Hi everyone. I'm just popping in to say "hallo" and to apologize for getting behind in leaving comments on your lovely blogs.
My family from France arrived on Wednesday and I'm taking time to enjoy their company. I have tried to pop over to see you as often as I can, but I'm sure you will understand if I take a little time out from blogging. They are here until the 26th August and I am then going back with them for a while, returning home on the 3rd September.
Two dear bloggy friends have just decided to stop blogging altogether as it just takes up so much time, and part of me thinks that perhaps this is the sensible route to take.
I shall give it some thought during this little sabbatical. Perhaps I will just post a couple of times a month. I just don't know at the moment, although the pressure to try to keep up with it all has been building for a little while now.
I am well aware that I have the bestest Followers around, and I really do consider you to be 'real' friends now, and it would be hard to walk away from all that, because I know how much I would miss you all.

You just do whatever is best for you, and one thing is clear: we will be here for you anytime :) enjoy the time with your family and Paris :)
I hope your time with family is exquisitely lovely (as I already know it will be, good weather or not!)
Yes, we fully understand as blogging comes much lower on the list of priorities, but I do enjoy your posts so much and hope you will keep at least a toe in the water, my friend.
I totally understand. My blogging has become a lot more sporadic these days but hey, that is how it goes. I refuse to stress about it though, just glad when someone decides to read anything I write :)
Have a lovely time with your family, cos time with them is so very precious :)x
I sure do understand.
do what is best for you
Summer is always so full - for all of us I think. A bit of a break is good for you. I've only posted a handful of times this summer. I feel a little liberated now that I don't feel pressured to blog. Please don't give it up altogether though. We all love to watch your life unfold through your words. You have a way of adding cheer to all the lives you touch. Will miss you - but I do understand.
I so understand! I support whatever decision you make knowing it is in your and your families best interest. Having stopped blogging myself for awhile due to the pressures it brings and keeping up. I think there are seasons. I now am back to blogging for the time being. Not as much as I once did. But I know we will always be friends. You have and will continue to enrich and bring joy into my life. I consider you friend and look forward to the day we will meet whether here or in the heavens.
Blessings my friend
Hallo, dear Thisisme! I didn't realize that Alfred & company were back for a long visit to Devon. I hope the weather is cooperating. One by one we're all cutting back on blogging or dropping out entirely. My friend Emma at Gawgus-Things has also taken a break from blogging and I can understand why you wish to do the same. I hope you are enjoying your long family reunion and that you will also relish your return visit to France. I'm sure you are keeping in mind that your October holiday with Eleanor is fast approaching as well. Your cheery posts will be missed, dear friend, but family comes first and I know you are doing the right thing at the right time. Please stay in touch with me whenever you can because I care deeply about you and your family. Blessings be with you, dear Thisisme!
Au revoir til September, and as the song goes "will I see you in September?", I hope the answer is yes. Just blog once a week or once a month if you feel pressure. You are the Boss of your own blog and can set the rules!
I understand,I posted a similar post last week.I have so much enjoyed your "Company"on-line.I love hearing about your life and family, hope We stay in contact, maybe through blogging later.Hugs Denise
Oh yes,One more thing,if you received a strange E-mail that looked like it was from Me and or My hubby,it wasn't us.It was a hacker.I did a post on it.Denise
Oh my! It seems every time I stop in to visit a blog they are announcing they are dropping from the blogging world. :( Count me among those who understand. My break has lasted much longer than I had anticipated! This has been such a crazy summer. I hope to get back into the swing of things - eventually. I agree with you, and count my bloggy friends among my real friends.
So, take care, dear friend, and enjoy your family time. I hope to see you back from time to time.
Hugs to you!
Take your time on this decision, but do what you feel is best. Totally understand where you are coming from...
