Sunday Snaps!

Hard to believe that it's the 15th January already, and Christmas seems like an age ago!! No real theme for my Sunday Snaps today - in fact, it's a bit of a mish-mash.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy them.  I told you of my trip to Topsham in my last post.  Well, I love quotations and little signs, so just couldn't resist these two!

The little photo in the heart shaped frame is of Ruby Violet when she had just been born!

Here are a few photos from Ruby's 2nd birthday party, which took place on the 29th December.

The next photo was taken just before we took the Christmas tree down :(

Finally, for this edition of Sunday Snaps, my gorgeous boy has just had his hair cut again! Eeeek! Now he really is starting to look grown up :(

Hallo dear friend, Thisisme! I agree that the month of January is zooming by and the rest of the year will surely follow. Even so my neighbor still has his Christmas tree on display and turns its lights on every evening. I loved seeing the picture of Ruby at birth. God bless that precious child! She looked just like a princess at her recent party. I was just going to say that all of Eli's hair has grown back based on those party pictures but the latest shots show that he's had it cut shorter again. Either way he's a handsome boy. I always love seeing your daughters and Eleanor, too. Last but surely not least it warms my heart to see my dear friend Thisisme filled with holiday cheer and smiling ear to ear. Happy Sunday to you, sweet Thisisme!

Eli is starting to look grown up. Little Ruby in her tutu will have to stay a baby for a long time. We miss having babies in our family.

I always wish I could write as well as Shady! January is going by fast for me also. I love the photos. Have a lovely day!

These are lovely! I love all of the quotes and the photos are gorgeous (although I'm sure I should have some sort of editing rights to these!).

What a lovely family. I particularly like your header photo of the three generations walking in the woods.

I thought the photos of the signs were such a good thing to read to start my Sunday morning. But then I saw the family birthday pictures and they instantly became my favorites. It's so much fun watching and sharing in these events.

Hi my good friend! Today I especially enjoyed being a fly on the wall at Ruby Violet's second birthday party. She looked delighted with all the wonderful love around her. Eli does look like a big kid now, and so very handsome!

You have such a beautiful family, and it's easy to see the love that flows out of you for each other. I love little Ruby's expression in the one where she is standing in front of her brother with the "2" balloon.

What precious fun!

A lovely group of memories... Preserved in photos... In your blog... :-)

"The night was clear and frosty, all ebony of shadow and silver of snowy slope;
big stars were shining over the silent fields;
here and there the dark pointed firs stood up
with snow powdering their branches
and the wind whistling through them."

I always look forward to your Sunday Snaps and this was a great one for sure. Your grandchildren are all gorgeous and growing so quickly.
Standing there with your daughters actually looked like 3 sisters and loved seeing you in your awesome boots. Great photos to start my Sunday morning,

Dear Diane, I loved all your snaps today. The signs were gorgeous. Ruby seemed to enjoy her birthday party very much - could see it in her face :) Lovely photos my friend! Time fly doesn't it?! Already half of January has passed, and as you said Christmas seems so far away. Wishing you a relaxing Sunday afternoon/evening.

Such precious family memories to record on film. You have beautiful grandchildren. ZIZ've always enjoyed the first quote you posted, by Helen Keller. It was etched on a prominent office window at the last place I worked.

Thanks for the visit Diane. It would be fun to have a go at still life photography wouldn't it? I have had a lazy few weeks since Christmas, so now I need to get cracking! Love Linda x

Hi Thisisme, bringing up the rear. I've been having trouble getting to my favorite blogs! don't know what's going on. Love your pictures, and Ruby's party looked like a fine time. My grandson has been with us for the last few days, and we've been busy, actually had some time outdoors with 65° temperatures. Yes, time is certainly flying by, ugh! Well, I'm off to see if I can pull up some other blogs. I got Shady's up, but wasn't able to leave a note. Don't know if it's my computer, or blogger acting up. Have a wonderful week, you family is beautiful!
