It's Friday, A Little Snow, and Something Very Touching ...

No, we didn't have quite this much snow here in Devon today, just a dusting.  I don't know whether we will get any more over the weekend, but I do know that a lot of the country has had quite a snowfall overnight.  Judging from my facebook friends, there has been some snow in a lot of countries.  As I type this, it has just been announced that Sidney in Australia has had its hottest day ever, with temperatures reaching 45 degrees! Waow!  I hope my Australian friends will find a way of keeping cool.  Stay indoors with the air conditioning on I guess.

Well, that's another week of the new year ticked off.  Easter eggs are already in the shops and, of course, we have Valentines Day next!

I saw the following on facebook earlier today.  I had never seen it before, although many of you might well have done so.  Anyway, I thought I would post it on here, and it is my wish for you my friends.

"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.

I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye."

Hope you all enjoy the weekend.  Stay safe and keep warm.

What lovely thoughts- they are going to stay in my heart and I will remember them.

I am happy you all are having snow. It looks like so much fun! We've had cooler weather here, so I'm thankful for that, too. I am praying for Australia~

Hallo, dear Thisisme! We are finally enjoying cooler weather here in Florida. It's nice to be able to give the air conditioner a rest at least a few days every year. I loved the words of wisdom that you posted here. Without rain we could never fully appreciate the sunshine. We must experience pain in order to fully appreciate periods of good health. We must experience loss in order to fully appreciate all that we still have. When you think about it the best things in life really are free. I hope you are feeling well and in good spirits, my friend. Have a wonderful weekend, dear Thisisme!

I love the dog and the kitty, they're adorable. I've personally have had enough of snow, cold etc. even here in sunny southern California it's been way too cold. I'm definitely a sun and heat lover, so maybe I should move to Australia...

Lovely words...as always..
We have had snow...but that is pretty par for the course up here. I laugh at my friends and family down south who got an inch and everything shut down.
Hope you enjoy your weekend! Hugs

No snow here, but dark skies and rain. We are content to sit it out. I am working on a new quilt, piecing it and appliqué by hand. The actual quilting will happen back in Canada. Pictures of the snow from all my blogging buddies make me relish my time in the tropics even more. Keep them coming. They are beautiful, but I am happy to be missing them. Wishing you "Enough" too.
Blessings,
Rosemary

Hi, snow snow and more snow here. I was speaking to Kerrie and she said their temp was 44 - well was going to say swap, but when I thought about it and don't think I would cope at all in that extreme heat.

Have a nice weekend

GA is usually sunny most of the time - the last two weeks it has been rainy. Today is sunshine - thank goodness.

What else could you wish for:)
Love the pice of the cat and dog.
We got 3-4 inches of snow in Alabama which is rare. Of course the sun came out in the afternoon and the snow began melting away.

I also wanted to thank you for considering a review of my book.
I really appreciate it.

What a cute blog post! I love stopping here because you always have something uplifting and/or funny, etc. I wish all those things to you, too, dear Diane!
P.S. I laughed when I read how hot it is in Australia....45 degrees! I realize that is Celsius, but in the US, we always use Fahrenheit, which is a higher number. I just looked it up, and it is 112 Fahrenheit! You are correct!! THAT is HOT!! :)

Dearest Diane,
Oh, your header made me thought you are stuck in heavy snow p;) Despite the colder temperature, we haven't had pile of snow yet in our area just (Tokyo had a big traffic trouble due to snow fall this year). We had a couple of dusting one like yours.
Sweet phrases and I smiled with the LOVELY picture♡♡♡
I hope you are having wonderful coming weekend.
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
