Sunday Snaps!

Hi everyone.  I've got an assortment of photos for you today, and I hope you will enjoy them!
Ruby & Eli having fun in the garden
Eli & Ruby playing with a water feature in the garden
Ruby sitting under the apple tree
Hubby relaxing - which he doesn't do very often!
I made a little video of Alfred whilst I was over staying with my family, and here is Eli watching it!
Photo taken by my granddaughter last week

Eli will be starting pre-school next week, and my daughter is talking about taking him to a hairdresser and getting his hair cut.  I love his long blond hair, so I am trying to talk her out of it!  Okay to just let him have a little trim, but I think it would be far too drastic to cut too much off.  I just think he looks so cute as it is :(

Gorgeous Number 1 Granddaughter!
I hope all my American friends are enjoying their Labour Day weekend, and I hope the rest of you are doing the things you love doing.  Take care, and see you soon.

You and your family are so very lovely. The smiles just lift my heart when I see them. JR had hair like your grandson's [he was born with it long and white blond] and didn't think I could part with it, but he looked so CUTE once it was trimmed. I loved it!

Thanks for the wishes. Love that we have Monday off. Another extra day with the family. Hugs to you. And keep an eye on that mailbox.

What a wonderful selection of pictures, each priceless in its own way! Eli and Ruby couldn't be any cuter and it was so nice to see your hubby for a change, too! Mine also seldom relaxes. I sometimes wonder if he's forgotten how to, but there's always something that needs to be attended to or repaired and he's our Mr Fixit! You always look lovely, Diane and have such pretty blouses! So very feminine! Number 1 granddaughter is fast becoming a young lady! She is very pretty with her lovely smile and blonde tresses! As always, I do so enjoy seeing your beautiful garden. It is so perfectly maintained and I envy you being able to pick fresh apples and strawberries.

Happy September!

Looks like those wee, adorable grandkids are the "apple" of grandma and grandpa's eyes!

What a lovely collection of photos.

I'll be waiting with bated breath for the "after" photo of little Eli.

We, over here in Canada, also have a Labour Day long weekend. I'm hoping to flip the steps leading up to my back porch if the mood moves me - I'll see how I feel when I wake up tomorrow!

I might have to post about it!

Cheers,
Jenny

Lovely photographs of your family.

Eli and Ruby are so cute.

Nice to see your husband relax too, men seem to find it difficult to do!

The photograph of you is great
I love the scene.

Have a great Sunday.

Your husband reading the paper reminds me of my dad who's always studying the paper on the sofa in the living room!

Such lovely photos, Diane! Thank you very much for sharing. Eli and Ruby are so cute, really love Eli's long blond hair.

Enjoy your Sunday!

You have SUCH a beautiful family! I don't blame you for not wanting the little one to have his cute little blonde curls cut off! :) ((HUGS)) to you!

I always enjoy your pictures. They are such sweet children - I can tell from the pics. (Actually, aren't all children precious?)

Precious pics but...

Oh my Dear, his Mommy needs to very much trim his hair. He HAS to look totally like a little boy, when he starts school.

Don't you remember how CRUEL children can be?

I too, love my Grandson's curls. But would not want his Mommy to let them get in-any-way-long.

Just my view...

You have such an adorable family! Love all the photos you share with us. And yes, I am one of your American friends enjoying my weekend! It's cloudy and rainy at the moment, but much cooler temps! Yay! I think fall is arriving....at least tempting us!

SORRY. I should not have been so frank, in my comment here... Concerning long hair on your Grandson, going to school. This is a family matter, and not one, for me to inject my opinion into.

Sorry I'm terribly late, Thisisme. I'm in the midst of a family gathering today and don't have much time. I am learning new words from Gawgus, such as "scrummy" and "piccies." I do love these piccies. Is Ruby holding a bubble pipe? Both children are adorable. My parents always wanted me to have a crew cut and I always wanted longer hair like Eli's. It was an ongoing battle. You have a beautiful garden, beautiful grands, a handsome hubby and you are also a very lovely lady, dear Thisisme!

