Hallo again everyone. I am writing on a much more serious note now. Many of you will remember Kelly, daughter number one's best friend, and Eleanor's Godmother. You will recall that she had breast cancer last year, and really went through the mill, having chemotherapy, radiotherapy, plus a double masectomy.
She has a little girl, Lilly, who is the same age as little Ruby. In fact, Lilly only recently celebrated her third birthday.
Kelly was given the all clear a short while ago, to everyone's delight. Yesterday, she collapsed and had a fit, and has just found out that the cancer has spread to her brain, which is just dreadful news.
They are starting her on chemotherapy again today, but I wonder if I could ask all my kind bloggy friends out there to hold Kelly in your prayers, so that we can hope that a miracle might occur.
Emma, my daughter, is quite distraught at this latest news, as you can well imagine, because they are so very close.
Life certainly isn't fair, is it? When you think of the wicked people that are out there in the world, and, yet, this always seems to happen to the good ones. I guess we will never know the reason why.
Thank you dear friends.

Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Praying for Kelly. I can only imagine the fear she's facing about the future - especially with having a young child. May God bless her and comfort her and her family - and comfort your daughter as well. I have two friends who've had brain cancer and have survived for years now after surgery and radiation. Hopefully it can be treated.
Oh no Diane. This is awful and I will pray for Kelly. I learned early on that cancer is the great equalizer and does not discriminate. love, olive
