Sunday Snaps!

Here we are again little bloggies.  Gosh, I hope it's warm wherever you are.  Here in Devon, we have had this bitterly cold wind for a week, and it's been SO cold.  I wasn't built for the cold!!  But, at least it's been dry, so that's a blessing in itself.  We've got so much water over here in the ground, that it's going to take an awful long time for it to dry out.

I thought I would post a few photos of warmer times , and I hope you enjoy them.

Eleanor & I on a rare sunny day in the garden!

This one was taken on the historic Barbican, which leads up to Plymouth Hoe.  Do you like the vintage ice-cream van?
Ruby enjoying a chocolate ice-cream. Eeeek!
Thank you again for your supportive comments relating to my last post, and the sad news about Emma's best friend (and Eleanor's Godmother).  I can only pray now that Kelly will have quality time  to spend enjoying laughter with her little girl, family and friends.

There are five really close friends, who have known each other for years and years.  One of them is due to get married in June.  Anyway, they have decided to bring the Hen Party forward to take place in two weeks time, and they will stay in a really posh hotel in Cornwall for a couple of nights.  Time now, of course, is of the essence.  I found this lovely quote, and I posted it onto Kelly's facebook page -

Emma with Kelly
Kelly

Sending blessings and hugs your way my friends.

To stay strong is very important, even if not easy! So sorry but I am sure she appreciates her family and family. Emma is a very loyal friend, just like you!

Ah very sad, all you can do really is pray.

It is very cold here and the snow keeps trying, but as yet it has not settled.

God Bless - Nita

It's always a special blessing when there are pictures of all your lovely grandchildren. You are so very blessed my friend. It is still cold and wet here and I am not built for the cold either. Hope everything goes well for the planned gathering. Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Odie

The Hen Party will be wonderful. I'm so glad Kelly is making the most of these days, as we all should. None of us is promised tomorrow, after all.

You would thrive here, my friend. Not really cold to speak of, and I am writing this from the beach, where it is gorgeous. I wish for you warm weather!

Hallo, dear Thisisme! You have the kind of weather I've been wishing for and vice versa. It's only February and the temperature here in Florida is approaching 90 most days. We would very much appreciate your rain along with a refreshing cold spell.

It's a delight to see you and Eleanor basking in the sunshine surrounded by your colorful garden (even if that sunny day is now only a distant memory). I loved seeing the children enjoying ice cream treats. When I was young the "snowball man" came through our neighborhood every evening during summer selling cone shaped containers of ice saturated with liquid flavoring. My favorite flavor was licorice.

A tear fell when I looked at the pictures of Kelly taken at a happier time. I hope she will feel well enough to attend the hen party. Laughter and fun can cure one's ills and there is always the possibility that a celebration with friends will help her stage a comeback. Where there's life there's hope.

Have a wonderful Sunday, dear friend Thisisme, and a safe and happy week ahead!

Hi Thisisme...believe it or not, I came here from facebook. Saw your link and clicked!

I LOVE the vintage ice cream truck with that gorgeous boy standing in front of it. You were right when you said we have the most beautiful grandchildren, lol! And, Ruby's photo is really fun...she loved that ice cream didn't she?

I still don't know how to get my blog going on facebook like you did, with creating a page. I've tried several times now. RATS!

Love your photos of Emma and Kelly. It's really sad, and, there are no words that feel appropriate. I guess we just keep those prayers coming. Good to see you this morning, stay warm Thisisme!♥

Hi Diane, it's always nice to see pictures of your grandchildren :) I love that vintage ice cream truck.
It's been very cold over here to this past week, but today wasn't so bad, managed to go for a short walk in the sunny weather. Will continue pray for Kelly and her fam. Hugs x

Sweet.... That's a pretty nice hug you are getting. What a fun ice cream truck. Does it play a tune when it comes. I guess that is too big. There used to be a small truck come around our neighborhood and I'd have coins ready for the kids. Ding dong dairy.... that's what it was..... I almost forgot it's name. I bet it takes more than a few coins for a cone now, huh?
Friends from youth mean so much. I'm just about the only one left of my group.

You warm pictures are so beautiful - I would love to see the place for real. Sorry it is so cold - we are pretty warm today. Rainy the rest of the week...

I thought your header was a picture of your garden. Still Daffies can handle a lot of cold. We are wilting in the heat here in Nassau, hot and humid. The sky has turned black, so we are in for a storm before supper for sure.

Ruby and the chocolate ice cream is priceless. Thank you for giving us an image of Kelly to connect with when we pray for her.

It's cold here too, but we are making the best of it! I've been sick for four weeks and am so ready for sunny warm days! Thank you for sharing the beautiful photographs, especially of Kelly. How tragic and unbelievably painful for her loved ones. I will keep praying for a miracle.
