Sunday Snaps!

Happy Sunday Peeps! Can you believe how quickly the weeks have flown by since Christmas.  Easter will soon be here!

I'm actually typing this on Saturday, as Sunday is Mothering Sunday here in England (today as you read this!).  Daughter number 2 is coming down in the morning and the girls are preparing a special breakfast, and then later on in the day, we are going out for lunch, so I'm looking forward to that.

Not many Sunday Snaps today, but I hope you enjoy them nevertheless.  My friends on Facebook will have seen this first one.  Last Thursday it was World Book Day and a lot of the schools encouraged their younger pupils to come as a character from a childrens' book.  As you can see, Eli went as Cat in a Hat.  Ruby didn't want to be left out, so she had to put her Princess dress on to join in the fun!

Ever since Ruby was a baby, Alfred has absolutely adored her.  It's really strange, because he doesn't bother with Eli very much, but Ruby he faithfully follows everywhere!

The following photo is of Kelly with her hubby and little girl.  This was taken last year and her hair had just grown back after her treatment for the breast cancer.  Just think of that little girl being left without a mummy.

Here is a photo of daughter number 2 (mummy of Eli & Ruby) when we were out for a rather windy walk.

As a lot of you know, we have an open fireplace in the lounge.  Well, my husband has been on about having a woodburner for quite a while, so I finally agreed.  I think we will use it a lot more and, hopefully, it will look nice when it's all installed.  We have just placed the order, so I'm quite excited about getting it now.

With the  following two photos I was just practising with the panoramic view option on my iPhone.  The first one is of the kitchen, and the second when I was out for a walk.

Hope you all have a safe week ahead.  Hugs and blessings to you from your friend in deepest Devon.

Hallo, dear Thisisme! This is a wonderful collection of snaps for a Sunday. Ruby and Eli make a royal couple and I am so pleased to see them side by side. It's also a pleasure to feast me eyes on my good friend Alfred. My Toto often becomes aggressive around men in uniform such as postal delivery men and service technicians; yet she has always been gentle as a lamb around infants, toddlers and children. I think they bring out her mothering instinct whereas men in uniform bring out her protective instinct. You have a bright and beautiful kitchen. Thank you for showing me a panoramic view of it and the countryside near your home. It will be tragic if Kelly's family loses her. They continue to be in my prayers. I hope you had a nice breakfast and will enjoy your luncheon with the girls. We turned our clocks ahead one hour last night, thereby losing an hour of sleep. It will take a few days to adjust. I want you to know that I am getting house guests of my own a few days from now and will be extremely busy with family activities for a week. If I am a day or two late reading and commenting on your blog, please remember that I am tied up and will get here as soon as possible. Happy Sunday, dear Thisisme. I hope you have a marvelous week ahead!

I think you will like the wood stove. We have one at the yellow house that has a blower that blows heat out into the house. We have fabulous neighbors and friends that give us wood. I love the panoramic shots and have never thought to put them on the blog-you are clever. I cannot bear to think of that baby losing her Mother. hugs, Olive

Hi Diane,
When I saw the picture of Ruby and Eli on FB it really made me smile, they look adorable.
A wood burner will be great for you in the cold and windy evenings, you can never go wrong with one of those ;)
Will continue to pray for Kelly's family, it's so sad.
Sounds like you have it all set for Mother's Day, enjoy it my friend. And, your kitchen is lovely :-)

Happy Mothering Day! I know it will be a delight in your home.

The pictures are terrific, and I especially loved Eli and Ruby dressed up. So cute! (I have not been on FB much the last week or so.)

Your home is beautiful and the panoramic feature is amazing. I shall have to look for a camera with that on it as I think it would be fun.

You have such a nice life and family. The grandkids look fantastic in costumes. You must really enjoy working in that sparkling kitchen. Kelly has a beautiful husband and little girl. So sad when young people have problems.
Hope your day is a joy.
Oh, that header bouquet is a thing of wonderment. I had so many beautiful flowers in Bozeman but I moved last summmer and have to start over. I rarely pick flowers to put in the house. I leave them outside with the bees and the butterflies. Ha I'm excited to plan some new gardens.

Wonderful photos! How sweet the children look and what fun to dress up. I think of Kelly often and pray for her and her family. It breaks the heart to think of that precious little girl losing her mom. What a sad world we live in sometimes.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. My sister gave me a gift certificate for Sony bookstore and I ordered 5 books. I'm so excited. God bless.

An amazing Sunday Snaps Thisisme! I mean, first you have Mothering Day, and, then the wonderful pics with great stories to go with them.
(I think I'll have to number them!)
1. Love the photo of Albert and Ruby-he (Albert) is such a prince!
2. Oh, what a beautiful little princess, that precious Ruby, and a very sophisticated 'Cat in the Hat' standing by her side.
3. Wonderful pic of friend Kelly and family...such wonderful and loving smiles.
4. Daughter #2 is so lovely...and, has the most beautiful children!

You know, I haven't seen your blog postings on facebook in a few days. And I tried to network mine, but don't know if it even took. So, I decided not to fret about it...I'll just continue on!

Happy Mothering Day again! See you soon!♥
