suffering.  Some suffer too much, others too little."

Tomorrow I will tell you about three lots of lovely goodies that I have just received in the post, from my very kind bloggy friends!

Thank you for passing along these words of wisdom, Thisisme. It is important for all of us to put them into practice in our daily lives, not simply read and forget them. I hope you are feeling well this week and that you have a splendidly Devonish day, dear friend!

Those sayings would be awesome for all of us to dwell on and I will go over and check his site out. Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Odie

That Buddha looks very happy. I agree with your words of wisdom today and I am reminded to not get exasperated when Hubby riles me...anger is not the solution...breathe in and ....breathe out.

Sorry I'm so late. Life is very busy right now! If I had not chosen Christianity, I would have been a Buddhist. His teachings are beautiful and we can all learn from him. I will go see the photos.

I love these quotes, Diane! As Tom says, simply reading and enjoying their wisdom is not enough...we do need to act on these wise words in our day to day lives. I have enjoyed reading Duncan's comments on your posts. He seems to be a very thoughtful young man. When I finally catch up with my behindness, I will gladly pay him a visit.