Love all the photos, looks like Ruby and ELI are sure having a GREAT TIME as always. Thanks for sharing. And yes we are having a Good Labor Day holiday, I will be at work at Wal-Mart as usual. At least I do still have a job, praying for those who do not.

LOVE TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY

What great pictures of your grandbabies. They are just precious. Grandpa looked very relaxed but I do detect he misses his beautiful wife. And your #1 granddaughter is very pretty. She's changing isn't she? And that pretty lady in picture against the railing looks like she's just awesome! Hugs and enjoy every bit.

What beautiful photos of the children. They always look like sweet little angels. That is an amazing view of you on the balcony. What a gorgeous area! You look lovely too!

SkippyMom - Thank you for your lovely comments. Perhaps Eli won't look so bad then! Hope the birthday is going well and that the pressie went down well!!

Bethe - Yes, I have a little sign that says "grandchildren are God's reward for having children."!

Desiree - you are always so kind with the comments that you leave, and it is appreciated! The garden is just about coming to the end of its best now. I will have to re-do all the tubs and hanging baskets with winter flowering pansies in about another month. I guess we are lucky that our husbands want to keep working all the time!

Pearson Report - Hi there Jenny. I didn't realize that you had a long weekend as well. Hope you enjoy it, whatever you decide to do. I loved the comments that you are hoping to flip the steps leading up to your back porch!

Raindrops and Daisies - thank you. I think the little ones are cute, but, of course, I am rather biased!! Hope you've had a lovely weekend my friend.

Duncan = thank you for visiting today. I think reading the paper is a real 'man'thing, as my husband must read every single word. He spends so long reading it!!

Claudia - thank you so much. I was sorry to see that Peter is now in hospital. Poor old thing. Gosh, I hope that they will now be able to get him back to normal again as soon as possible.

EvaMarie - I know. I love his hair as well! :( Hope you've had a lovely chillaxing weekend. (Have you noticed that they are saying that word on one of the adverts now?! I always think of you when I hear it.)

Shelly = the strawberries were yummy! I agree with you, I hope it doesn't end up too short either! We shall see.

Aunt Amelia - yes, I do know what you mean about Eli's hair. My daughter said that a lot of people think he is a little girl now. Hopefully she will just have a little bit cut off at a time! Don't worry about your comment- that's fine, and you're probably right!

Becca - hi there. Hope your little niece is okay my friend. Thank you for your lovely comments.

Gawgus-things - Lovely to see you here today. I know - I couldn't believe it when she said she was going to have it cut. I must show her that photo of him again when he had his little pudding bowl haircut. Perhaps that might change her mind!! He's only three, so I think he could keep them for another year.

Becky - hi there. Hope you're enjoying that long weekend and perhaps getting some writing done. I expect you will be glad to get some cooler temperatures over there. Thank you for your lovely comment.

Shady - that was so kind of you to break away from your family gathering to pop over and leave a comment. Well spotted, yes, Ruby is holding a bubble pipe. They both love blowing bubbles out in the garden. Thank you so much for your lovely comments, dear Tom.

Becky - Hi my friend! I just think his hair is so cute, but I suppose he will have to have it trimmed sooner or later!

Grammy Goodwill - I'm so pleased that you like looking at the photos and you are right - all children are just so precious!

Bouncin'Barb - hallo my awesome friend. Been thinking of you. Yes, granddaughter number 1 is changing. She will be 14 in December! Glad that you liked the photos. Hugs to you.l

Belle - thank you my friend, and thank you for always popping over to leave a comment. Yes, they do look like little angels. That's why I don't want Eli to have his hair cut!! Take care.

rainbow - I;m so pleased you like the photos today. Sorry you've had to work today but, as you quite rightly say, so many people are losing their jobs at the moment, that it is fortunate that you are in work. Thank you for taking the time to come over and leave a comment.

I love pictures. You have a lovely family.
We don't have children, but we helped raise nieces and nephews who live next door. They always bring a smile to my face when ever they come over.
