It’s quite hard to take photos of birds, as the least little noise or movement, and they’re off, so I was quite pleased with this one.
The woodpecker is a devil to capture, so this one isn’t as good as I would have liked.
The butterflies seemed to be prolific this year, and I do tend to have plants that attract them.
I have a Board on Pinterest entitled Bird Houses, And here are just a few. Aren’t they pretty? I have a vintage caravan from the 60’s in my garden, and I know that the last one would look very attractive hanging beside it!
I suppose I’d better post a couple of Christmas images for you, so here goes ....
I’ll say cheerio again for now - don’t forget ... don’t get your tinsel in a tangle ππ

I love watching the birds come to my yard. I have started putting food out on the deck rails so Marcy and I can see them every morning. Well, I see them every morning and she enjoys them when she's here. :) I would love to have a yard filled with birdhouses and feeders. This morning, I had to get ice out of the birdbaths before filling them with fresh water. LOVE the birdhouses you've found!
Hello Pam. Lovely to see you here. I’m glad that you and Marcy enjoy watching the birds feeding. I have quite a variety in my garden, but I loved it whilst staying in America, as my friends have red cardinals, mourning doves, and hummingbirds, none of which we get over here. Have a lovely week.
Miss Christmas!!
You crack me up, Thisisme! Love your "This Girl Loves Christmas" sign! It fits you perfectly. Good catch on the woodpecker...they are hard to photograph, don't like to sit still for you. I saw a few this summer, but couldn't get any pictures of them. And the butterflies have been plentiful, I love watching them.
What a cute caravan bird house, and the Coca Cola house is my favorite! This is a cute post filled with really great pictures. And, I still like your header photo with the sheep. You had a good idea to get away from the moment and do something different. I just haven't gotten there yet.
I enjoyed your photos of Eli and Ruby at the mystery mansion. The scenes were so enchanting. It is good to see you, have a great almost Christmas week! Sending hugs!
Well, unfortunately I don’t know who you are, Unknown! But thank you for dropping in anyway. ππ π»π
Hello Suzanne, my Texan friend and my number 1 correspondent on my Blog! Yes, this girl loves Christmas! π. I hope your Scootie is getting excited now. The way that country House was decorated was just so beautiful. It was like stepping back in time. Are all your preparations well in hand? I’ve bought all the presents, so I shall do some wrapping this week, and my cards have all been sent. I’m like you, my favourite is the Coca Cola birdhouse. π. Have a lovely week ahead my friend v
Yeah it is the last week of the school year here and stinking bloody hot to boot, I need to sort out my Christmas presents and wrap and bag them up. I really loved all these photos
I love the blue bird house, which has such an inventive use of an old tap! Lovely cheerful post, Diane!
Hello Jo-Anne. Always a lovely surprise to see you here. I bet it is HOT over there. Not sure I could cope with that heat! I’m glad you enjoyed the photos today, and may I take this opportunity to wish you and all your family, a very happy Christmas!
Hello there Penny! Thank you for popping by. I know what you mean about the one with the tap, but all the bird houses are really unusual, aren’t they?! I shall have to look to my laurels in my own garden !!
It's nice to have a little summer surprise mixed in with Christmas greetings. It's been almost like summer this Fall until this past week when we've had the threat of snow. Sadly it came down as nothing but rain and a little sleet mixed in. It's another beautiful sunshiney day here today, but very cold. Hope your weather is Merry and Bright, Diane, just like our favorite season of Christmas!
Well, hello there twin! Lovely to see you here today. you know me - I like to throw in a few surprises π. Summer seems far off now, I’m afraid. I know that you were hoping for snow. It does look very pretty, but I don’t like having to drive in it. We actually had a lovely Fall this year as well., which was a real treat with all the gorgeous Autumn colours. See you soon over on Facebook !
