Sunday Snaps!

Eli and Ruby on the wedding day.
(You haven't seen these before!).

A life-long blessing for children is to fill them with warm memories of times together. Happy memories become treasures in the heart to pull out on the tough days of adulthood.

Adorable. Any other weddings planned at your house any time soon? This one was so exciting.

These photos of the wedding are such a treasure. I feel your daughter should be a professional photographer. I work in the Photo Lab at Wal-Mart and we process a lot of the professional photos, plus photography has been my hobby as long as I can remember. I try to stress to the younger kids and newlyweds what a treasure photos can be. Thanks for sharing yours.

Olive - aren't they gorgeous?! I'm afraid we have no more weddings to come in the family now. We will have to wait for my eldest granddaughter, who is now 13. Hee Hee!!

rainbow - that's really interesting that you work in the Photo Lab at Walmart. You must see SO many photos. The two I have posted today were in a batch that my daughter had discarded, but I thought they were really sweet!

Jo-Anne Rambling - thank you. I'm sure my daughter will be very pleased with your comment! Yes, he has gorgeous hair. I love it!

SkippyMom - hi there! Well, it depends on which comic you're going to give me!! Hee Hee! Hope you're having a good weekend. I thought the quote was lovely.

Claudia - thank you, and I'm glad to see that you enjoyed the concert last night, and that your headaches have gone. That's good news indeed.

Soooooooooo cute...

See, I told you, you could pop more pics in, here and there. -giggles-

Yes, your daughter is amazing with her photography. And especially, with her "photographer's eye."

Many people can point-and-shoot and get the-main-parts of what's going on. But it takes "the eye," to see the great shot. And then, to crop it.

To me, cropping is so, so, so important. I'd be surprised if she didn't love her cropping tool, too. :-)

A fine looking lad and lass they are, Eli and Ruby! I often think of all the children from shattered families who grow up without happy memories of this kind to draw upon. Your family is blessed in so many ways, dear Thisisme. Have a wonderful Sunday!

You are so right. I made scrapbooks for each of my nieces when they turned 30 and used pictures of them with their cousins. I think they appreciated the memories they contained. Now I'm feeling guilty that I didn't do the same for my nephews. Maybe I'll try that for their 40th birthdays.

Shady - they are rather special, aren't they, that Eli & Ruby Violet. You are so right, I am very blessed my dear friend. Yes, I often think of all the poor children that do not have good childhoods and it is just so sad.

Odie - thank you my friend, and thank you for always popping by and leaving your comments. I do appreciate them all!

Becca - thank you! I'm with you in thinking that children really do take the best photographs. Just like your special little man!

Chatty Crone - thank you my friend. It's true though, isn't it, that these memories do last into adulthood, and we must feel so sorry for the poor little ones that do not have these good memories :(

What a precious shot of those children. I wish more people realized how important it is to save memories starting when a child is very young.

Southhamsdarling said...

Hi Diane,
I just had the most delightful feeling looking at the little 'Ruby Dance' going on there! What precious grandchildren! And the oldest is thirteen...such a delightful age of becoming the person she will be!

Hi Diane, many thanks for your comments, yes I really love living near the sea too, I find it so relaxing. The book is very useful for helping you to narrow down your wardrobe and stick to the basics. I have already put some ideas into practice. I think it's good for girls of any age! I forgot yo say that I was very impressed with your little signature thingy and your handwritten post...my mind boggles. I'll stick to Picnik and Pinterest for now! Have a wonderful week, love Linda x The book is Parisian Chic by Ines de la Fressange printed by Flammarion.
