Sunday Snaps!

Ooops! I'm all behind with my Sunday Snaps today.  Desperation is starting to creep in, so much so that I am now actually starting to trawl through my holiday snaps.

"Oh no!" I hear you cry - "Not the dreaded holiday snaps!"

Most of my older (and I use that word very loosely) bloggy friends will know that I absolutely adore everything about Italy, and have been there many times.  It's actually been far too long since I was last there, so I really must do something about it next year.  Lake Maggiore is one place that I haven't been to, and the lakes in Italy are just so wonderful, that I think that must be my next port of call.

So, today, I have chosen some snaps of Venice and I hope you enjoy them.

Well, I couldn't resist this one, could I?!

Herself in St Mark's Square

Hubby and I, and I just can't believe how slim I look there.  I took hubby there for his 50th birthday, so this was 18 years ago. Eeeek!!

This is Florians - a very famous cafe right in St Mark's Square and, believe me, there is nothing better than sitting outside with a cappuccino and a lovely little pastry, listening to the music and just watching the world go by!

Well, I hope you enjoyed the trip to Venice with me and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Arriverderci!

I feel as if I just traveled to Italy while drinking my morning cup of coffee.

You look beautiful in the photos, but I can't see that you've changed much. I wish I could say the same when I look back at photos from 18 years ago!

Have a lovely time celebrating this week. Hope the meds are making you feel better, my friend.

Always enjoy it when you show us pics of Italy and OMG the famous Diane (18) years ago. Doesn't get much better than that. Happy Sunday my friend.
Hugs,
Odie

I think I spotted a relative" My grandfather was born there. Thanks for the journey. I can't bear to look at pics of me from 20 yrs ago. I was a twig, and now I am tree trunk.

I want to go to Venice! Those were great photos of you with your husband. Venice is such a beautiful place, it was great to see your personal photos of these enchanting spots. Hope you are enjoying this day! Thank you for sharing these memories, Diane!

You and I are in the same boat, Thisisme, if you'll pardon the expression. We both yearn to go to Venice. The difference is that I have never been there. I'm happy to go there today by means of your lovely pictures. It always amazes me how well you and your family photograph. I surely would love dining at that sidewalk cafe because I love to relax and watch the world go by whether it's people milling around streets and shops or boats coming and going on a waterway. Excellent Sunday snaps, dear Thisisme, and I hope you get away on your next holiday very soon! Happy Sunday to you, dear friend!

Joe and I have been to Italy but did not go to Venice. I think I need an entire month there but that is not happening. You two are adorable and lovely snaps.

i hope you are getting plenty of rest in preparation for your surgery. i'm amazed that they didn't just take you right in and remove your appendix.

Wonderful photos. It looks like you had a wonderful vacation, one to remember and cherish even after all these years.

I don't think you have changed a bit in 18 years.

Why can't I see a man who looks like that statue on the beach here? All I get are huge, grossly overweight men in Speedo swimsuits. I'd love to see a man with a butt that looked that way! hahaha. Lovely pictures and I never get tired of looking at your photos. Hugs my awesome friend.

My boy actually comes home from Italy soon.. He has been to Venice and Rome several times in the last year and a half. That is one place in Europe I've never been although I really want to.
