I love it the way her eyes are looking up at me full of trust.
I would just like to say a big "thank you" to all those who have been with me virtually from the beginning, and extend a warm welcome to all my new Followers. I really do appreciate each and every one of you. (((Hugs))).

Makes me miss my grandchildren so. What a wonderful picture of her admiring her grandma. Such a treasure. Blessing I love your quote of the day. I do try to live my life that way.
Grandma - I just love that you and Ruby are color coordinated. YAY! And your necklace is awesome! You need to come accessorize me. :)
That is a great Sunday Snap!
She is beautiful. It is such a blessing to have grandchildren.
Bethe77 - I'm sorry it made you miss your grandchildren. I am so blessed that Ruby and her brother (aged 2) live only 5 minutes away. I am aware that it is such a blessing. My number one granddaughter (who is 13) moved to Paris when she was 6, and I missed her terribly.
SkippyMom - well, of course, I couldn't pose for the photo without being colour co-ordinated! (LOL!).
Belle - you are SO right. They say that grandchildren are God's reward for having children!
What a BEAUTIFUL and PRECIOUS photo!! This is one that little Ruby will keep and treasure forever, I'm sure!
awwww very cute pic :)
I adore her name♥
Becky - it is rather special, isn't it?! I expect you're all getting ready to watch the SuperBowl over there in the U.S.A.!!
lyndylou - thank you!!
Olive - yes, so do I, especially when you say the two names together!!
Ruby Violet...what a beautiful name... She looks so happy to be held by you. Her tiny hand is open, as if she has something she really wants to tell you.
I'm sorry that you have to live apart from your eldest granddaughter. My mom has that problem because I live far from home now. It's just not the same as living close, no matter how much we try to visit, call and write.
I remember Ruby from an earlier post. She's such a cutie! All children start out with that innocent, trusting gaze. Some go on to become oustanding citizens of the world while others take a darker path. In most cases that can be prevented. Every day counts. As the song lyrics remind us, "teach your children well." When your granddaughter comes of age I hope you will remember to show her my favorite movie Ruby in Paradise. Have a splendid day, dear Thisisme!
aw how beautiful
Beautiful little girl and a great statement to live by. Have a wonderful rest of the day.
kneesandpaws - yes, it's a shame when grandparents don't live so close to their grandchildren. They do miss out on such a lot, especially when they're young.
Shady - thank you for your wise comment, as always dear friend. I know that little Ruby will turn out alright. All my grandchildren have got a wonderful mum and dad, that guide them in all the right directions - thankfully. I am going to look up tht film Ruby in Paradise and see if I can order a copy on DVD. How about that?! Hope all is well over there with you dear Shady.
Becca - thank you!
Odie - thank you so much. Hope your weekend has been a restful one (with Rocky!) for you.
What a doll! ... I love how the photographer has captured her expression.
What a beautiful baby! And a pretty precious picture!.
I love the name. Ruby was a what we were going to name Clara for the longest time. For some reason we changed it last minute.
You must have been saying something very interesting! She's absolutely gorgeous :)
Mevely317 - Thank you. Yes, I agree, the photo has caught the expression wonderfully well, which is quite unusual with little babies!
Amy - thank you! How funny that your Ruby became little Clara!
Gawgus things - actually, every time I open my mouth I say something very interesting. It's a gift!!!!
Love your granddaughter and the way she looked at you.
I love blogging and all the gals I've met - including you.
And I love the quote - LIVE NOW!
sandie
She is precious...although I think she looks more like she's thinking: You got any milk in that top?
We appreciate you as well Diane :)
Chatty Crone - yes, it's opened up a whole new world for us, hasn't it?! Glad you liked the quote.
Sandra - LOL!
LindyLouMac - thank you!
Oh, what a precious picture! You're both wearing appropriate colors, too (ruby and violet). :-)
On My Soapbox - thank you! Yes, it was funny how the colours worked out like that!!
