That's very sweet of you! I'm further north than the worst storms, but we are still getting storms nearly every night. Thankfully nothing too bad. My thoughts and prayers are with the families!
I'm worried too, Thisisme! More than 200 dead so far. I am well to the south of the storm system this time but have friends and family in Alabama, the Carolinas and back home in Pennsylvania which is currently under a tornado watch.
We (coastal SC) are going to get the strong winds and rain later today and tonight. I am praying for Jilda and Rick who live in Alabama. Hope they are ok. Thanks This!!!
Oh, my goodness, Diane! I would not have known about this were it not for your post! I haven't been near the TV or seen or heard the news for days...I join everyone else in hoping all those we know are safe. The whole world's weather patterns are really upsidedown of late.
Jumble Mash - it's not nice at all, is it?! I wonder what's causing it all.
Shady - it must be really worrying for you, having friends and family in the areas being hit by the storms. Let us pray that they will pass over soon without too much further damage. Keep yourself safe dear friend.
Gawgus - I know! We can't imagine it when we're being bathed in sunshine.
Bouncin'Barb - Oh dear, batten down the hatches BB! Gosh, I hope Jilda is okay, as they say Alabama is the worst area. Hugs to you.
Katherine's Corner - It really must be very worrying, and they say that it could get worse. I am so glad that I live in a relatively mild area weatherwise! Warmest wishes to you.
Desiree - it really is strange how the weather is all upside down all over the world this year, what with Australia, New Zealand and Japan, and now this. Let's hope it will all calm down soon, but it must be devastating for all those affected.
Yesterday we got some strong showers and last night so far all day today it has been very windy but only wind. I really feel for the poor folks south of us that lost so much. Odie
How sweet of you Thisisme. It is so sad and devasting. My prayers go out across the air waves for them all. I actually need to call some friends and family to make sure they are safe and well. As they live in the area. Praying for them. Havent heard anything so Im going to take that as good news. The pictures they are showing are so ..... words cannot be said. Lord be with our friends family and all thsoe in the devasted areas Lord. Thank you Thisisme. Do you have yoru comfy chair picked out for the wedding this day? Blessing to you
Very little sleep due to all the lightning but we just had squalls so we are thankful. Thanks so much for your concern. So many have lost so much and many have died in tornadoes and flooding.
Hi This ~ We survived the awful storms! It was a long, scary night, tho! You will have to read my post that I just wrote. ((HUGS)) to you and thank you so much for your prayers!
Odie -I am so glad that you and your family are all safe.
Bethe77 - yes, we must send our prayers out to them all. YES, I have my comfy chair all picked out. Not long now = I'm getting pretty excited!!
Mountain Mama = again, I am so glad that at least you and your family haven't been hit by the dreadful storms.
Olive Cooper = It must have been very frightening. I pray that the storms will soon pass, before any further loss of life occurs.
Aunt Amelia's Attic - so glad you're okay. As you say, your poor country. Take care.
Becky - I know that you were very worried about the tornados, so I am so thankful that you survived the night, although I can only guess how scary it must have been for you!
Chatty - so pleased that you were not affected. NO! We do not get tornados where I live. We often have a little moan about the weather (as is the British way!) but we are so fortunate. We don't have anything like that to contend with. Enjoy the wedding!
lyndylou - although we often complain about our weather, it makes you realize just our fortunate we are really. We don't get tornados or earthquakes or anything really bad like that. Hope that you, Jack & Holly are keeping well up there in Scotland!
Thank you This. There assessing the damage here now. The sun finally came out after about 15 hours of storms and tornado warnings.
Poor Squirrel [who is at college] called at 4 am because she was scared - they had them there too. They are all safe and sound but you feel so helpless when you can't BE there.
Hopefully the damage and death toll will stop rising. I dread watching the evening news.
Thank you for your lovely thoughts. You're the best.
What heartfelt sentiments - you are so kind and thoughtful.
Up here in Canada things aren't so bad. But we've been watching, with concern and sadness at what's going on down south from us - it's not looking so good.
I was only talking to my sister today about the storms and she was saying that she was glad we don't know anyone over there and I said I have blog friends in America and she is like but you don't really know them......can tell she doesn't blog as even though we have never met I still feel like I know my blog friends.....and I do hope any that are in the affected area are safe and sound.
Thank you so much for thinking of us Diane. We are safe here in NC, with a newly created tornado shelter, which is just a cleaned out pantry under the steps. Thanks to your blog, and a comment by Becky, I'm now going to stock it with bike helmets. You never know, but you could be responsible for saving our heads! P.S. I am going to be watching the BBC's version of the Royal Wedding tonight since I missed the live event. I was thinking how nice it would be for American young people to have public figures like William and Kate to look up too.
kneesandpaws - WoW! That's cool to know that I may have saved your heads at some time in the future!! LOL! Seriously though, it's amazing how we can pick up things from other peoples' blog posts. I am so glad that you are all safe and sound. I adored the royal wedding, and you can't really beat the BBC coverage. I think that William & Kate are going to be amazing for the Monarchy. They can relate so much to the ordinary people in the street and that is such a good thing. Thankfully,William has got a lot of his mum in him!
You are always thinking of others, so kind. My mum used to say a litlle prayer to keep us safe, I am not sure where it comes from. "Everlasting arms of love, are beneath, around, above." Changing the subject slightly, yes I most certainly did watch the Royal Wedding. It was just wonderful, as you say. The couple looked so happy and everything was so much more relaxed than Diana's wedding. I think lessons have been learned. I loved the trees in the Abbey, they just softened the whole image. Just lovely. Enjoy your weekend Diane. love Linda x
DH's sister was right in the middle of it. Fortunately, the family and their house are fine. However, they still do not have any electricity. We're so glad they're safe!
When my siters, mom and I heard about the tornados we were horrified. I feel so badly for the people affected and yes, I was worried for my blog friends. May God help everyone there.
Belle - the tornadoes really were horrendous. Utter devastation caused in 45 seconds can you believe?! As you say, prayers for everyone in the areas affected.

Awful isn't it. Such a difference from the weather we've had. 200 dead - how horrendous :(

Thank you much, Dear One. There is terrible storm damage, in parts of our Beloved Country. But happily, not where we live.
We are in the NE and we've just gotten lots of rain, and T-storms.
My heart goes out to all those in the storm struck areas too.
Gentle hugs,
~♥~

Do you have tornados out your way?
I'll be watching the wedding tomorrow.
HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY.

It's been some scary weather. Thankful that my family and friends are okay. Praying for all those affected.
Those of us that are safe and still have a home are truly blessed. There is so much devastation in so many places. My heart goes out to all of them.

Oh dear, I had no idea. It seems like this year has been scattered with bad news from the weather forecast. I also hope the people over there are ok.
