Sorry dear friends, but this is the first time that I have opened up my beloved little laptop for well over a week, and I think I've gone a little stir crazy in that time! As it's been so long since I've written a post, I thought I should start off with something profound and wonderful - hence the quotes from Shakespeare above!
First of all, I would like to thank my beautiful daughter for writing that little update on my behalf. I had no idea she had done that until all your wonderful comments started to appear on my iPhone. Thanks honeybunch!
Secondly, I must then thank all of you who posted such lovely comments - they really DID cheer me, and it was good to know that my lovely little bloggy friends were out there rooting for me.
Amazingly, since I haven't been posting, I've gained four new followers, so I would like to welcome them along to my Blog, written here in deepest Devon in England.
I guess my illness had been building up over the past couple of weeks, and I was just trying to fight it - as you do!! All I have been doing every day is just sitting in the chair, reading and sleeping, reading and sleeping, which is just not like me at all. I'm still feeling very weak but, suddenly wanting to write a post is, for me, a huge leap forward, so I can only think that it's onwards and upwards from now on. Anyway, I've got an outfit to buy for this wedding, which will be here before we know it!!
I'll just finish off with something that, hopefully, might make you smile. One of my more senior moments, I think you could call it. Two days ago, I had my shower and, feeling really pale and pasty, I thought I would put on some of my L'Oreal bronzing spray, to give myself a bit of colour.
I picked up the aerosol and sprayed myself all over. Yikes! My first thought was, "OMG! That's COLD!", which doesn't normally happen. Anyway, when I looked again, I had picked up the wrong thing, and I had sprayed myself all over with Ellnett Hairspray!! DOH! I wouldn't mind, but I couldn't move my arms and legs for about eight hours, because they were so stiff. LOL!!
Lordy, Lordy, it's good to be back with you all again. I hope that all is well in your part of the world, wherever that might be.
I am so sorry that I haven't been by earlier! I was actually doing some substitute teaching this week and when I had some free time I was obviously looking after the family and watching the news about our neighbours in New Zealand. I am so so sorry to hear that you have been so very poorly. I am glad to see that you seem to be feeling better and even making jokes (watch out for that hairspray!!) Do take care my dear Devon friend and keep resting!
Best wishes always,
I sure needed that smile lovely lady and I am so very happy to know that you are feeling better and spunky. Never doubt for a moment that you were missed. We need that daily dose of your wit and wisdom so know that we are overjoyed to have you back.
Oh, I am SO glad that you are feeling better!! I was beginning to REALLY worry about you!! Keep resting, so that you don't have a set back. Thank you for the laugh this morning, too! Hairspray!! You really must have been sick!! ((HUGS))
Really glad you are starting to feel a wee bit better. Laughed at your senior moment, very funny!
Natasha - yes, I have been thinking about our friends in New Zealand too. What a terrible time for them. Thank you so much for dropping by and leaving such a nice comment.
Odie - that was such a lovely comment. Thank you dear man!
Becky - thank you, and thank you for the hug, which I can really do with right now!
lyndylou - thank you! Well, you've got to laugh, haven't you?! You know that better than anyone. Hope you, Holly and Jack are okay up there in Scotland.
Welcome back!! Miss you...hugs
So happy to hear you're feeling better. You have senior moments you day, but me, I have menopause moments, giggle. Well at least the hairs on your arms were nice and tidy with the help from your hairspray, smile. Hugs and thank you for following my graphics blog. Katherine
yay you're back missed you but your daughter did a great job. hugs and welcome back
It's wonderful to see a post from you and to know that you're on the rebound, dear friend Thisisme. Please take it slow and easy to avoid a relapse. I do believe I have learned a thing or two from this post:
1. You can speed your recovery from illness by covering your body with hairspray.
2. You can build your blog's membership by not writing a single word!
I shall try both! (LOL) God bless you, dear Thisisme. Welcome back!
Oh it is lovely to hear from you and know you are on the mend! We were all missing you.
Both you and Shady made me laugh this morning! The hairspray thing was hilarious! It is so sticky. I can't believe you want a tan when you have just been sick. That shows some gumption!
I remember once I bought some "body splash" for the shower. I splashed it on and it smelled so strong no one could be near me at work. They held their noses in the elevator!
I love how even though you aren't feeling fabulous, you still try to make US, your devoted readers, smile:) that sets you apart and makes you such a special angel. feel better:)
Colenic - thank you so much. I must be feeling a bit better in myself to even think about blogging!
Blog Buttons - thank you for your kind comments. I must have been very lucky, because I didn't really get any menopause moments!!!
Becca - thank you. My daughter did well, didn't she?!
Shady - as always, you make me smile dear friend. (Thank you, also, for popping by yesterday as well). It's good to be back, but you are right, sometimes I do tend to be a bit like a bull in a china shop, so I must take it easy and not overdo things for a little while longer.
Belle - lovely to hear from you. Shady never lets us down, does he?! Your Body Splash story made me smile!
vintch - thank you so much for those lovely comments.

Sos glad you are feeling better Thisisme! praise the Lord! But please take it easy for the full recovery so you can enjoy all these wedding prepartions and excitment of the up coming nuptils. Thank you for stopping byu as you always do. Yes! Please feel free to use that poem Thisisme. It was one I have had hang in my home for many years then now I just keep close to my heart. Looking forward to your many smiles on line. Blessings
Oh WELCOME BACK!!! So glad you are feeling a bit better...but pluresy is no laughing matter. Pace yourself.
Had to laugh out loud at the spraying yourself with hair spray instead of tanning spray...sounds like something I would do!
Am slowly getting myself back to normal, despite my lower back still being stiff and sore. Think I need a new ICY HOT PAK...
I should not admit this, but I went out and fertilized my roses (am late doing so due to my back) and pounded fertilizer stakes in the bushes and trees....I only did my small back patio and will save the front yard for another day...
I am sure it is why I feel more stiff. It is so hard to feel good and not be in pain...and want to do the projects which pile up....
Thank you for coming to visit...I am so glad you are better....please, please, please take care of yourself.
You have a WONDERFUL and THOUGHTFUL daughter...we all so appreciated her giving us an update.
healthy hugs to you dear one.
SkippyMom - I enjoyed your happy dance! You must do it more often! Do hope that you're feeling better now as well.
Olive - lovely to hear from you. Yes, it's a huge leap forward indeed! (I'll probably be done for again tomorrow!).

Good to see you back and feeling bright enough to admit to such a funny Senior Moment. Take Care and don't overdo it too soon. xx
Donna B - lovely to hear from you. Yes! I will pace myself. After all the excitement of today,I shall probably collapse again tomorrow. LOL!! Yes, I am very lucky with both my beautiful daughters. They are beautiful inside and out! Eeek! fertilizing the roses was probably not such a good idea with your back as it is at the moment. But I know what you mean, it's very difficult when you see all these jobs that need doing. Take care.
LindyLouMac - thank you. Lovely to see you here again. I will be careful - feeling pretty wiped out again right now after all my blogging today! Early night again for me I think.
WooHoo, WooHoo, WooHoo....So happy to have you back. Please don't over do it though. Rebound is a very bad thing. Take your time and know I missed you very much!!! Hugs Awesome Lady

Yay!! It is so great to hear that you are feeling better! Take your recovery nice and slow. Don't overdo it (i.e. have others make meals for you and clean them up ;-) ). BTW, the hair spray tan cracked me up. Well, at least it was invisible.
Ana* - thank you so much for popping into my blog, and I hope you will come again. Thank you for your good wishes.
caterpillar - well, you didn't miss much!!
