Not Saturday Again, Surely?!

Hallo again everyone.  I don't seem to be posting very much lately, but on looking through Bloggy Land, it would seem that many of us are taking a little break for one reason or another.  I'm not officially taking a break, rather I am running out of scintillating topics to entertain you with!

Emma, Mark and Alfred are here at the moment.  They arrived at 3 a.m. on Thursday morning, and will be leaving again first thing tomorrow morning, so very much a fleeting visit.  Nevertheless, it is still lovely to have them here.  Eleanor is off on one of her United Nations Trips for the weekend.  This time to Amsterdam.  Very nice too!

Eleanor absolutely loves the dynamics of politics in all the different countries of the world, and I told her that it would be a good career choice.  Trouble is, she wants to start at the top!! :)  If she is fortunate enough to get into the University of her choice (Madrid), she will be studying International Relations amongst other things.  I would say that she has had a head start!

Emma took me out for lunch on Friday - sort of a late Mother's Day lunch and an early birthday lunch!  It's always good to spend time with her, and I am so fortunate with both my daughters, as we always talk about everything under the sun.  I am blessed indeed.

As I look out of the windows, I'm sorry to say that it's raining very hard out there again today.  So disappointing, because, particularly at this time of the year when Spring really should be with us, we look for brighter days.  At least the evenings are drawing out now, so that's good.  Onwards and upwards little peeps!

Well, I did warn you at the very beginning that I didn't really have anything exciting to write about!  I hope you are all keeping well and that Spring is appearing in your little corner of the world.

Enjoy your weekend.

Just an FYI for those who camp out on my page, waiting for my pins ;)

Hallo hallo hallo, dear Thisisme, and hallo to my good buddy Alfred! Eleanor wants to start at the top and so shall I. That's a lovely new header for your page, dear friend!

Eleanor never ceases to amaze me. It's so good to see a young person with lofty ambitions that go far beyond becoming the next hip hop singing idol! That young woman has a good head on her shoulders and her fine qualities can be traced to Emma and to you, Thisisme.

That's a very nice picture of you and Emma having lunch. You both look beautiful.

So sorry your English weather's being persnickety. You're wondering if spring is appearing in my little corner of the world? Yessum - 99 degrees in the Shady! :)

It's great to see your smiling face again, Thisisme. Please give Alfred a pat on the noggin and a biscuit for me. Onwards and upwards, dear friend. Hugs and smooches to you and enjoy the rest of your family's visit!

Lovely photos Diane! Your Eleanor is spending her time wisely. While most young girls her age are holed up in their rooms talking on their smart phones or listening to their iTunes 24/7, she's out there paving a path for her future. I know you must be proud!
And so nice to have daughter and son-in-law visit - even for such a short one! I hope you will reveal your birth date on FB so we can wish you a happy one. If not, here's wishing you an early happy one!
Sorry that you're having rainy weather, but you've had such a glorious Spring so far. We're finally warming up. This week has been sunny and has been 80+F.
I finally found that if I access your blog through my Blogger dashboard, I can leave comments. But if I go straight to if from FB, I can't. Strange, isn't it? Have a wonderful and blessed day my friend!

Hi Thisisme. What a fun picture of Eleanor and her colleagues!

Well, I've not been blog writing lately, although I do have a post started, but, I'm managing to do some blog reading. It's always fun to stay up with everyone's news, and happenings all over the world. We've had some spring days, and it is cold today. May have to make my good old chicken soup and noodles this evening.

Have a very nice time with Emma and family-hope Alfred is feeling pretty well. Hey! I thought your husband's Birthday is coming up-now I see it's you, my friend about to turn 37 yrs! You are still prime! See you soon, hugs!

Dearest Diane;
How exciting for Eleanor to go to Amsterdam; I wish I could visit Europe again (*^_^*)
Your picture with Emma is SO lovely; sweet of her taking you lunch♡♡♡

PS> Thank you SO much for your comment. Your country having Queen, I thought Japanese another calender according to the Emperor's reign might interest you, my friend. I understand your comment well. I hope your keyboard trouble will be fixed soon!

Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

That looks like such a happy lunch with mother and daughter. You always have a wonderful smile in pictures. I wish it would rain here and perhaps the grass would green up. It still looks brown and bla.

I say something like your post title often. How can the winter have dragged on and yet I'm surprised it is April already?

I love seeing pictures of your family and as others have said, your smile is wonderful. It lights up the photos.

It does seem that many bloggers have been on hiatus, myself included. I had to get my thoughts adjusted on a few things and then decide I was writing for myself, for the fun of chronicling my life that is good and happy...until I forget myself and allow aggravations to rule.

Banish the blahs and the blues, unless the blues are yarn, paint and glitter! ;)
