He's Going To Be An Angel! ....

Hallo again bloggy friends.  I saw this little sign the other day, and couldn't resist sharing it here with you all!

Well, I have some news hot off the press!  Guess what Eli is going to be in his school Christmas play?! He is going to be an angel, and I can tell you that he's not happy about it.  (Personally, I think he was just made to be an angel. Hee Hee!).  It doesn't help when Ruby is going around telling him that little boys aren't angels!  It is rather unusual though.  Anyway, we have told him about Angel Gabriel and that he was the main man, but I still don't think he's very impressed!  He's going to be complete with wings, but I'm not sure we'll get him to wear the halo!  Here he is in his latest school photo.

I suppose I had also better include a photo of little Miss Ruby - she is definitely the cheeky one!

Well, it would be unfair to leave Eleanor out, wouldn't it, so here she is with her new hair style (apologies to my facebook friends, who have already seen this one).

We had the little ones to sleep last weekend.  Do they look as if they are ready to go to sleep to you?!

Well, this has turned out to be a bit of a Sunday Snaps feature, only on a Monday instead!

I am getting lots of walks in at the moment, because the weather is so glorious with clear blue skies.  I then come home and light the woodburner during the afternoon - lovely.  Can't wait to put the Christmas decorations up at the weekend.  It's much earlier than I used to do that, but, since we've had little ones around again, I just love it and it's nice to have the pretty fairy lights up when the days are shorter.

This is a photo I took of an old steam train which runs past the coast near where I live.

Well little bloggies, I do hope you have enjoyed my selection of photos today and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

Hallo, dear Thisikins! My oh my, Eli is developing into a handsome young man. Tell him there's nothing sissy about playing an angel in the Christmas play. I'm sure he'll get into the spirit and do a fine job of it.

Ruby is growing into a beautiful young lady, isn't she? Bless her heart!

I see Eleanor is still sporting her Gwyneth Paltrow hair style. She looks marvelous. I hope her mum's doing much better these days.

You are the envy of many bloggers in America today because a nasty winter storm is sweeping across the country and threatens to make Thanksgiving travel very hazardous. I am delighted to know that you continue to enjoy such fine weather over there. That last picture would make a perfect post card beckoning people to visit fair Devon.

I cant wait to see pictures of your holiday decorations, dear friend. Don't forget to hang a wreath and a string of lights on Sandy!

Blessings and SMOOCHES, dear friend Thisisme!

I think Eli will be a perfect angel, one look at that face and I know exactly why he was chosen! Ruby makes me laugh with her teasing of her big brother, not many opportunities for the younger one to get any teasing done! Your grandchildren are just so beautiful! I love how the beauty within them shines right out…
I think the picture of the train and the ocean is breathtaking. Truly, i did just 'OHHHH" when I saw it! I can only imagine how thrilling it is to see all that splendor in person!
LIke Tom, I can't wait to see your Christmas decorations. I start getting antsy to get mine up as soon as Thanksgiving is done!
Happy Holidays and Loves, Loves, Loves~

Yes! I found a way to comment now!

What fabulous photo of the children. The train photo looks like it should be on a postcard my friend! Give little Eli this tidbit of info I found when looking up the gender of angels. You may want show it to little Ruby also.

"There is no doubt that every reference to angels in Scripture refers to them in the masculine gender. The Greek word for “angel” in the New Testament, angelos, is in the masculine form. In fact, the feminine form of angelos does not exist. There are three genders in grammar—masculine (he, him, his), feminine (she, her, hers), and neuter (it, its). Angels are never referred to in any gender other than masculine. In the many appearances of angels in the Bible, never is an angel referred to as “she” or “it.” Furthermore, when angels did appear, they always appeared dressed as human males (Genesis 18:2, 16; Ezekiel 9:2). No angel ever appeared in Scripture dressed as a female.

Looks like all the GRANDkids are doing GREAT. Sorry Eli is down about being an Angel but if anyone looked like an Angel he does and he will be the most handsome angel of all. We are getting ready for Turkey Day here and I promise to eat enough for you and me both. That is one of the best parts of the FAMILY TIME we celebrate. Hope you have GREAT week and WEEKEND!!!!

While we know that Eli is an absolute angel, good for him for standing his ground for not being happy about something. And little sister teasing him that boys aren't angels doesn't help! Oh how I wish I could hear those two! He will do fine no matter what role he has. Lovely grandchildren you there my awesome friend!! I love trains. I love the sound of them and love to ride them. That photo is great. Take care XX

My word Thisisme! What a cool post...three angels in a row! Eli is such a sweetness, and he will be a great angel, even if he doesn't think so right now. Wait until the audience applauds, he'll be pleased.

I just love Eleanor's hairstyle, she has such beautiful hair! Bangs are all the rage now, aren't they? And, little Ruby gives us all a lift with her laughter and cheeks!

A marvelous post indeed...have a great week. Sounds like you're off to a good start! ♥

Your grandchildren are so cute, love Eleanor's dress. That steam engine train picture looks like a post card. I so wish I lived by the shore. Blessings to you and your little angels.

Your grandchildren are absolutely adorable. I can see how Eli may not like the role he's been given, but really, he does make the perfect angel.

Christmas is one month from today. Thanks for pointing that out to me today on Facebook. LOL
I'm really stressed now. We have to get through Thanksgiving first. I never decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I won't be putting up everything this year because we are going out of town. I am looking forward to seeing the lights and decorations around town.

How sweet he is going to be an angel, and the best one there, I'm sure! I hope he sinks into the idea of it soon. Loved your pics, and how special to see that old steam train. Don't see those very often anymore!

Love the sign, also the new header photos, very seasonal. Poor Eli being teased about being an Angel, I came across an old school photo of me as one the other day.

Dear Diane, I probably have not told you enough what a difference you and your blog have made in my life. Truly, I'm not exaggerating! There must be some story of male angels to help Eli feel better about this honor. I think he looks exactly like an angel! The photo of the train going along the coast made me suck in my breath...One day I plan to visit your beautiful countryside, and soak up the loveliness of it all! I'm so glad you are a joyful person who loves to celebrate the holidays...this year I'm really getting in the spirit! I bought extra lights and am going to make some new ornaments for the tree. The anticipation and excitement is already building in my heart!

P.S. I just did a little search and discovered that there is no reference in the Bible to the existence of female angels, apparently they are all male!
