Where Has It Gone?!

You might be wondering "where has what  gone?"  Well, I shall tell you!  My inspiration for writing interesting blog posts, that's what!  It seems to have completely deserted me for a moment.  Mind you, it might be because I am suffering from cabin fever, having hardly been outside the front door for the past three weeks.

I am hoping that next week, things will gradually begin to  get back to normal.  On Monday, I am meeting a friend for lunch.  Good company, good food, and a nice glass of wine seems as good a place as any to start.

We are in the process of altering things in the garden and have just ordered a new Arch, along with an Arbour.  As we're having the wedding reception in the garden in June, I am making the most of the situation with hubby, saying that we want the garden looking at its best!

Now, I have decided to present my very own Fantastic Blog Award.  There is ONLY ONE thing that the recipient of this Award has to do, and, that is, to post a photo of themselves at their computer whilst blogging!

Here are the people that I would like to present this Award to :

I'm not sure whether to thank you or not! I'll have to do my hair, make-up and wear something that makes me look 30 lbs. smaller! This may take a few days, weeks or months. I will try to hurry though. Thank you Thisisme.
By the way, I love the arch. The wedding will be so lovely in your garden!

Thisisme I love the picture of the Arche for the graden it is beautiful. i sure do understand cabin fever. It is really getting tough. My sister wants me to go to Candian with her. But I missed much to much work this past week to take more time off. I just went back today. It took alot out of me. I was thinkg that would have been a ncie way to break the cabin fever. I think lunch and glass a wine sounds wonderful with a friend. It will be nice to hear about your outing.
Hope you ahve an awesome weekend.
Blessings

It sounds to me like you need to peruse garden catalogues! It is a nice "escape" on these cold winter days. I can't wait to get out and garden, but there's no sign of life out there yet.

Your garden will look lovely with the new additions. And I am totally with Belle re the photo! Ha ha ha watch this space :)

Belle - have the photo taken in your P.J's if you like! I don't want all these photos of people looking like models - I want to see you real you! LOL!

Bethe77 - what a pity that you can;t make that trip with your sister. It would have been a lovely break for you, especially as you have been feeling so poorly. I do hope that you are feeling much better now, but you are right, it certainly does take it out of you.

On My Soapbox - that's a good idea actually, about the garden catalogues! Nice to hear from you! My garden IS starting to come to life now and I know that it will be looking lovely by the beginning of April.

lyndylou - thank you. I thought the photo thing was something a bit different!

Thank you for the award! I'm like Belle, tho... and feel like I need to make sure I am looking my best for the photo! Haahaa! What a clever idea for an award! Should I use my computer camera or have someone take my photo? Which do you prefer? I haven't even used the camera on this laptop yet! This is a good reason to try it out! :)

Ok. I did it!! Just for you!!! :)

Your garden is lovely! I love the arch, what a great design. And congratulations to all the wonderful bloggers who received the award!

And I thought you were so special and sweet? Ha! Just kidding sweet lady. That is truly a genuine idea and I will oblige. If I lose followers though, it's all your fault! Love the garden and I too am stuck for something to write. I want something fun! Love the garden ideas. The wedding will be beautiful. Hugs!!

Can I post a photo of my nude lion taming act instead? (LOL) It's guaranteed to raise your eyebrows, Thisisme, because not a single lion is wearing a stitch of clothing! (LOL)

There's nothing quite as beautiful as an English garden in the late spring and arches and arbors are delightful accents.

As for lacking blog inspiration need I remind you that nobody is demanding that you post something every single day? I post only once every three days and I still feel the pressure. Your friends will all be here if you decide to scale back and take some days off. Your health and sanity must come first, dear friend!

With Linda's assistance I will see what I can do for you my sweet friend. You do have a lovely garden area and I am sure it will be awesome for the wedding. Have a great rest of the weekend and don't worry about having some wonderful theme for a blog, just being here is great for us.

For once I am really grateful that my blog is award free, not that you would have picked me of course :)
Great opportunity to have a good spend in the garden while your husband has no excuse. As for your blogging well I think you have been pushing yourself posting every day, then not being well, etc, etc. Just relax and write when you feel the urge, it is meant to be a pleasure not a chore.
Have a good weekend. xx

oooooh, can we renew our vows in your lovely garden - how beautiful. I can't wait to see all the pics.

And thank you so much for the award - how fantastic. :D

[PS- I know what you mean about not having inspiration - I swear if I didn't have a kid that lived at home or a husband that worked I would have nothing. :D Hope you get out and about soon.]

Becky - That's brilliant that you have decided to join in, and it's a really good photo of you. Don't you see that it's a cunning way for me to see all my friends!!

kneesandpaws - glad you like the garden. Thanks for popping by!

Bouncin'Barb - Hee Hee!! I'm just hoping that everyone will be willing to join in. I thought it was time for something different from these 7 things to tell about ourselves!

Shady - NO! You're not getting away with your nude lion taming act. (LOL!). I want to see the real you! (And I don't want a photo of Mr Universe either. I want Tom Anderson!!). Thank you for the good blogging advice.

Odie - thank you so much, as always, for your sweet comments. You're a real encouragement to your blogging friends.

LyndyLouMac - Yes, this is a real cunning wheeze on my part to get the garden looking how I want it, isn't it, and the other half is just going along with everything! LOL! Thank you for the blogging advice, and you're quite right, of course. You know that I would have picked you for this Award, but I knew that you were a blog free zone :(

Skippy - it would be super to have you here in our garden. Wouldn't that be something?! It seems as if there are a few of us struggling a bit with our posts at the moment. My daughter keeps telling me that I'm not going to lose followers if I don't post so often!

I hear ya about the inspiration thing. I have had minimal inspiration or drive lately, or the energy so I have been a bit of a slacker. I love your blog award! What a great idea! Have a lovely rest of your weekend.

Southhamsdarling said...

Chatty - I await the photo with bated breath!! Thanks for joining in.

mskanorado - it's funny with this inspirational thing at the moment, isn't it? Several people seem to be having the same problem. Let's hope we all revive fairly quickly!!! Hope you're having a good weekend.

Oh thank you so much for the award. I will post the closest pic (painting effect taken on my sister's Samsung Fascinate phone) until I can get hubby to take one of me...

The arch looks so nice and you yard looks like a park! Hope you enjoy the wine (I know I did when my back was hurting and when I recovered and then to celebrate when the taxes were done...and when our friends came to BBQ...

Just call me "wino"
