A wonderful idea and you have such a nice writing! And I must join Desiree to ask about the event? Did it went well? Actually I am sure it did. And do enjoy your time and take lots of pictures :) Many many smiles!

It's wonderful to see your handwriting, Thisisme. Thank you for taking the time to write that note. It makes you seem more "real" to me if you know what I mean. By sheer coincidence a friend of mine who lives in Paris has arrived in Devon. Her name is Gawgus. Wouldn't it be a hoot if the two of you crossed paths? :) Have a wonderful weekend with your family, my dear friend!

It was great getting the message today in your handwriting. You wouldn't want to see mine and would need an interpreter so I will stay with this format. Have fun with the family and take some great photos please.

What a precious idea for a post! Must try to find out how this is done.

Enjoy your time with family!

That quote, about life being short so eat dessert first ---- Only gals as cute and tiny as you are, can follow that rule. -giggles-

She who doesn't feel like even trying to put pictures in a post... -pout-

I love this posting and you do have lovely handwriting, or 'penmanship' as we used to refer to it when I was a young girl. It's sad so many have lost the art of putting pen to paper.
How lovely you have some time to enjoy the family...I'll be thinking of all the Gawgus things you might be doing!

Desiree - thank you!! Yes, please carry on holding thumbs, so that, hopefully, the weather will improve a lot for us! I will do a quick post re. the cream tea for tomorrow. Hugs to you too my friend.

Claudia - I thought it was something a bit different! You will see what I have said to Desiree (above) about the cream tea.

Linda - thank you so very much!

Shady - you made us both laugh with your comment today. Yes, a hoot indeed my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed the hand-written note, and hope that all is well with you.

Odie - I'm sure your handwriting is fine! I will try to take some photos and, hopefully, the weather will get better for us.

Colenic - Hi there my friend. There's your little smiley face again. Isn't it cute?! Thank you for your lovely comment. Hope you're getting lots of smiles today.

Orchid - thank you so much for your good wishes to my time being spent with the family. Perhaps the handwritten note is something that everyone could do!!

Becca - I think it's lovely that you still send handwritten notes. I think they mean so much more than e-mails. Thank you for always popping by.

Aunt Amelia's Attick - your comment made me smile today! It's easy. You just write the letter and scan it onto your computer. Then save it in My Pictures and then insert it into the blog as you would any image. It must be easy if I can do it!!!

SkippyMom - sorry to hear that you are still broken! Hee Hee!

vintch - thank you my friend. Yes, it will be wonderful to spend time with the family again :)

Bethe - I was hoping that the handwriting would be a surprise for you all! I think it would be a lovely idea if everyone wrote just one post by hand!

Sush - gosh, yes, we did used to call it penmanship, didn't we?! My dad used to sit with me for hours practising my writing (he used to have lovely handwriting). Very clever comment there about all the gawgus things we might get up to!

Retired English Teacher - thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Lavi - hallo! Lovely to see you here today. Thank you for dropping by and for your very nice comment.

dubgirl - you are definitely right my friend. I used to love it when a letter used to drop through the letter box. But that doesn't happen any more :( Hope the weather is getting better for you in M.K.

This is so special! Getting a handwritten blog entry is fabulous! What a great idea! Once of these days I might do something similar IF I remember! ;) Enjoy your time with your family and I look forward to hearing about your event!

Bouncin'Barb - thank you my friend. Likewise, I fully reciprocate those sentiments, and I was so glad to see how happy you were today!!

Kristina - yes, I think it would be quite a novel thing to do, if everyone could write a handwritten post! Hope all is going well with preparations for the move.

What a lovely note. I don't know how you managed to write it. I would still be recuperating from all the wedding planning and fun. (Plus I don't know how to scan anything, and I'm guessing that's how you got it on here.)

Chatty Crone said...

What a sweet note - and more sweet company. Was that really your hand writing - how did you do that?

Southhamsdarling said...

Granny Goodwill - thank you for popping by today. Yes, just scanned my written piece of paper and saved it to My Pictures, then just inserted it as an image to my blog in the same way as you include a photo .

Chatty - yes , that really was my handwriting! See instruction above ! Thanks for popping by my friend.

Too cute! And right up my alley. You do have a knack for creativeness Thisisme. We need to get back to the basics. A handwritten greeting is so personal, and love your poem. Have a great visit with your family and Alfred!

Thank you for the letter. It reminds me of when my mom and I used to write each other when she lived in California and I lived in Canada. I loved getting letters.
Have a wonderful time with your dear family.

Susan - thank you my friend. I love handwritten notes and letters. It just seems so much more caring somehow.

Belle - how lovely that you and your mum used to write letters to each other. That is so special.
