Sunday Snaps!

Here we are again - it's Sunday and time for a couple more of my Sunday Snaps.  I'm thinking that you're probably getting fed up with seeing photos of the little ones, so perhaps I had better look around for some different shots!

I have been looking after Ruby on a Friday now for quite a while,  and she absolutely loves the four horses that are in the next field at the moment.  Most of the day is spent with her nose pressed against the window in the conservatory, making horsey noises and waving at them.  Then she goes upstairs to watch them from the bedroom windows! I tell you, it's fun being a grandma!! Hee Hee!

Here she is making me a cup of tea

In the next one, can you see that her curls are finally starting to grow?!

The next one is of Eli (apologies to my facebook friends, as you will have seen this one recently!).  Couldn't you just eat him?!  My poor gorgeous boy was taken to hospital on Friday morning.  He was at pre-school and he had a fit, so they called the ambulance.  I saw him when I took Ruby home at about 4.30 p.m., and he was just flopped on the sofa, looking very pale, and hardly moving at all.  I do pray that he is going to be alright.  They checked him over and his temperature had gone sky high, so they think he might be coming down with something.  My daughter was talking to him in the ambulance, and she said that he was just talking gobbly-gook, so it wasn't very pleasant for her.

I'm just wondering if it was an infantile febrile convulsion, because my youngest daughter (Eli's mummy) had several of those when she was small and, come to think of it, she was probably around Eli's age when she had her first one.  Fortunately, it is something that they grow out of, but it is really frightening when it happens for the first time because it really does look as if they are having a fit of some kind.

I have always been so very grateful for the good health of my little family, and I am hoping that this was just a blip.

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend my friends and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.  The weather has been very pleasant here again for the last few days - really quite warm.  This time next week, my daughter, granddaughter and little Alfred will be here again, visiting us from France, so we're all really looking forward to seeing them again.

Oh, Diane! I am so sorry to hear about little Eli! I can obviously imagine how very distressing this must be for you all and I sincerely hope it's nothing serious or long-term! He is an absolute honey of a little boy! And little Ruby is SO eat-up-able! She gets cuter and cuter every time we see her and, yes, I had absolutely noticed those glorious golden curls becoming a lot more evident! Linda also had beautiful golden curls as a littlie and grew up to have brunette curls, but she hated having to 'manage' them, so now straightens her hair.

I am thinking of you, especially, right now and wait to hear further news regarding Eli.

Love and hugs xoxo

Oh sweet Eli...I hope he feels better already. I know you and your daughter and family are anxiously awaiting a diagnosis. Prayers are being sent your way as I type. What lovely grandchildren you have and I know you are looking forward to next weekend when you'll have the entire brood there.

Hugs and prayers...

I will for sure never have enough of the pictures of your grandchildren, they are so cute and they bring a smile to my face every time.

As for Eli, I do hope that they will identify what he has, so it will be easier to monitor.

So you will have visitors from France, I am wondering what will they bring you? Some nice French soap? Croissants? Maccarons? Now I wish we would take a short trip to Paris next weekend, should ask hubby :)

I wish you as well a happy weekend!

An ambulance would scare me too! Bless his heart. I am glad he came out unscathed and I hope it has a simple explanation.

As always - gorgeous grandchildren.

Hello Diane, it's always nice to see your snaps. I'm so sorry to hear about little Eli, and hope that he will feel better soon. Little Ruby she is so cute, and her hair seems to be growing nicely, she's like a doll.
Glad to hear you've had some nice weather over there. It's nice and sunny here in Dublin today, and quite warm actually. Wishing you a lovely Sunday!
Warm hugs x

I enjoyed the photos of your cuties, and I love the line, "just a blip". Life doles out blips, and we learn to manage. I hope your little guy is okay.

Pictures of dear little Ruby always make my day. Her hair looks a lot like Eli's. I wish I could see her gazing at those horsies. She will no doubt grow up very fond of horses, dogs and other animals. It makes me sad to know that there are health concerns with Eli. I hope it's just a passing phase and nothing serious. I hope all of you will be in fine shape by the time Alfred arrives next week. Have a restful Sunday, dear friend Thisisme!

I am so sorry to hear of Eli's difficulties. I do hope it's the condition you spoke of- one of my kids had that and it was a one time episode. Love the grandchildren pics!

I feel all broody - well sort of broody-Grandma Broody! What beautiful children and Ruby's curls are so sweet. Eli is fabulous and I hope he gets over this. I too am very grateful that my son was robust and enjoyed good health in the main.
Only one week and the family will be here :) Guess where I will be? Yes, en France! We shall pass somewhere over the Channel.
This is a super post and serves to reflect what a lovely person you are.
Fondest wishes
Carol

Everyone - thank you so much for all your lovely comments and your concern for my gorgeous boy! Elijah is on antibiotics at the moment, with medicine in between, so, hopefully, he will be well again very soon. They both stayed with us last evening, and you could just tell that he wasn't his usual self. Thank you again.

I could never get tired of looking at pics of those adorable kids. She is getting so big. And yes, the first thing I thought of was a seizure from a fever. Of course they don't have bathtubs at school but that's what I would have done immediately. I can even remember when I was 4 I had abscessed tonsils and a fever that caused me to hallucinate. It was scary. Poor little guy. Keep us posted. Looks like next Sunday we'll both be with our kids and grandkids won't we? Woohoo! Hugs my awesome friend!

I'm so sorry Eli is unwell. I pray the antibiotics will work quickly. Thank God for the wonderful medicine we have these days. May the hand of God touch him.
Ruby reminds me so much of Sandy when she was small. Sandy had white blond, curly hair too.

Love the photos being a grandparent is one of lifes greatest joys.....the term infantile febrile convulsion wasn't something I had heard of so I Googled it and yeah I know know what it is and it was something I use to worry about with my girls when they were little.....

I am so sorry to hear that Eli is feeling unwell.. I hope he's all better now.
I have always loved your photographs Diane, and these were particularly adorable. :) :) I just love the blond curls on Ruby.. She looks like an angel. We don't really have blond hair in India, so you could say I'm just a wee li'l bit jealous that you can watch that pretty little head everyday..

Hi Diane, I'm late getting here... and Blogger won't show me your pictures. I'm sorry to read about Eli's convulsion. My daughter Emily also had an episode of febrile seizures when she was small. It was a terrifying situation because we had never heard of this before. We called an ambulance too. Thank goodness that was the one and only time she had to experience that. Sending my prayers to Eli that he's feeling better soon. I'm sorry that you all had to experience that. Take care,
Jenny

Oh, poor little Eli. I hope it was an isolated event. It is so scary when temps go so high. On a lighter note, Ruby's curls are definitely growing and such a cutie.

You're always on the positivie side, and I bet your children and grandchildren will get through the rough times with you right up there with them. Have a great week!

I never get tired of seeing your beautiful photos! How adorable your grandchildren are. The one of Ruby with the horses in the background is so neat! I hope, too, that little Eli was just going through the same thing your other daughter had as a child. I can't even imagine how scary it would be! Hugs to you!

EVERYONE TWO!! I did thank all the earlier commentators, but I have had a lot more lovely comments since then, so here is another big thank you to all those who have popped over to see my Sunday Snaps, and I do so appreciate your concern for Eli. He is still taking the antibiotics, but he is still not his usual self. I'm sure he will be better again in a few days. Hugs to you all.
