I've Caught A Butterfly!

My lovely and very artistic friend, EvaMarie has handed me The Butterfly Award.  This is a new Award to me, so thank you very much EvaMarie!  Much appreciated!

To accept this Award, I have to 1) refer back to the person who gave me the award, 2) answer the questions below, and 3) pass it on.

Questions :

Name your favourite colour : dusky pink.

Name your favourite song : That's a difficult one for me, because I have favourites going right back to the 1960's (yes, I AM that old!!!), but one that I absolutely adore at the moment is Adele singing Make You Feel My Love.  The words are beautiful and I listen to it over and over because I am such an old romantic! (Hee Hee).  I don't know whether the link I have added will work, because I have never done this before, but you can easily Google it if you would like to listen to the song.

Name your favourite dessert : (I thought it said 'favourite desert' when I first read it!! Ooops!) : warm chocolate cake with soft melting chocolate on the inside with cream or vanilla ice cream. (Gosh, I feel that I've  put on 5 lbs just thinking about that).

What whizzes (????? ?) you off : I presume that means what upsets me! : I can't stand meanness in people, and I don't like unkindness or bullying.

When you're upset, you? : cry!

Your favourite pet : I don't have a pet at the moment, although I have been dog-sitting Alfred, my daughter's French bulldog, whilst they have been on holiday in Ibiza.  They will be home again on Wednesday evening.

Black or White : I guess black, although that's not written in black and white!

Your biggest fear : becoming so ill that someone would have to look after me, and I would lose all my independence.  Makes me shudder just thinking about it.

Best feature : my heart.

Everyday attitude : caring.

What is perfection : God's love.  After that, sitting in St Mark's Square in Venice (at Florians) enjoying a chilled glass of Rose¬ and listening to the orchestra playing.

Guilty pleasure : I'm don't really feel guilty about any of my pleasures!

I would now like to pass this Award on to -

Becca at http://www.everydaylifes.com/

Teresa at The Middle Side of Life.  Teresa is actually having surgery today, so it would be nice if you could say a prayer for her, or just send her healing thoughts.

Duncan over at Our Home Called Kuantan.

Lovely to be with you all again today, and I'll see you again soon!

Congratulations on reaping another well deserved blog award, Thisisme. Your answers enabled me to learn a little more about you. There were no surprises, however, because I already knew that you are a loving, caring person and an outstanding citizen of the world. F.Y.I. - my favorite desert is the Gobi! (LOL) Give Alfred a pat and tell him Shady (Tom) sends his love. Have a wonderful Tuesday, dear friend!

Hi Diane,
What a nice post - I like your answers :)
So happy to be off work now for a few weeks - to just chillax! Hope the weather is good over there - it's been a bit dull here today, but quite warm.
I will collect plenty of inspiration for my art and I will take a lot of pictures to post when I get back.
Enjoy your evening my friend :)

lyndylou - it is a cute little Award, isn't it?! Thanks for popping over today. I've just read your post about the demise of poor Mumbles. You are a wicked woman!!!

Raindrops and Daisies - Hi Fiona. It makes me smile every time I type the name of your blog! Thank you for your congratulations.

Shady Del Knight - Hi dear friend Tom. Outstanding citizen of the world? Pardon me?! Who is this paragon of virtue - it certainly can't be me!!! I was going to say Sahara for the Desert. Hee Hee! I've enjoyed looking after little Alfred, and he is being very good. It's a whole new experience for me, having a dog around. Enjoy your week over there in Florida.

Odie - thank you, as always, for your comment and glad you enjoyed the post. I thought the questions were a bit different from the norm. Hope it's not too hot for you over there mhy friend.

vintch - your words (in your posts and in your comments) always manage to warm my heart. Thank you for that my friend.

rainbow - oh my, what a lovely, generous comment you have left for me today. Thank you so much for that. I admire you when you type in capitals that you are happy for your family's adventure. Of course you are, but it won't make it any easier for you will it my friend? I will remember you in my prayers.

Eva Marie - thank you my friend. I can imagine how wonderful it feels to be going away for two whole weeks. Have a wonderful time and, as you say, just think of all that inspiration you will gather whilst you're over there. Have a super chillaxing time!!

Claudia - thank you so much, and for always popping across to leave a comment. I'm wondering if the background of my blog is a little too pink!! Hee Hee! So pleased you saw some warm sunshine today.

thank you very much for the award! i was trying to get through all of my blogs tonight but just not quite up to it. surgery went well and i'm home, but dealing with quite a lot of pain. not terrible, but enough to be an annoyance and need medication for.

this is the hardest part of the whole thing - getting the screw put in. once i get the processor (in about 3 months) this will just be a distant memory.

i'll get my answers up in the next day or so.

thanks for the shout-out. i think a lot of people were praying for me today because i did very well; no panic or anxiety attacks at all.

you are very much such a very sweet lady and i'm blessed to call you friend.

A lovely award for you. My favorite song of all time is Unchained Melody - I loved it before it became the theme song for the movie Ghost. It's so heartbreakingly romantic.
