"Why don't you start a blog," my daughter asked, on one of her visits from Paris, obviously thinking that her poor old mum needed something to do to fill her time. Perhaps I should point out that the word "old" is used loosely here. Perhaps she had heard that I spent hours on Farmville and Frontierville via facebook, and thought that I should be doing something more constructive with my time. Anyway, these will be the ramblings from someone who lives in deepest Devon, who loves life, family and female friendships, and as no-one will ever read my musings, I guess I can more or less write what I want.
Here's the random bit : Who to wake up to in the mornings? Chris Moyles on Radio 1 or the other Chris (Evans) on Radio 2. Having tried them both on various occasions, I will have to plump for Chris Evans, who is coming along very nicely on his (fairly) new breakfast show.

I shall claim the honour of being your first reader, Diane - or at least the first to comment!
I agree wholeheartedly with you on life, family and female friendships, but not on early morning listening. Radio 4 for me every time (or silence if the news is too gloomy!)
My first reader!! I suppose you should get a prize for that. As I was posting the blog, I realized that I should have put, "or perhaps you would rather wake up to someone else in the morning."!
Well done Grandma, look forward to reading more x
Yoooo yooooo, trop coooooool!
Love your site! Yo.

I am not sure how you found me, but you did, so I came by to thankyou and found a blog that appeals to me so I shall become follower number 3. I will try and visit and comment as often as I can, but I find keeping up more and more difficult especially with prolific bloggers that write every day. I do not know where you find the time?
Hallo again LindyLouMac! Just to let you know that I found you by clicking on "Italy" in the Interests section of my Blog, and a whole lot of Blogs came up. I flicked through quite a few of them and then found yours, which I liked. From which, I picked up on your book reviews blog. As I'm new to blogging, I thought perhaps you had to write something every day! I don't think I will be able to keep that up, but will write as often as I can.
Hi! I found you through Bouncin'Barb - I am a new follower and I also put you on my blogroll. I really, really like your blog and can't wait to read more.
Hope you are having a good night's sleep [I think the time difference is 5 hours?]
I'm off to bed in a minute SkippyMom, and do hope that I manage to sleep through tonight, especially as I'm looking after my 10 month old granddaughter tomorrow, so she will keep me on my toes!!
Aha! And you wondered who'd be reading your ramblings! Look at your eager following just one year later :)
Big hug xoxo
