The Worst Possible News ....

Well,  I write this post with a very heavy heart.  I'm afraid it's the worst possible news about Kelly. The cancer is everywhere - lungs, stomach, brain.

There is nothing they can do. They just have to try to make her comfortable for the next few months.

Everyone is in bits. all the prayers just didn't do any good, and it does make you wonder WHY?

Oh, dear friend, I am truly and deeply sorry to learn of this outcome. At times like this all of us are left wondering how a benevolent God can allow all the suffering and injustice there is in this world. All we can do is continue to pray and have faith. Kelly must never give up the fight.

This is so sad...I am so sorry to hear this news. How hard it must be to deal with it right now.

All we can do is offer prayers and support, and, keep the faith! (That's always been your motto, Thisisme!)

Hugs

What sad news. I am so sorry for Kelly and her husband, children and family and friends. You and Emma. We should never dismiss the value of our lives because we all touch so many people.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. We will still pray anyway. There is comfort yet to be found in her journey, and maybe an important message of love.

Oh Diane, I am so very sorry. I know God heard our prayers but we don't know why he sometimes says no. I pray for her and her family during this tragic time. I've read many books on why God allows this kind of suffering and they have helped me. One of the best is called, "The Problem of Pain," by C.S.Lewis.

It's a job to know what to say with such devastating news. It does make you doubt all the prayers and your faith. I wish I could say something useful but all I can say is that I am so sorry. Hold on in there my friend!! Joan

I'm so sorry Diane. My sister's husband died of cancer in his early forties leaving her with three young children I remember being so angry at God when he didn't answer our prayers. But she raised those boys to be wonderful men with God's help. We'll never know the answer while we're on this earth, but someday there will be an explanation for us. I pray that she will live her life to the fullest in these next few months and never give up the faith. God has done and will continue to perform miracles. The miracles just aren't always what we expect them to be.

Diane, Dear Heart! Such devastating news. The hardest question for people of faith is "WHY". When my dear friend died of Breast Cancer two summers ago, we focused on all the good things she had done for others, the many people she had blessed thru her life, and the courage and sweetness she taught us as she lived with her disease. She was a great example of dying with dignity (whatever that means). She left us with joy in our sadness. I pray with you, that Kelly and her family will have peace as they grieve and that her children will grow up knowing their mother was a strong, lovely woman who loved them unconditionally. The fact that all our lives end eventually gives us no solace when we feel someone is taken too soon. I am sending you hugs and kisses as you grieve for your sweet Kelly.
