Farewell To Natasha at 5 Minutes Just for Me

I have been admiring the beautiful photos at the header of some of my  friends' Blogs, thinking how wonderful they were.  So much so, that you will see that I have made my own inadequate little effort at trying to compose a lovely picture and am now revealing my new look Blog! Ta Da! Hope you like it, although I suspect it might confuse a few of you when you first open it up!  I've been blogging for almost six months now, so time for a change I thought.

In part, this new photo is in honour of my dear blogging friend from Australia, Natasha at 5 Minutes Just For Me.  The photos at the top of her Blog and those in her actual posts were always nothing less than stunning, and I often told her so!

Imagine my surprise when reading my blog roll yesterday, to find a post from Natasha, saying "Goodbye".  I'm sure she won't mind me sharing with you her thoughts - Natasha had well over 700 Followers, so she was a very well thought of blogging friend.

Natasha explained that her and her family were off to the beach for a break this weekend, and all she could think of was how was she going to manage her blog whilst she was away - when would she get back to everyone; she would still have to leave comments etc. etc.

Natasha was also thinking about her Sunday Song feature, which she started up and which so many people linked up to, to listen to all the wonderful different songs each Sunday.

She decided that enough was enough, that she was going to have to spend more time with her family and friends and that meant getting away from the computer!

Natasha didn't leave an opportunity to comment with that particular post, but I am pleased to say that people have started going to her older post and have left lovely comments for her there.  I explained that I knew exactly where she was coming from, and that I certainly couldn't be going on my blogging journey if I had a young family to cater for as well.

Anyway, I wish Natasha well.  I hope she can now enjoy her family and friends to the full - she is not disappearing, because she said that she will still be reading her favourite blogs.

Here is the beautiful header from the top of Natasha's blog :

It pains me to finish on a downbeat note, but just what is going on with the weather at the moment?  Last week, we had lovely sunshine all week, and the temperatures were rising.  Now, just a week later, as I write this, the snow has been falling heavily for the past few hours here in Devon , and they have forecast that it is going to be snowing heavily all over this coming weekend.  Eeeek! My family from France are due to arrive here next Friday, so I do hope that it will have cleared by then :(

It's hard to believe it's April, isn't it, looking at all that snow.

omg! More snow, uggg I have truly had enough of the stuff! Sorry to hear about your friend, sometimes you have to take a break just to clear your head but you will probably find that she will come back to blogging just not as intensely as before :)

We all need to guard against burnout, Thisisme. That's why I have done away with the labor intensive music theme of my own blog and taken it in a completely new direction. Come see, dear friend!

Your header is beautiful, and very inviting. It makes me feel like I am vising you in your lovely home. I'm sorry you're having snow. It seems like you were just out mowing your pretty lawn! Sending you sunshine from North Carolina...

Love your Love sign! I was just thinking yesterday if I could find another since you so liked it when I had my give away, but now you have one!
Indeed, sad to see that Natasha has stopped, I've send her an email, I hope she will return one day to blogland.
Hope the snow will melt soon, enjoy the weekend, oh, and your comment from yesterday made me smile, big time, thank you so much!

I will miss her too Thisisme and I told her so by email. At least we can still communicate. When will the snow end? I thought my friend Jenna in upstate NY was in the clear with new lambs being born on her "cold antler farm" and now they are calling for up to 12 more inches. Your picture is pretty but not a welcomed sight. Stay warm & safe my friend.

Oh wow!! Your blog is so beautiful! I LOVE the photo at the top!!! VERY pretty!! ~ I am sad to hear that Natasha will no longer be blogging, but I understand her decision, completely! Family always comes first! I am having a hard time keeping up with READING all of my blogs! (I guess this is why I did not know that Natasha was leaving! Oops!) ~ Natasha, if you are reading this.... please forgive me! I wish you well and hope to continue to keep in touch with you through my blog! ((HUGS)) ~ This... it is cold here, as well! No snow for us. Just rain. But, our friends and family in the northern states are getting the snow! NOT FUN! Hopefully, Spring will return soon for all of us! :)

When I popped over I forgot where I was for a minute. heehee - that is a lovely header. The flowers are gorgeous.

And yep! The snow stinks, our New England is getting hit hard as I write this - but hopefully for all of you it will warm up in April.

PLEASE! [We are lucky as we only have rain and cold, no snow.]

