What's It All About....

Hallo again my friends.  Sometimes I think it is nice to be able to come into our bloggy world, with all our friends around the world, and try to get some peace.  Another tragedy with the terrible events at the Boston Marathon.  Everyone here in the United Kingdom sends our love and prayers to all those involved at this time.  I've found with past events, that there is just no point in trying to make any sense of it all.  Violence of any sort is abhorent  to most of us, and we just cannot visualize the minds of the people that carry out such atrocities.

I can remember only too well the time of the Bali bombings back in 2002, because my youngest daughter, Alison, was on a Gap Year at that time, and she was actually in Bali at the time.  Thank God that she was safe.

So, for this post, I am going to try to find some peace for us all by way of letting you see some of the roses that will be out in my garden from June onwards.  Rose gardens are the perfect spaces to dream, relax and leave the stresses of the outside world at the gate.  Inside you will be dazzled by the scent and the wonderful array of colours.

We all need beauty in our lives, we all need fresh air, hidden depths, new views.  We need places that can lift our spirits and help us to find a different rhythm in our lives.  This kind of refreshment isn't a luxury - it is vital to us all.

Let us give thanks that we are all safe and well today and pray for those less fortunate.

Thank you, dear Thisisme. I can almost smell those beautiful roses. Pictures like these are most welcome on this very sad day when images of terror and tragedy fill our heads. Your words are comforting. Let the healing begin... yet again.

Lovely pictures...as Shady said, i can almost smell them... hearts are hurting in New England and around the world today...such senseless, useless violence in this world...makes it tough to see the goodness..until you retreat into this world of support and love and realize that their are good, strong, loving people out there....thank you for being that today...

The petals may fall, the scent remains. Roses are comforting as are your words today.

Thank you so much my awesome friend. That was exactly what I needed to read this morning as I feel so empty inside after the news. Your pictures make me almost think I can smell those roses and I too agree that flowers can take you to another place. You are truly a very thoughtful lady!! Hugs.

I can't say how much it means to find your comforting and loving words today, Diane. We must keep love in our hearts and kindness for all..even those who sometimes might make us want to turn away from them. Love CAN conquer all.
Your roses are always a joy to behold...

My cousin's daughter was there 5 minutes before the explosion but moved away. So lucky. I need a 'smell-o-vision' IPad so I can smell those gorgeous roses. They look so heavenly. Such positive thoughts must surely help those in need. Much love xx

Roses really take pretty good care of themselves, don't they? I just moved back to a house in town that stood vacant for years. I had previously planted a number of rose bushes and they are still producing. But the rest of the flowers went south, I think, to get some sun. LOL

Your roses are so lovely! All that rain gets put to good use. Be thankful for the rain. We are so dry and dull here. We are expecting snow tomorrow. It is April. We should be seeing flowers.

I love that last paragraph. I think I will have to copy it so I can remember it. XO

Hi. I'm sorry that I haven't visited in a while. I've missed you all! I love your rosé garden. How lovely it must be to step out of the door Nd be enveloped in the scent and sights of those beautiful flowers! Trouble is that roses are a lot of work so I think I prefer to visit your garden rather than own it!
Or I suppose it would be good to employ a gardener.....now there's an idea!

Two of Breezy's sorority sisters from college ran the marathon this year. Luckily, they were safe. And smart enough to post on facebook that they were fine. Otherwise we would have been freaking out. Your roses are simply gorgeous! Thank you so much for sharing them.

Beautiful words during this sad and crazy time. I'm hearing right now that these terrorists have been over here for 10 years, "fully assimilated", attending the best schools, with scholarships. They are also involved with Chechican jihadists.(Very brutal branch of jihad.) (I am not spelling those words correctly, sorry.)

Your roses are indeed beautiful and soothing. I can imagine that they smell wonderful. I'm taking a big sniff right now.

My heart has been hurting for the people and families who have been hurt by this terrible act. When I look at the flowers I think of the beauty of God. It is so sad how far man can fall from that beauty.