If blogging less is a sign that you are enjoying life and living it to the fullest, then I say Go For It and Enjoy!! You can always come back and share your adventures when you're having a slower period. Have fun while you're away and take good care of yourself :)
Loved the awesome pictures on your header. You just concentrate on having a blast with your family there and in France. That is precious time for you and we understand. I'll stay in touch
Hugs,
Odie
I had to take a break too. It is hard to keep up with so many great friends. I understand completely. We must put family first, which I am doing now that I have one more family member - my Sis, who I love so much. God bless and have a wonderful visit and trip with your granddaughter. I hope you just pop in from time to time. No need to keep up with everyone. I can't do it any more either. Hugs.
Wow everyone is quitting or taking a break right now. It might be a sign of the times. I wish you a great time with your family and while on vacation. I do understand about breaks and running late. Hope you come back refreshed.

Hey Diane, blogging is time-consuming when you have so many friends out there! Perhaps facebook is an easier way to keep in touch with everyone :-)
I totally understand what you are saying. I have had to take a break from blogging myself this summer. I just had too much going on to keep up with it all.
I too am seeing many drop blogging lately, or they are on extended breaks. I think that is just how it goes at various times during the year.
You, my dear, are special. I will miss your cheery posts and lovely photos. I hope when the time is right you will be back among us. In the meantime, ENJOY the family, soak up the time with each other. Nothing is more important. Hugs.
Hi Diane, I do not need to write a long spiel as you already know my thoughts on blogging. I have noticed there is a gradual and noticeable shift for many of us to use other social media to keep in touch as blogging becomes unmanageable alongside real life! See you soon, you know where. xx
Diane have a lovely time with your family and enjoy them.
I hope to see you blogging again
but I certainly understand that it does take up a lot of time.
Sometimes it is just impossible to keep up.
I agree with the others that you must do what is best for you.
Take care x
While I would miss you if you were to go, you have to do what is best for you.
Hope you have the most wonderful time with your family
Dearest Thisisme, I don't want to see you go. I understand what you feel tho. Maybe when you're back in September, you'll at least drop a post once in a while...I will miss you-you're one of the reasons I'm still here! No pressure, lol! I'm always happy to see you on facebook, and, will keep looking for you there. Have a wonderful visit with your family. Hugs to you my friend!♥
Dearest Diane,
So sorry for my belated comment. I was SO tied up with the Obon thing(^^;)
I DO wish you have a lovely time with your family.
And I really can see how you must be feeling!!! I always wish to have more time to comment for all my bloggie friends. Waiting for you, my DEAREST Diane in England(♥^_^♥)~*
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
Dear Diane, A time of detachment is good for the soul! I have done that several times and sometimes feel called to return. It is the nature of blogging I think.
I think I've been blessed by the fact that I'm not popular. If I were to keep up with a great crowd it wouldn't leave much time for anything else, and that is unhealthy.
I hope you have a wonderful time with your family, and I know you will! I'm so happy to have you as my real friend and know that whether we are blogging or not, those feelings of gratitude will never fade when I think of you.
Hi, I totally understand and did a post last week saying where does the time go! It takes up. Lot of time. I can hardly believe how much less craft work I am doing! I have only been blogging a few months so am not the expert. What I do know is that I am more aware of a lot of things now........whether to bog about...or not. Enjoy your time in Francs. Rest and relax and don't even think about this until you return! Joan
Hi Diane, I hope that you are having a nice time there with your family. We always need to do what is best for ourselves, I feel that I am falling further and further behind in my blog reading due to work and such. Fully understand your situation.
Enjoy your week my friend!
Eva
I hope you don't give up blogging completely, but I certainly understand cutting back. We don't need our blogging to be done by schedule, right?
Some weeks I think of daily post possibilities while other weeks I am pressed for time to sit down and open up a link.
Make happy memories. We will be here when you return xo
As I'm on a 'break' myself I throughly understand. I'll miss you like crazy if you go away altogether. FB isn't the same as the blog...you do such a fun and wonderful job of informing and entertaining with your posts.
Have fun...love to all the family and special love from me to you!
Hugs~
Always, always do what is best for you sweet lady. I'm just glad I know we can still stay in touch one way or another.
I bet you are exhausted from all the excitement. I know I would be. :)
Take care and we'll see ya' on the flipside lovely! Love you.
