Emma has had pain in her back for a long, long time now and has been going to the Doctor having various tests of one form or another.
They say she has Spondylitis Arthritis, which is quite worrying, as she is only in her early forties. Emma has been taking meds every four hours, but they are not touching the pain 😔 and she is not sleeping at night. Also, there is another problem with her back that will need an operation. My mum suffered terribly with her back, and I have had two operations, so it would seem that it is an hereditary thing.
She is hardly able to walk these days, certainly not very far at all. This morning was a particularly bad time, as she couldn't move at all and was in agony. She was literally shaking with the pain.
Anyway, we called for the doctor, and an ambulance came and took her into Hospital at 1 pm this afternoon. Emma didn't want the doctor to be called, but as her mum, I just thought enough was enough, and we had to try to get it sorted. She is still in dreadful pain, but they have just given her some morphine, thank goodness.
At least she is in the right place now. Thankfully, Eleanor is on half term holiday, so she is with her mum. I am home alone looking after Alfred!
See you again soon.
