Another Month Almost Over....

Well, it seems ages since I last wrote a Blog Post, and here we are,  almost at the end of June.  Summer finally decided to arrive here in heavenly Devon during this past week, and that certainly makes me happy, especially after all the dreary weather we were having earlier in June.

Mind you, I feel very sorry for all those living in Europe at the moment, with the record breaking high temperatures, in the mid-40's. My eldest granddaughter lives in Madrid, and number 1 daughter has recently moved to Cannes from Ibiza, so I know they're doing their very best to try to somehow keep cool at the moment.

So today, courtesy of, I thought I would show you some sunshine ☀️ quotes to brighten your day.

Thinking about sunshine, happiness comes to mind, and I think the following little quotes help us to focus on how we can all find happiness within us...

"The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts."

"Thinking positively will attract positive things into your life."

"If you love yourself, you open yourself up to being loved in return."

"Search for the beauty in everything, because it's there if you look hard enough."

"Being generous and loving spreads happiness that is then returned to you tenfold."

"People treat you according to how you allow yourself to be treated."

"You can't control what happens to you in your life, but you can control how you react."

Something for us to think about perhaps.  I hope all is well in your little part of the world as you read this, and I hope you have sunshine in YOUR life. Take care ❤️

Hi Thisisme. I enjoyed your Sunshine quotes this morning. We have had a lot of rain this month also, and a storm last week rendered us without electricity overnight. I guess some of the electrical lines got blown around too much and crashed. Scootie and I were so glad when morning came and the electricity was restored!

I see Benji in your header photo is keeping an eye out on the grounds! I can always spot something that I haven't seen before in your garden photos! This time it is the tall rooster...I haven't noticed him before. He is so stately!

It is so good to see you here. And, now that your daughter has gone to Cannes you will have to plan a visit. I hope to take Scootie to Kansas sometime in July to visit my family. There have been so many disruptions of late, that I can hardly make plans in my own life.

Thank you for your lovely post, and have a wonderful week ahead, dear friend! ♥

Hi there Suzanne, my Texan friend, and such a good supporter of my Blog. I always appreciate each comment you make! Emma and Eleanor have been here with us, just for a week, but it was so good to see them again, as you can imagine. We took them back to the airport this afternoon, and they’re going back to that heatwave! Fortunately, we were blessed with good weather during their visit. It makes such a difference, doesn’t it? That will be lovely if you can take Scootie to visit your family in Kansas. Fingers crossed, it will all work out for you. You noticed the cockerel! I have lots of little things dotted around - makes the garden a little more interesting I think! That storm couldn’t have been very nice for you ! Thank goodness the electricity supply came back on the next day! We take all these things for granted, don’t we?! As always, thank you so much for taking the trouble to leave a comment. I hope you have a good week. Eli only has another couple of weeks at his present school - then he starts at the college in September! ❤️

I so enjoyed your sunshine post and I'm glad you aren't having the awful heatwave that some in Europe are having. How is your garden growing? In your header photo, it looks really nice. Looking forward to your next post.

Hallo Babs - thank you so much for leaving such a lovely comment. Yes, my garden is looking pretty good now, especially now that we have some sunny weather at last. I've never been to your part of the USA. I've visited four times over the past few years, visiting friends in Green Bay, Wisconsin. On my last trip, we visited Maine and New England, which I loved. Lovely to hear from you 😊
