Romantic Post - Number 5.

If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

- Courtney Kuchta -

A stranger you were once.
Then, with a gentle look you took my hand.
As our lives engaged,
you lit my life and I held both your hands.
Now that decades have passed,
our souls have indeed become one.
How fortunate we are
that we have found the love so true
that everyone dreams about.

- Laura Veronica Merodio -

Now for something a bit more lighthearted!

"Never go to bed mad -- stay up and fight." - Phyllis Diller.

"I feel like Zsa Zsa Gabor's eighth husband on her wedding night: I know what I'm supposed to do...I just have to figure out a way to make it interesting." - many attributions.

"I love being married. It's so great to find one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life." - Rita Rudner.

"There are three kinds of men who do not understand women: Young, old, and middle-aged." - Anonymous (and with good reason).

Now I'd like to share some romantic photos with you - enjoy!

Quote by Agatha Christie, the famous author, who, herself, was married to an Archaeologist :

"An Archaeologist is the best husband a woman could have: the older she gets, the more interested he is in her."

Mrs. Christie's quote made me smile. :) So cute.

And the very first quote is exactly how I feel about my husband. I am copying it and putting it in his lunch today. Just so he knows.

Thanks This. So nice.

I'll be doing a single V-day post dealing with our great expectations about love and romance. I was never lucky in love I'm sad to say. I have a joke of my own to contribute: A bachelor is defined as a man who doesn't make the same mistake once. Cheers, dear friend!

Love the love quotes. My favorite one I think will have to be Phyllis Diller. Have a wonderful end to your day. Blessings

Oh how lovely! I'm behind on my blog reading and you are my first stop. What a super post. I enjoyed the 'funnies' too. I've just finished reading a book about Agatha Christie - what an interesting life she had.
Hubby is anti Valentine's Day so romance isn't high on the agenda at the moment here. Never mind you can't miss what you've never had!
I am now off to catch up on your earlier posts...I don't want to miss out.
Spring almost happened here yesterday. I hope you got some sun too.

What a great post, Thisisme! I love the sweet ones and the funny ones, and the pictures are lovely. My hubby doesn't have a romantic bone in his body, but I don't care anymore because he is faithful, he loves me and I can always count on him. These things are very important to me.

Chatty Crone - glad you enjoyed them!

Becca - thank you my friend.

Bethe77 - I'm with you on the Phyllis Diller quote, although I thought the one about Zsa Zsa Gabor was really funny!

Facing50withHumour - Hi. Missed you! Not much romance around down this way either, I'm afraid! LOL!! No sun down here I'm afraid. Still really dreary. I'm sure I'm suffering from SAD!

Bouncin'Barb - thank you. Sending hugs right back to you.

Belle - Not much romance here either, but I agree with you that there ARE other things that are very important.

Love the sweet and the funny. My husband is still very romantic even after 46 years. Probably more so than I am.

Love the pics and the Agatha Christie quote rocks! I am still smiling after reading it :) Hope you are having a beautiful day.

I love Rita Rudner's line about annoying your husband for the rest of his life! I will try not to do that, of course. I'd rather it be like the picture of the couple on the beach.
I appreciate your sense of humor mixed with beautiful ideas and images.
You are a truly lovely person and I'm so glad to have met you.
