Sunday Snaps!

Yay! I think I have solved the problem with uploading photos from My Pictures into my blog posts!  I am now using Google Chrome to access my blog, and the Upload images from your Computer button is back.  I am thankful for small mercies!  I always try to look for blessings in my every day life, and I consider this to be a blessing of sorts.

We had just a dusting of snow towards the end of this week, so I thought I would post some snowy photos of my garden from a couple of years back.

The following is a photo taken when I was four and a half, which is exactly the age that Eli is now!  I can't believe that this photo was taken 62 years ago. Eeeeek!!

I went to see Les Miserables at the cinema with a friend during this past week, and I loved it!  I knew the music so well anyway, as I have seen the musical show four times. All the performances were excellent, and the original thing about this particular film is that all of the singers were singing live as you saw them on the big screen.  This is the first time that they have ever done that apparently, and I think it really did add to the appeal of the film.

Well, I think that's about it for today little bloggies.  Take care, keep warm, and see you again soon.

P.S.  The really good thing about using Google Chrome for my blog, is that my blog loads almost instantly (whereas on Blogger it sometimes used to take an age) and the photos uploaded in an instant!

What a sweet picture of you.
I'm not liking our snow so much now. Hubby and I tried shoveling it yesterday (after I got home from the basketball game) and didn't make much headway. Our house is so shaded that it will never melt on its own. Have a great day.

Your pictures made me shiver, and then I came upon the one of you that warmed my heart and made me smile. I wore my hair the same way. I suppose Shirly Temple had an influence.

Hallo, dear Thisisme! It is a blessing to see your Sunday Snaps feature today. I used to swear at my computer. Now I swear by Google Chrome. As a child I could barely contain my excitement when snow began to fall. I'd gaze out the window for hours following flakes from sky to ground and hoping they wouldn't stop coming until there was enough accumulation for sledding, snowmen and snow forts. To me snow meant fun and play and a day off from school. To grownups it meant something quite different: shoveling, digging, scraping, slipping, falling, delayed travel, skidding and crashing. EEEEK!! You were a lovely child, Diane, and I am so happy to see a picture of you at Eli's age. I can see it in the eyes of that wonderful child that I am looking at my dear friend Thisisme. Happy Sunday to you and please stay safe and well in the coming week!

Oh, Diane, I see SUCH a resemblance between you and little Eli. How adorable!

The snow looks heavenly. The only thing we've had a dusting of...is dust. Maybe one day, though...

Les Mis is wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!

Oh my! That little picture of you is adorable. As Linda said, it's definitely the Shirley Temple look. My hair has always been so blasted straight, my mom would have had to have plugged me into an electrical outlet to get any curls! I can certainly still see the resemblance - especially in your eyes and mouth.

Hi Diane,

Lovely snowy pictures. No snow in sight in my area. What a beautiful picture of you - lovely memories I reckon! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Hi Dianne,

As you will probably have gathered, we have had more than a dusting here in Hertfordshire and it is still snowing, all schools closed tomorrow.

So as pretty and magical and fun for the kids, as it is, I have had enough now.

Take Care

Lovely photos. Your garden is even beautiful covered in snow.
I am sure that Blogger works better with Chrome because they are both Google. I found that when I was with Blogger too

I love it right after a snowfall. The world looks clean and magical. I use Chrome also and it is a good search engine and very good for using Blogger.

You look so cute in ringlets. My mom used to do that to me for church.

I have not tried Goofle Chrome...but if it works for you then that's great. I love those snow photos I think I love photos of snow so much because I do not see snow here, if that makes any sense.......What a cute 4yr old you were....

I meant to compliment you on the lovely snowscape of your garden. I wish I was there, enjoying the winter wonderland with you. You make the tea, I'll [attempt] make the scones. ::wink:: I think cranberry. :D

And weren't you a cutie. heehee We can see that Eli gets it honestly, eh?

Hugs and much love to you my friend xoxo Skippy

love the ringlets! I remember my mother tying my hair up in rags trying for that effect. We only did it once. My hair is poker straight and all that effort fell out almost immediately. I lost the photos option a couple of years ago and it lasted for about a month or so. Horrible! Recently I had to buy space at $2.49/month to enlarge the photo storage for my blog! What is going in the techno stratosphere? I'm sure things will turn around soon for you. Don't give up. We love visiting with you and your English cottage. :)
