My lovely granddaughter who lives in France attended the Sonia Rykiel fashion show, which was part of Paris Fashion Week, yesterday with her mum.
She was very excited and, even more so, because representatives of all the top Fashion Houses came up to her, asked her lots of questions and took lots of photos of her. (Or, as she said to me on the phone, "I was papped lots of times, Grandma!".)
Apparently, the people from Elle were very interested and asked her which University she was studying at. She had to explain to them that she was only 13! They were also very interested in little Alfred, their French Bulldog! I don't think her mum was very happy at being pushed to one side. LOL!!
So here are a couple of photos for my Sunday Snap today.

She is beautiful! How exciting to go to a tops fashion show durnign the peek of the fashion season. She does look like a model. The bulldog is cute too.
How is the weatehr there sunshine and pretty? It was cloudy and a bit gloomy here in the PNW. But I know Spring is around the corner I saw signs of blooms today as CK girl and I walked.
Blessings
Wow This - I can see why they thought she was at University. Wallene is the same age and [thank goodness] no one would mistake her for more then her age.
Your granddaughter is stunning. Please tell her I LOVE the hat - I know why they were so interested, so gorgeous.
Hope you all have a great week - I love your Sunday snaps. Great part of my day on Sundays.
Thank you.
A fashionista in the making! :)
Wow .. she certainly does not look 13... at all..... no wander Elle were asking her about uni.. yep a beautiful girl .. :-) :-)
Bethe77 - Thank you. Isn't it wonderful to see signs of spring appearing. It just seems to have been such a long winter this year for some reason!
SkippyMom - glad that you are enjoying my Sunday Snaps! She is still my little girl though, and, thankfully, has a wonderful, caring nature and is not precocious at all. I couldn't stand that!
Gawgus-things - yes indeed, but she is much too caring for that sort of profession methinks!!
Anne in Oxfordshire - I think it's just because she is so tall, with her long legs!! (Much taller than me of course!!).
What an ego boost for her! She looks lovely :)
Your grand's got the look, Thisisme. If you hadn't revealed her age I would have guessed that I was looking at a 20-something woman of the world. I wish her all the best in life. I'm always happy to see pictures of my buddy Alfred! Have a fine Sunday, dear friend!
She is so very beautiful!! LOVE the hat!! And that little dog is soooo precious!! :)
What a beauty! I enjoyed hearing about her experience. The second picture reminds me of my trip to Paris when I was 16. It was a moment in life when all things seemed possible.
A future model then :) To live in Paris, to have access to fashion shows, great teens :) Sunshine here too, love spring!
lyndylou - it's a real good experience for her growing up in Paris.
Shady - thank you. Alfred says a big "Hello!".
Becky - I think it was the hat that did it! LOL!
kneesandpaws - Oh to be 16 again!! No, seriously, I wouldn't want to be that age again. The youngsters these days seem to have so much more pressure than I ever did.
Claudia - Glad you've got the sunshine there! It's still bitterly cold here.
Wow a candidate for Frances Next Top Model without a doubt a stunning young lady.
I love the whole outfit your granddaughter is wearing. Tres Chic! Looks like she may end up being a famous model!
LindyLouMac - She obviously takes after her grandma - NOT!! LOL!
Belle - I didn't know you could speak French!
Yes she is a beautiful young lady and easy to understand how it could be confusing & get them excited too early. Many of todays young teens are taller & developing their curves earlier making them look much older. You certainly should be very proud of her.
Wow, how exciting for her to be thought of by these folks. Poor Mom....haha. She is a beauty and again I say she looks like her Grandma. That dog is too cute!!!
Odie - yes, of course, I am very proud of her. She obviously dressed the part because of where she was going. But you are right, they seem to mature so much quicker these days! Fortunately, she is very much a sweet-natured young girl and has her feet firmly on the ground!
BouncinBarb - yes, it was all a bit of fun. Her mum did say, though, that after a while she got a bit bored, and said "can we go home now?". After all, a girl can only take so much excitement in one day!! Little Alfred really is a little cutie and will be coming to stay with us at the beginning of April.
she is absolutely beautifully stunning! i can see why they wanted to talk business with her! she looks so stinkin cute in that hat and sunglasses!
What a stunning young girl, definetely a famous model when she is going to be older! And those long legs, to DIE for! Definetely gets her looks from grandma :D lots of love
Teresa - thank you so much! I love that remark "looks so stinkin cute!!". I suspect she is reading all these comments, so she will be well chuffed!
Anonymous - thank you so much for visiting my blog. Lovely to have you here, but NO! - she certainly DOESN'T take after her grandma, I'm sorry to say - not in looks anyway. She's far more beautiful!!
