Thankfulness....

Hallo there little peeps!!  This post, I think, is going to be about Thankfulness.

I am thankful today that I feel well enough to switch on my laptop and write a blog post.

I am thankful that I saw Eli & Ruby yesterday.  Their mum has been keeping them away for a bit  because she didn't want their visit to be too much for me.  I keep telling her that I feel so much better in myself, but the trouble is my breathing is still quite bad, and I struggle to talk.

I am thankful that my youngest daughter only lives five minutes away by car, so I usually get to see the little ones all the time.

I am thankful for Eleanor, my granddaughter who lives in France, who was so caring when she stayed with us last week.  She kept telling me to sit down, and that she would do it!

I am thankful that I have been out to lunch with friends recently and able to enjoy a lovely glass of Rose` !

I am thankful for the care and love that I have received from my friends, including all my bloggy friends, who never fail to encourage me with their kind words.

I am thankful for the wonderful summer that we are having here in Devon this year.  As I type this, the sun is again shining in a cloudless blue sky.  Absolute bliss.

I am thankful for the wonderful part of Devon that I live in.  To be surrounded by the Moors on one side, and the sea and wonderful sandy beaches on the other side.  I have tried to be by the water as much as I possibly could because of the gorgeous warm weather we have been having.

I am thankful for my wonderful little family, and especially my hubby, who really has been absolutely amazing all the time that I have been feeling so poorly.  I have to be honest, and say that I have been surprised at just how brilliant he has been.  For sure, I don't know what I would do without him.

Bless him, he has been waiting to go in for an op for several months, and I have kept telling him to chase it up.  My youngest daughter told me yesterday that he has no intention of chasing it up until he knows that I am fully well again.  I thought that was really sweet.

Here is a photo of my three very special grandchildren, that I took last week when they were all here together.

I hope my friends that you have much to be thankful for in your lives too.

Your thankfulness is BIG and beautiful and I am happy you are healing. Your family is pampering you a bit, and you even had lunch and a glass of wine with friends as you move on your healing path.

Hallo, dear Thisisme! It feels good to write those three words again because I missed doing it for so long. My heart jumped with joy when I saw that perfect picture of your smiling grands. They are beautiful children and they love you.

Myriad circumstances interrupt the normal flow of life. Some families are torn apart by hardship. If you are lucky enough to belong to a family that circles the wagons, unites and becomes stronger though adversity, then you indeed have much for which to be thankful. We must not forget our true blue friends in the blogging community which extends to the four corners of the world. Blog friends are real friends. They have caring hearts and eagerly rally 'round us as we endeavor to meet life's challenges.

I am delighted to know that Devon enjoyed lovely weather this summer. My spirits are buoyed knowing that you have felt well enough in recent days to get out and about and enjoy yourself in it. I pray that this "onward and upward" trend continues for you and for my buddy Alfred.

Blessings, hugs and smooches, dear friend Thisisme!

Ah, what a lovely, post! I'm so glad you are getting better, my friend- I've been holding in my prayers often. And the water is such a refreshing restorative place to be. I'm so glad your sweet family, especially your hubs, has been there for you. Now onwards to full health is coming soon!

What a lovely post. Of course there is always, always, always something to be thankful for [love the sign btw!] and you say it so eloquently. :)

Eleanor looks exactly like the little one's big sister. What a darling pic'. Those are some close cousins I suspect. It is easy to see where the get their smiling good natures from Grandma.

Ah, and you husband is such a peach. I am so happy for you that you are feeling better and that he is there with you. YAY for hubs. hee

It would be as easy for me I think to write a similar post too. It is really nice to sit down and write out all we really DO have isn't it?

I truly am so happy that you are feeling better. Please make sure they do something for your breathing tho'. Love you always, xo JG

Hi Thisisme, I'm sorry to be late, but, thankful to see you here. I've been concerned about you even tho we live miles apart...just a hop, skip, and a jump across the pond n'est-ce pas?

I'm glad to know your strength is returning, and what better place to recoup than by the sea-ah, fresh air and beautiful water! Your boat and shore photos have been lovely. I'm sure such beauty will contribute to your well-being.

I feel better myself already. Have a gorgeous weekend my friend. You have a wonderful family-and, they're beautiful! Hugs to you!♥
