Sunday Snaps! (And a Prayer Request Please).

Hard to believe that it's Sunday again already.  It's actually a Bank Holiday weekend here in England.  We get two in May, one at the beginning and one at the very end. The forecast, of course, is for it to be dull and getting colder again! Eeek! Somehow I don't think I will be sitting out in the garden with my glass of wine.

Hubby will be busy, as he is in the middle of erecting a new greenhouse, 6 metres x 3 metres, so it will be good to be able to bring on all my young plants.  I do tend to have lots of hanging baskets and tubs around the garden, so this will save quite a bit of money in the long run.

Some of my 'older' Followers might remember that last year was a very worrying time for my daughter Emma, as her very best friend (who was then 39) developed breast cancer, and went through a really tough time, with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and then a Masectomy.  All this just a couple months after having her much longed for baby, Lily.  So, really, for the first ten months of Lily's life, she was too poorly to look after her.

Anyway, Emma's friend (who is Eleanor's Godmother) celebrated her 40th birthday only a couple of weeks ago, and she has now found another lump.  She will know the results of the biopsy when she goes back for a Scan next week.  I know that we are saying prayers for various bloggy friends at the moment, but if you could offer up another one for Kelly, I would be grateful, as I really do believe in the power of prayer.  Thank you!

Here are a couple of photos of little Eli which I took this week.  He had just been to the Hairdressers for the first time for another haircut.  His hair really does grow very quickly.  I can hardly believe that he will be FOUR at the end of June.  My goodness me, where did that time go?!

The following photo is one I took of daughter number one with her niece, Ruby Violet, last week. Apparently, Emma was reading some of my blog posts for April, and pointed out that I had called her daughter number two by mistake! Eeeek!

Daughter number 1 had a fantastic time in the Dominion Republic (actually it was a small island off the mainland) and she said that it was just like being in paradise.  I haven't seen any photos yet, but watch this space!

The following is a photo of granddaughter number 1, which was taken whilst we were out for our meal the evening before they went back to France.

You have seen a similar photo to this next one, but not this particular shot.  I just love it, because it is such a happy photo, and she really is such a fun person to be around.  I can't wait for our holiday together in July!

Well, that's another 'Sunday Snaps' done and dusted.  I'm running out of ideas a bit now, and I've been doing this feature for quite some time, so I might have to think of a 'Sunday Something Else' for a while!

Bye for now, and I look forward to seeing you again soon.  Take care.

Dearest Diane,
I admire your dear husband with his hard work. It sure looks a tough job unless you are a professional carpenter. Looking GOOD, isn't it♪
I DO pray for Kelly and her baby!!!
Oh, lovely snaps and even me can see how fast he is growing through your marvelous pictures♡♡♡

Diane, I've always wanted to get a decent picture of the bubbles like that!

I'll be remembering Kelly in my prayers too. The little boy who was kidnapped in Malaysia was recently returned to his family, so a lot of prayers were answered there.

The new greenhouse is looking great. I'm sure you're excited to get your flowers and things in there!

Of course we will send heartfelt prayers and good thoughts to Kelly. I am praying that she doesn't have to go through it again and it is benign. Poor dear. She must be a terrific fighter tho' and I am sure with all the love that surrounds her that she will come through what may be like a star. :D

I cannot believe Eli is going to be FOUR!!! I remember his first haircut - and I giggle because he isn't even MY grandson. heehee

Have a wonderful week Diane. I know you will truly appreciate it and enjoy it. You deserve nothing but smiles and happiness, as it is what you bring to us everyday too.

Hugs and much love my friend. :D

Will pray for Kelly. All your kiddos are gorgeous. Your hubs is a brilliant builder. It is so hot here I nearly became dehydrated yesterday while out shopping at my sales. Have a lovely day.

Hi Diane,
I will be saying prayers for Kelly as she anticipates results, and for her health to be restored. I recently had my annual health check and received a letter in the mail. My husband wanted me to open it immediately. His nervousness about this was unsettling, and so then I became worried. Thankfully, the letter was only a report that I am healthy. What a relief! I feel very blessed because there are so many people in this world who are suffering and struggling and enduring so much.

The greenhouse project is amazing! We have all of our salvaged windows still sitting in the garage, waiting for a day or two off to begin construction on our greenhouse. I'm so excited about this because gardening is one of the most theraputic activities. May you enjoy many peaceful hours there!

Hallo hallo hallo, dear Thisisme! Sorry I'm late. Was it wine in the garden that gave you the giggles yesterday? :)

I am so sorry to learn that Emma's friend Kelly has a new health concern. I know how much it must weigh on daughter #1's mind. I offer my prayers for Kelly's full and complete recovery.

Eli is a great looking boy and Ruby Violet and Eleanor also emerged from the deep end of the gene pool.

I hope you enjoy using your new greenhouse and remember to give your hard working husband a hug and a smooch.

That Dominican isle seems like a very exciting vacation destination.

So glad all is well with your immediate family (including Alfred). Now if only the English weather would cooperate! Have a happy Sunday, dear Thisisme!

Those are some pretty neat pictures. Your grandchildren are awesome.

I will be praying for Emma's friend. There is great power in prayer.

That greenhouse is really something. Your hubby is quite the gifted man. He's a keeper.

Well, I was given the right post to comment on this time around. I have to say, I love your header photo...two beautiful ladies! Your greenhouse will be an exciting place to wander thru with a cup of coffee, or tea. You'll have so much room to congregate all the fun plants and flowers!

Eli's new haircut is adorable-he's such a prince! He's not much older than our Shawn who will be 4 in late October. It is apparent that your two little ones have such wonderful times when they're with you...that's what we want!

I'm sorry for your daughter's friend, and for your daughter, who cares so much. My thoughts and prayers are for them both. She's had enough hardship, I wish her the best of news.

And, I did look up 'Terry' by Twinkle. I didn't know of her, but I watched her video on Youtube. Thank you for sharing your memories Diane. Hugs until next time!

I will certainly be praying for Kelly. I think it is wonderful for you to have a large greenhouse. Congrats on that! Granddaughter #1 always looks full of joy. She is a lovely girl. My daughters have been to the Dominican Republic and said it was their favorite vacation spot. I'm glad they had a good time. Love and hugs.
