Stay Calm Thisisme. Come on now - breathe!

This is your friend, thisisme, trying to hold it all together!! Hee Hee!

As I type this, I am listening to Vivaldi's Four Seasons - music for the soul!  I am lucky in that I love all genres of music, apart from heavy metal! Although, of course, being the age that I am, I'm a real sucker for all the 60's music, as it takes me back to the heady days of my youth.

We had a surprise early on  Saturday evening, as the bride to be turned up, with our future son-in-law and the two little ones.  It was a lovely balmy evening, so I suggested opening a bottle of champagne, (as you do!) and we sat in the garden having a pre-wedding celebration.  The two little ones were running around, generally having a lovely happy time, and at that moment I felt very blessed .  The only thing missing of course, was our family from France, but they will be here very soon now, if only for a few days.

The main reason for them popping down was to give us a card thanking us for all our help and support during the many preparations for their wedding.   They said that the garden looks beautiful and all our hard work is much appreciated.  They went on to say that they are really excited and looking forward to us all celebrating together.

They gave us a present each, and this beautiful bunch of flowers which came from the Florist who will be doing the flowers on the wedding day.  The colours are so soft and summery.

I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance,
A church filled with family and friends.
I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for,
He said one that would make me his wife.

A hundred hearts would be too few
To carry all my love for you.

As you can see, I love this opportunity to be in a romantic mood again!!

Well, for the hearts or some symbles. They are from the software I bought called "ATOK" by Japanese maker.
It has "Input Method Editor" and really helpful for me when I type English. This gives me a list of some possible words each time I enter alphabet.
Hehe,clever guy, isn't it?

Lots of hug and Love from Japan!!!

The big day's drawing near, Thisisme, and I have just the remedy for your pre-wedding jitters. You need to don Gawgus Girl's AC/DC shirt and bop till you drop to some heavy metal! (LOL) You really are blessed to have such a lovely family. I can just imagine Ruby Violet being filled with the wonder of it all come Saturday. Have you rented a tux for Sir Alfred, the world's most dignified dog?

Southhamsdarling said...

Claudia - thank you so much. Not so sure about the wonderful mum bit though!!!

lyndylou - thank you! It was one of those lovely moments in life that makes one glad to be alive!

SkippyMom - Hi dear friend. Yes, champagne always hits the spot!! I will have a lovely week, I'm sure!

Odie - yes, it was such a lovely surprise! I do know that I am very fortunate indeed with my loving, caring family. Hope Linda is feeling a bit easier at the moment. I have been thinking of you both.

VintageSunday - thank you so much for your lovely comment, and for your prayers for the day itself. I am very lucky indeed with my bloggy friends!

Natasha - Yes, it is a peony. Aren't they glorious?! I must get some for the garden. I'm glad you liked the rose in my header, and it was lovely to see you here today.

Sush - yes, hopefully we hold their hearts for ever. I can feel so much love around at the moment. It's going to be a bit of an anti-climax when it's all over!

Shady - you ARE funny my dear friend! LOL! I shall bop to something, but it won't be heavy metal! Hee Hee! I can just imagine Ruby Violet dashing all over the place on Saturday! She's at that age where they just don't sit still for 2 minutes! Still, I have a cunning plan and will have lots of things to (hopefully) keep her occupied during the actual wedding ceremony!! I'm sure Alfred won't let us down in the sartorial stakes - not if G-T has anything to do with it anyway!!!

Southhamsdarling said...

Stella - yes, those moments are very precious, as you say, and we must make the most of them.

Grammy Goodwill - I don't think I will be blogging very much this week! Thank you so much for keeping your fingers crossed for the weather. It will certainly be amazing if its anything other than dry, with all these positive thoughts that are going on! You have my permission to uncross them when you type! You can cross your toes then instead! Hee Hee!

Glenda - I couldn't agree more about we all need some romance in our lives. As you say, that's the wonderful thing with weddings, there is such love and hope for the future :)

Aunt Amelia's Attic - As I said to Grammy Goodwill, I don't think you'll be seeing much of me this week. As long as you don't forget me!! :(
