What Is Going On?!

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who is wondering what on earth is going on with the weather at the moment.  We have already been saying prayers for Australia and New Zealand, and now we have this terrible Tsunami following the quake in Japan.

Apparently, a Tsunami warning has been extended across the Pacific to North and South America.  Already 200 - 300 bodies have been found in the port city of Sendai in Japan.  A passenger train was washed away in another port and a ship carrying 100 people was swept away.

All this makes me feel very sad and I am just so very grateful to live in this quiet county of Devon here in England where, although we have the sea all around us, we have never experienced anything like this.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the poor people affected by yet another tragedy.

YES! This is so very sad. My hubby and I were watching this last evening on the news. It was horrible. Have been praying. Had the TV set on all night long. The Tsunami is hitting our coast line this morning. They have been evacuting since wee hours in the morning. Im worried about a niece who is stationed in Guam. God is faithful and good. I will be stading with the many in the world who are praying.
Blessings

Bethe77 - do hope that your niece will be alright. It seems to be getting worse as I'm watching it on the news. Utter devastation, and terrible! They will need all our prayers, that's for sure.

Bruce - good to hear from you. It's almost beyond comprehension really, isn't it?

Kristina - you're quite right. Mother Nature certainly seems to be in a pretty volatile mood right now.

Katherine's Corner - thank goodness that your sister and her family are all safe. It must all be very frightening for them though. Take care over there.

Laura - thank you so much for becoming my newest Follower. I look forward to getting to know you! Yes, the happenings in Japan are simply terrible. Just too terrible to take in really.

SkippyMom - isn't it just too terrible for words really. You take care dear friend.

Claudia - yes, I have already read your thoughts. I suspect that most of the world are thinking of Japan at the moment.

Tragedy on such a massive scale! Over and over! My husband keeps suggesting that the earth is experiencing a magnetic pole swap. Who in this world really knows what's going on? If we knew, would we be able to control it? I'm praying for Japan and for everyone who is affected.

kneesandpaws - your husband could quite be right. Something must be causing it. But, as you say, if we did know, would we be able to stop anything. It really is just too awful then, and we must pray for all those affected. Take care.

My husband has said somthing about the earth's magnetic core and polar shifts too. I am sorry for anyone who has to go through events like these.

Belle - I just pray that nothing else is going to occur in another part of the world. We've had enough tragedies over the past couple of months.

Becca - It's all we can do really.

Susan - yes, you take care too. We have a lot to be thankful for, don't we.

Chatty Crone - you feel so helpless really, don't you?

On My Soapbox - yes, that's the frightening thing - how life can change in seconds. It really does bring it home just how fragile life really is.

The men are obviously much more scientific in their response to Mother Nature being in such turmoil, as my husband also says it is sad but does not surprise him considering what the earth is made of. :(

We wonder, we hope, we pray.
Let us be kind to each other in every way we can.

I know, it's horrible! My mother is in Hawaii right now, so it's hitting even closer to home than it normally would.

Southhamsdarling said...

LindyLouMac - yes, it's funny how the men are looking at it so logically!

One Woman's Thoughts - I so agree with you about being kind to each other. We all need kindness in the world right now.

Sandra - eeek! that's a bit too close to home, isn't it. Thankfully I think Hawaii was alright in the end. Do hope your mum is okay.

I have been discussing this with many people and they all say this sort of this is supposed to happen every couple of hundred of years. I just wish that it was all over right now and we can start re-building.

I hope our thoughts, prayers and positive thoughts will help in some way...Thank you for sharing yours.

Best wishes always,
Natasha.