Some days it is hard to keep up with visits and comments but to do so and manage a family -phew! managing Hubby is enough for me.
No comment about the snow other than we've got almost six inches here too in Staffordshire and I'm back in my winter woolies.
By the way I keep meaning to tell you that I adore your new header. It is absolutely fabulous (like you)
HAFD - work it out if you can ;)

It is amazing for me to see the snow there again! I guess the weather all over the world is changing, and not for the better.

I love your new page. It is so bright and cheerful - just like you.
I can understand your friend also. I want to follow and comment on everyone who follows and comments on my blog. The list is getting large and some day soon I won't be able to do that :( But I will stick with my first friends like glue.

Hi! I am following from the Weekend Blog Hop! I didn't see your old blog design, but I love this one! :) I hear you on the snow! We are fed up with here in the interior of BC, Canada too! What a lovely post about your blogging friend. I understand too, blogging can be so time consuming, and take away from your family.
Cheers!

And as you well know, my comment on Natasha's decision to say Good Bye, is how come we Net-met. :-) You saw my comment, liked it, and came over and introduced yourself to me! :-)

My comment was like... It's wise to know when to start a project, and wise to know when to end a project.

I understand how she realized that she was toooooo tied up in her blogging. I so understand. It comes on me too, now and then. But the big difference is... Like you said.... You and I are not at the same small children and family stage of life. This makes a lot of difference, if we have more time, to follow our own pursuits.

But even with all the time I have, I still get that... "Oh Oh Too Much Blogging" feeling, now and then. And have to step back and punt, as we say. :-)

Being so very new here, this beautiful blog look is all I know. It's just lovely, and welcoming, and soft, and pretty and spring like and just marvelous.

Hehhhhhhhhh... You have snow too! Actually here, it's never all gone away. We still have some snow cover and it's quite depressing. I'm sure yours will all be gone soon though.

Oh, must go check on Cherry and see if she got snow in her part of the UK, too! Do you know Cherry? You can get to her place, by clicking here. :-) And there, you can find her blog. Her whole place [blog and site] is just a treasure! Hope you'll bounce in to see her some time. Tell her "Aunt Amelia" from 'across the pond,' sent you. :-)

Gentle hugs...

I can't believe you are having snow! I can see that one could get bogged down with bloggging. I'm only relatively new to it, have only a handful of lovely followers and I am addicted. It was so bad this week that I got a call from my daughters school asking if I was coming to pick my daughter up! What a bad bad mummy!I guess you have to pace yourself? Thankyou for calling in to see me and leaving a comment. Yes I know Ina's house is the stuff of dreams and I love how simple it is. Have a great weekend Diane, snow or no snow, love Linda x.

Love your header photo. Am amazed by your photo of snow, we haven't had any in Derbyshire. I always like coming across other UK bloggers, and am off for a further look at your blog.
Visiting you from the no rules blog hop.

I love the way your blog looks. Yeah, we have snow too and it is supposed to be spring. Bah!!! I do not think I could handle 700 followers. I only have 69 with two blogs and many of them only comment on occasion.

flowers on my table - I did smile when the school phoned you up!!!! I'm afraid that this blogging does get very addicted, and you will find that as you get more followers, you will have to put more time to it than ever! The upside of course is that we meet such really lovely people.

Nancy - thank you SO much for stopping by, and especially for becoming one of my Followers. I appreciate that!

On My Soapbox - that photo of my garden was taken in early December when we did, indeed, have snow!!

DonnaB - I;m so glad you like the photo. I only took it a few days ago. It's the window sill in my dining room.

melody-mae - I am so glad that you popped over to my blog, and thank you for becoming a Follower!! Yes, I am sure that Natasha's blog will be missed by lots of us. She always left such warm comments too.

Jewel - I agree, it is always lovely to come across Bloggers from the U.K.! I'm afraid the snow bit of my post was an April Fool's joke :)

Garnetrose - I#m so pleased you like my new-look Blog. Time for something fresh I thought! I certainly couldn't cope with 700 followers! The number you have is just about right!

You are just the sweetest thing! It is beautiful people like you who inspired me to try to keep going with my blog but to just slow down and blog less regularly. I have definitely down that and am enjoying life again. Your friend lyndylou (2nd comment) was spot on wasn't she! I have since heard of many people who have bloggy burn-out but who eventually come back. I missed it too much and just couldn't give up on something that meant so much to me and lead me to beautiful people like you!

Thanks so much for this beautiful post. I will never forget it.

Best wishes always,
Natasha.

Natasha - Hi! I did wonder if you would ever get to read this post, but I'm glad you did. There were some lovely comments, don't you think, and every single one of us understood exactly where you were coming from. Hopefully you have got the balance just right now!! Take care dear friend.
