The following little Santa I really love, because it is one that we had on our tree at home when I was a little girl. The sleigh rattles, like little sleigh bells!
I love how all the indoor lights reflect in the window below. You can also see some lights from outside as well.
I have always wanted a mantlepiece, especially at Christmas time, and we now have one. They installed the oak one when they installed the woodburner. You can't really see them, but I love the little reindeer lights.
Well, I must say Au Revoir for now and head off to wrap up some more pressies. Hoping, as always, that you are all keeping well and taking good care of yourselves.
See you again soon.

Hi Thisisme! Hope Shady doesn't mind my being FIRST today! I just happen to be playing hookey from work for the rest of the week...still recouperating from our ice storm, and, now must try to catch up for Christmas!
Love your old ornaments...those are the best kind. I have only a few, and still display them proudly-and, no one balks!
Your woodburner and fireplace are so cozy and inviting and I love the reindeer lights on your mantle. How hard it would be for me to move away from that coziness.
A wonderful and warm post indeed! You decorate so beautifully, and the window does reflect gorgeous lights inside and out. Have a great week's end. See you later, dear lady!♥
Beautiful pictures and so festive. I'm still not in the mood so if you could come over here I'm sure I'll find it..hehe. I gave all our old ornaments to Michael and now he's able to enjoy them every year. Very nice post my awesome friend!! XX
Have you already decoratex your tree? Looks lovely
Hallo, dear Thisisme! Tell Suzanne that Shady was out Christmas shopping with Mrs. Shady all day long and she ran me ragged. I just now got home and that's the only reason why Suzanne beat me over here to your blog.
If I can get this comment written in the next 10 minutes, I can still call myself "Same Day Shady" because it's not quite midnight in England.
My goodness, dear friend, you've transformed your home into a Christmas wonderland! I'm sure Eli and Ruby love to visit grandmum when you have such beautiful decorations on display, including that vintage ornament from your childhood. Did you remember to hang a wreath on old Sandy out in the garden? :)
Thank you for showing us your home for the holidays, Thisisme. Please know this. The greatest pressies of all are loyal and loving friends like you.
God bless!
I am bedazzled with your lights and angels and balls and tinkling santa's sleigh. What a Christmas morning you will have with your grandchildren. Sweet dreams about Santa. :)
I love this post. Your decorations are gorgeous.
Of the old ornaments I only have a red plastic Santa and a little wire and gauze angel who is looking a little the worse for wear, but she still goes up each year.
Enjoy your pressie wrapping.

Beautifut -with your help MAYBE I CAN GET EXCITED AND GET SOME DECORATING DONE. I have enjoyed decorating since I was a little little kid. One year I had 3 trees - 7' for the livingroom, 4' for the kitchen and the guys bedroom. Most FUN I ever had. THANKS FOR THE MELODIES!!!
Your decorations are beautiful! I especially like the vintage sleigh on your tree.
Thank you so much for giving us a peek at your holiday decorations! Your tree is beautiful! It's so touching that you still have an ornament from when you were a young girl. I came to the U.S. When I was eleven and, unfortunately, was not able to bring any of ours. We were rather lucky to be able to leave at all! Our previous home didn't have a mantle, and I also longed for one. I was so happy when our new home came with one! I can completely sympathize! You did a wonderful job of decorating it! Now I wanna window seat like yours! That looks wonderful!
